If you're shopping for a hot tub and want a very knowledgeable, no-pressure buying experience, ask…read morefor Liam at Spa & Sauna Company. I've honestly never left a review on Yelp or Google before, but this experience was so good that I felt compelled to share it. I recently purchased a hot tub for my family from Spa & Sauna Company, and Liam made the entire process exceptional from start to finish. Before visiting the store, I had done some research on the type of hot tub we wanted, but once you start looking seriously, the number of options becomes overwhelming--different brands, sizes, salt systems vs. traditional sanitation, lounge seats vs. no lounge, installation considerations, maintenance, and more. When I walked into the store, I appreciated that I could browse for a bit without anyone immediately approaching me with a sales pitch. At just the right moment, Liam came over, introduced himself, and let me know he'd be happy to help if I had any questions. What followed was honestly one of the best sales experiences I've ever had for a major purchase. Liam took the time to really listen to what I was looking for. He walked me through several options and clearly explained the pros and cons of different models--including both less expensive and more premium options. At no point did I feel pressured toward a particular model or add-on. The conversation felt informative, relaxed, and genuinely helpful, and it ultimately helped us find the perfect hot tub for our family. But the support didn't stop after the purchase. Liam helped us think through the best location on our deck for installation, worked through the delivery logistics quickly and smoothly, and has continued to be available afterward to answer questions. As first-time hot tub owners, we had plenty--everything from chemicals and temperature settings to water balance and general maintenance. Liam has been incredibly responsive and helpful through all of it. We've now had the hot tub for about a month and our family absolutely loves it. Like I said, I've literally never written an online review before, but this experience deserved one. If you're looking for a hot tub and aren't sure where to start, Spa & Sauna Company has a great selection--and if you want someone knowledgeable who will guide you through the process without any pressure, ask for Liam.

Great job purging, draining and cleaning our hot tub. Will use them again next year!read more

This is an further update, as more happened since my last review. After Sheena got the results…read morefrom the company about what was contaminating our spa it did turn out to be biofilm. As i mentioned in last update, Sheena had Spa and Sauna replace the ozone filter for free since we had been doing the upkeep, and so she concluded that the ozone filter had never worked. Sheena also had Gonzo come and totally drain and clean and refill the tub, and Sheena wanted him to give us education on how to treat this spa from now on as although we had done all of the upkeep, it had been based on conflicting instructions from people and manuals. Gonzo didn't know that Sheena wanted us to be educated in the one , true way, so he thought it was a concierge service, but he was willing to start all over again and show me what kind of test strips work best, which is not the kind that had come with the kit. Get Aqua chek Chlorine 4-in-1. The chlorine shock that came with the kit was the right one, SpaGuard Enhanced Shock. The filter cleaner was different than the one that came with the kit and a different one, GLB, that Doug had recommended. Gonzo used Filtrete spray on., so we got some of that. Naming these hopefully will keep you from buying expensive stuff that you can't use after all like we did. He said to shock it for 10 days. We did it. Later, I got back to Sheena that there was still a little biofilm, and the control panel was showing straight lines, so I had sprayed out the filter even though it looed immaculate. She said it could be flushing out dead biofilm but to shock another 5 days anyway and that straight lines come when there are microscopic things in the filter. She went to all of this trouble for nothing just to help us with chronic pain. She is a good person and most appreciated.

I spoke with a friend about our experiences at Johnson's, and we both agreed, it feels like walking into an old western saloon where everyone knows "you ain't from around these parts!" I was looking to buy a magnolia, but wanted to know what the differences were, which is better for our environment, so I approached an employee who tried to avoid eye contact with me until he could do it no longer. He started stammering when I asked if he knew anything about the trees I had considered contenders. He fumbled with his walky-talky to try to find someone else to help me, but spotted (who I found out later was the manager) watering plants in the vicinity. He asked her if she could help and she replied rudely with "WHAT?" as she clearly saw me (the customer) asking a question. He stammered nervously and she followed up with "What do you want?" I jumped in and asked my questions about which is best and she said, "They're all pretty much the same." I asked if any were better for our climate/environment and she said with an attitude, "We don't sell anything that doesn't grow around here." She then curtly turned away and went on with watering the plants. I did not feel copacetic with her "customer service," so I bought my tree and decided not to go back. I would rather go to an establishment with less selection, but better service. Also, the prices are on the higher side for some things, but reasonable for others, it just depends on what it is. Either way, Home Depot works for me from now on, and if they don't have what I want, I'll research somewhere other than Johnson's. It's a shame, too, because the place is like walking through a botanical garden, only the vibe given by the staff is that "it ain't big enough for the both of us!"

Beautiful quality, incredibly healthy, already nearly taller than the established shrubs, and very reasonably priced at $129. They helped load it, answered questions, and made the whole process easy. All I have left to do is widen the hole I already dug. You can see a dip in the existing row from an earlier Photinia replacement several years ago from Costco. Love Costco but sometimes you don't want to wait. Thanks Chris!
