They said new parts needed to be replaced on the pump and they were waiting for them to come in, we had to continuously reach out in desperation to get the problem resolved. After six weeks of waiting and nicely reaching out him he responded and said we were harassing him and to find someone else. Could not believe it, offered no refunds, no apologies, absolutely horrible. We got someone else out to the house immediately after only to find out the pump and filters we bought and paid for and had them install were completely incorrect and not properly installed!!!!!!!!! If you have green to blue discoloration, it can require sand blasting and very $$$ repairs. Chemistry is key. Eventually, we asked for readings but often did not receive them. 2. Now we know why we had so many issues as we have learned how bad the chemistry was...and even why we had mold in corners of spa. So many issues. Our pool cover failed too early too (though that may have been when we were going from Jared's company (see previous pool reviews) to Yaz, which was handed over from Jared due to geographical reasons. 3. Not honest about service (work done/time spent...sometimes he was in and out so fast!). Our pool was often not very well cleaned, even though we got the robotic pool cleaner (as recommended by his colleague Jared) and continued to be recommended by Yaz) 4. Would quote for work, and advise he was not up-charging but then his quotes were the highest. We did not have transparency on who would actually be doing the work and if they licensed etc (lights change out for example.) Née heater install was quoted with no transparency or details). to change out one broken light on the fountain, it was over $1000. Communication on the process was lacking as well. 5.Note, his website does not necessarily show his clients pools. He had to remove his facebook page for putting up other people's homes/pools/fountains that he did not service but implied he did. 6. As with any supplier, decide if you want your home used in their advertising or not...and be clear. Be mindful the image as you see on his website or other business pages are actually not necessarily of water features or ponds or pools that he services. 7. Improper maintenance of the pool also meant he would try to tell us that all the sand in the pool and spa was normal. It eventually lead to heater breakage and more expensive and problems not to mention a dirty pool after a visit. I do hope he is able to improve his service and that someday you will read many good reviews. We let him go in April and I have had to let some time go before i do the review.

My new pool was completed about a week ago (different pool builder). The startup guy my pool…read morebuilder hired to start the equipment and balance the water messed up bad and added way too much cyanuric acid (more than 100ppm). PebbleTec says to have no more than 30ppm during the first 4 weeks. There are two ways to fix high cyanuric acid problems, 1) drain and refill, 2) filter it out using reverse osmosis. PebbleTec strongly discouraged the drain/refill option as it could damage the new PebbleSheen finish. That's where Pacific Pools came into the picture. I called on a Thursday and spoke with Travis. He said he could be there Monday morning and fix my problem. He showed up on time, was professional, knowledgeable, informative and friendly. The RO process took about 10 hours. At the end of it all the water was back within PebbleaTec's recommended startup range.

We did bring up about the sand both to him and then to Yaz. Whoever is maintaining the pool when they do a backwash, it's important that they can address that issue. I could get into the technicalities of the install issue that we had Santa Barbara Koi identify and fix, but this would get too long. It is true and we appreciate that you could offer to come remove some of the sand when It was identified that too much sand had been put in during install. Then overtime that cracked a certain pipe and overtime it also created heater problems and is why we had to repair and eventually get a new heater. Then the new heater had issues that were super odd and that is when the other company who handles the warranty discovered the issue with the sand filter. Had it and installed correctly we would not have had the eventual pipe issue and the heater problems. If anybody really wants to dive into it, they can private message me. Jared , if you would like more insights about this you can talk to the warranty representative leader in town. I know you both spoke a few times about the issue. I also know that Yaz texted you these pictures in November 2018 but nobody seem to have addressed it until we got Santa Barbara Koi involved - when we had even problems with the new heater because of the sand. Also be very careful that he is not using photos of your property without your permission. We have found images that we have not authorized He reaction to my honest review - just my datapoint - is a bit unnerving.
