Before visiting the store, I had done some research on the type of hot tub we wanted, but once you start looking seriously, the number of options becomes overwhelming--different brands, sizes, salt systems vs. traditional sanitation, lounge seats vs. no lounge, installation considerations, maintenance, and more. When I walked into the store, I appreciated that I could browse for a bit without anyone immediately approaching me with a sales pitch. At just the right moment, Liam came over, introduced himself, and let me know he'd be happy to help if I had any questions. What followed was honestly one of the best sales experiences I've ever had for a major purchase. Liam took the time to really listen to what I was looking for. He walked me through several options and clearly explained the pros and cons of different models--including both less expensive and more premium options. At no point did I feel pressured toward a particular model or add-on. The conversation felt informative, relaxed, and genuinely helpful, and it ultimately helped us find the perfect hot tub for our family. But the support didn't stop after the purchase. Liam helped us think through the best location on our deck for installation, worked through the delivery logistics quickly and smoothly, and has continued to be available afterward to answer questions. As first-time hot tub owners, we had plenty--everything from chemicals and temperature settings to water balance and general maintenance. I am another fan of Jessica and Liam. They both went out of their way to find out how I could solve a problem that seems to be with biofilm in spite of clean-seeming water. Both Liam and Jessica have great customer service skills such as empathy, knowledge, clear explanations, and kind personalities. Liam originally sold me the tub, which malfunctioned due to a problem with the manufacturing. He was supportive every step of the way until that tub was replaced by the manufacturer, Watkins due to an application for replacement by Sheena at the Santa Cruz store. This new replacement tub has a leak and what may be biofilm. I have spoken with Jessica once, and she was very helpful. I don't know how many times I have gotten advice from Liam as various problems have arisen with the tubs, and he is always customer-oriented, does everything he can to get the tub fixed, is completely honest, and he knows what he's talking about since he has years of experience with all kinds of tubs. If you go to this store, for the most reliable possible experience, be sure to ask for Jessica and Liam. He will sell you the tub that you actually need based on your situation and requirements. He is there to help people with medical problems get better using the tubs or if that is not the reason for purchasing a tub, to help improve people's quality of life, and he does all that he can to clear a path when problems arise. This company sells great products and delivers outstanding post sales service. We purchased our Hot Spot SPA from The SPA & SAUNA company 14 years ago in 2011 and have used it 3 or 4 times a week ever since. Had to replace the cover a couple of years ago but otherwise have had no other problems until last week when we opened it to discover it half full. When we opened the service panel we saw water leaking from the heater. I called Ryan at SPA & Sauna and told him it looked like I needed a new heater. I half expected to be told that this SPA had been discontinued and best to just replace it. Nope, that afternoon I received a call from Doug, the service technician who scheduled a service call for the day and came out and within 20 minutes had replaced the failed heater component and was refilling the SPA. Did not even have to replace the heater. In my book SPA & SAUNA is old school, they sell terrific products and stand behind them way past any warranty period. read more

We were in close contact with Jennifer before and after the purchase, and she and the complete Crew did an amazing Job. We did a "wet testing" onside since we coulndt decide for some features and we were greatly guided thgought all the options on the differnt models and options to select. The complete purchasing was super fine. We got great pre-deliveriy information how to prepare for the delivery. During delivery we got a starter set and documentation how to maintian a spa properly. Installation was done with a local electician and went also witout issues. We had a few quesions after the purchase and also Jennifer was super responsive here. We bought our Tiger River HotSpring Spa from Ryan TEN years ago and it is still working GREAT! The product is bullet-proof. We are pretty good about the regular maintenance, but have only had two minor repairs in TEN YEARS! Ryan in Sales could not be more helpful and Matt in Service is knowledgeable and fair. I came in really excited to order our hot tub after discussing options with Hot Spring for a couple of weeks. When I had inquired about delivery timing, I was told that it would be late July. Not a problem - I used this to line up landscapers and electricians for our backyard project. We worked the size of the tub into our project plans. The electrician had the power requirements down. Everything was close to set, but just had to swipe the card. This all fell apart after I stopped by the store to pay and due to a "misunderstanding" the tub would arrive in 16 weeks, not 6. What. A. Mess. Had to pivot to another spa store in Santa Clara. I'll give this place 2 stars instead of 1 because, had they actually been able to get this right, the service would have been quite good. read more

The process to schedule and prepare for the installation of our new hot tub was excellent. Most of the transactions used email so that there was no worry about missing a call. My spa was delivered 6 weeks ago and for the third time I have been waiting a week for the scheduler to call with information regarding the issues resulting from damage that occurred during installation. The past 2 times I have called and visited the showroom where I purchased the hot tub after a week of waiting and the answer is the same, 'you have to wait for the scheduler to call'. There is so much misleading false advertising and I think you really get what you pay for. I have had a Hot Springs Spa for 17 years and love it. I use it almost every night. Incredibly relaxing and wonderful way to end the day. For the past few years I had a small leak because a mouse got into the warmth of the control area and bit a hole in a tube. Not a big deal but annoying because it required filing every week to keep it at the normal level. KEEP YOUR CONTROL PANEL SHUT TIGHT! I replaced this spa with a new Jetsetter. this month, based on excellent recommendations and support from Ryan at the San Jose Hot Springs store. The, when the crew showed up to replace the old tub, we realized that due to the leak, the foam was completely saturated with water, making the tub weigh in the 800 Lb range. The four guys who lifted that tub up 2+ foot to a deck and replaced it were amazing. They were smart and they worked REALLY HARD. I highly recommend Ryan and his terrific team. read more

A week ago we decided that during this trying time it would be great to get a hot tub. I called several places and ended up speaking to Ryan at Hot Spring Spas. He took me on a virtual tour of his showroom and made an appointment so we could look at a spa and socially distance. We picked out one that we liked and went home happy spa owners only to find that our power was not adequate to run the spa. Sheena at Hot Springs found us a spa that would work. They recommended an electrician, Jon at JMC, and 6 days later we are getting ready to try out our new spa. I can not recommend this company enough!! They have FANTASTIC customer service! I bought a 2000 Jetsetter spa almost 15 years ago. Still works great and we use it at least 5 times a week. Just got treatment materials and figured I'd give Chet and Hot Springs a proper review. I've had Matt the service guy out twice in my time of ownership. Once for a pump and once for rodents chewing into the casing and getting a circuit board (added chicken wire around the bottom of the hot tub to prevent repeat). It seemed expensive compared to the other brands, but other friends recommended the Hot Springs so highly I ponied up the extra $. Glad I did. Thanks Chet! read more

Bought my spa here about 14 years ago and it is still going great. The 24-hour circulation pump means it can always heat the water as needed, so it maintains the perfect temperature. We can get in any time, without having to turn on the heater and wait an hour. Just had my first major repair and they did a great job. Came out asap to determine what was wrong (the heater failed), performed the work quickly, and the bill came in under the quote. I am on my second hot springs spa. The first lasted a long time with some repairs along the way. The second, still under warranty, has a panel that is bulging. I've called MANY times over the past 4-5 months to get someone out and I've been told things like we'll call you next week to set up a time. But it never happens. So I've chased the store until finally, thru my effort, a person came to assess the problem. Again, told I'd be contacted regarding necessary plan of action - weeks passed and it didn't happen. I called and finally, had someone scheduled to come and fix the problem. But they were a no show. I can understand if you're busy, short-staffed, whatever, but this lack of follow up and no communication is not acceptable. We just sold our home and will need a new spa but I won't be working with this company again. read more

We bought a sovereign hot tub from Chet 8 years ago, we love the hot tub, use it almost on a daily basis and have had hardly any issues, we just do the routine maintenance and it is good to go. Chet and Ryan are very knowledgeable with their products and to top it off are really nice guys too! We were so impressed with Hot Springs- their products and service that we recently purchased a Michael phelps MP force swim spa- we have only had it a week but I can already see that we will also be using it a lot, it is so much fun! And we still have the sovereign to relax in after a nice swim. I bought a Hot Springs Prodigy tub from Chet 7 years ago. After deciding on Hot Springs, I went to a local dealer who provided no help at all. So, I tried Hot Spring Spas of San Jose even though they were farther. Chet was great. He helped with the choice of spa but more importantly, was VERY knowledgeable about a custom installation I wanted to do. Over the last 7 years I've relied on Chet for many things from adjusting the chemicals, mailing me a new drain plug I broke, to the easiest way to clean filters - you name it. He is willing to go the extra mile to make you happy even AFTER your purchase. The tub has held up great so far - no major problems although I did replace the Ozonator after 4 years. If you're in the market for a hot tub - I would recommend Hot Springs but more importantly, I would recommend you start with Chet and his staff to get great advice on your project. read more
