Beware of: C&K Beachside Remodeling of Satellite Beach,…read moreFlorida LLC Business# (865) 224-1517 Satellite Beach FL 32937 and Blue Collar Remodeling and Decks of Loudon, Anderson, & Roanne Counties, Tennessee. LLC Business# (865) 224-1517 Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Christopher Thompson and Kelsey Thompson are the owners of these LLC's. The one in Satellite Beach is the one I met them through. They wasted 5 months of my time, and canceled 4 appointments at the last minute. Then I had to fight for my deposit money back, only to have it be a check with Insufficient Funds. Getting the police involved was the only way to get them to pay up. I had a small project that should have/would have taken three days to complete and would aid me in my disability. In September they looked at the job to convert my tub into a walk-in shower, came up with a plan and a price, and let me know I needed to deposit cash into their account quickly so they could order what was needed. It was in their account the next day. They canceled the first appointment in mid-November 2024 the night before they were due here. I found out they weren't coming when I texted Kelsey and she didn't reply, so I called her to ask what time they would be arriving. She claimed 'Chris had a stroke 5 weeks ago'. She then said he lost a week to tests and getting back on his blood pressure meds. His 'stroke' had been a spell of high blood pressure. They were 'back at work after that week' and hadn't notified me that the appointment would need to be rescheduled. The next appointment was for Dec 9th. It was canceled on the 9th at 9:15 in the morning when I texted Kelsey asking where they were. This time it was due to someone else being out sick with the flu. I had never heard of the person until then. He was their 'demo guy'. I had been told only Kelsey and Chris would be here. They didn't think I needed to know. A few days later she gave me Dec 16th for date number three. It was canceled at 9:45 that morning when I again texted asking where they were. Here I got a load of lies, with Kelsey screaming that I didn't understand what it took to get 5 kids out of bed, get them dressed, fed, and ready for school or church. The fact is she sometimes has her three young children, and that somehow becomes five when its convenient for her to say. She's using her home life that she chose as reason she can't function for this two-person company. Very unprofessional from a grown woman. Kelsey went silent for about 10 days; I assume it was for Christmas but wasn't informed of such. She then gave me January 3rd, 2025 for my 4th date for this project. On January 2nd she sent me a texted letter stating that they were quitting the job altogether and would be returning my deposit in full plus $100 for my inconvenience. That began the month of fighting for the return of my deposit money. She claimed to a 3rd party she had a contract that stated they would return funds in 30 days if they quit the job. A crock; as her extremely limited, internet-created, 'contract' states bare minimum of one sentence to describe the work and the amount it will be. She also claimed she sent the check on 1/15 when she actually mailed it on 1/21. She claimed she had sent me a copy of the check; she had not. She claimed she kept me up to date on changes; in truth, she only responded when I texted or called her. She claimed companies cannot put funds into personal bank accounts; I guess that means those direct deposits (used since the 1980's) from places of employment aren't really happening. As I told Kelsey, her understanding of business, practices, and legalities could fit in a thimble; she spouts it as gospel making her look more foolish. I know without a doubt that if a 3rd person hadn't gotten involved in this mess, I would not have received a refund without suing them and collecting on the judgment. She was advised this was my next step, and replied "I don't care." More truth there than in much else; Kelsey doesn't care. About professionalism, truth, good business practices, honesty, skilled work, standing on her word, and more. When the police officer contacted her about the check and the case being filed, she said she could get the funds to the account to be cashed within the hour. She had known for several hours what was happening and still hadn't taken care of the matter until she saw how serious this situation was. He advised her this is a 3rd degree felony. Kelsey lies, hollers, and belittles her way through transactions. Chris goes along with whatever, allowing Kelsey to drive his business(es) straight into the ground. He doesn't seem to understand that staying in the background doesn't absolve him of guilt in these business matters. Please beware of Kelsey and Chris Thompson. There are honest, dependable, skilled workers out there to choose from.
