These guys are horrible. The most in professional mechanic I have ever seen. The guy promised me he would get my car done in 2 weeks, he even said it more then likely be finished before 2 weeks. After a MONTH AND A HALF he still wasn't done. So I called him and he promised me he would have it done by 2pm the next day. I get there at 2 pm and guess what? The guy has the nerve to tell me it would be another 5 HOURS! And after all this, after all this stupidity the first day I have the car IT BREAKS DOWN AGAIN! There is not a worse mechanic on this planet then these guys. Dishonest, unreliable, rude, and just plain sketchy. Don't do it guys it's worth the extra money to go to someone with good reputation please. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my truck to their shop and didn't get it back for many months! I would call every week and they would say, "oh we have been so busy, we'll get to it soon" and when I finally got so angry that I started driving to their work place instead of calling, they had me work personally on my truck! They had me pick up supplies for them! And I even paid them fully upfront! I couldn't get my truck away from them fast enough! They have no idea what they're doing! When I finally picked it up as a "fixed" truck, it was in the same condition that I delivered it to them and ran terribly! I SPENT THOUSANDS ON NOTHING! DO NOT GO HERE! I AM LITERALLY BEGGING YOU! Beware!!! Avoid this place at all cost. Zero stars if it was an option. The guy seems nice, he just doesn't know what he's doing. My daughter's car needed a new transmission. Poor Boy's said they'd have it done in a few days. Almost 5 WEEKS later, she was able to pick the car up. They ordered the wrong size transmission first, then ordered the right one (which cost an additional $600). They tried blaming us for telling them the wrong size engine, but they had the vehicle in their possession the whole time. Why not look up parts based on the VIN #? Weeks and weeks later they said it needed more parts (that cost $400-600). After consulting with one of their mechanic friends, they changed their mind and the car suddenly didn't need the additional part. Weeks later my daughter went to pick up the car and barely made it out of the parking lot before it broke down. Back in to the shop it went for another week. Then, they had the audacity to request more money for something they broke. Ridiculous. Avoid this place. Get second opinions. And don't trust a word they say. read more

Was told my car had an alternator problem and was ready to pay for a repair but JT helped identify the problem was the battery and not the alternator like O'Riley had told me. They then referred me somewhere else to get a battery because they don't sell them since they don't feel right about pricing up batteries. It was so great finding honest good people. If I ever have issues I will be coming here. read more

I worked here for a few weeks amazing environment and fun people to work for! They get vehicles fixed as fast as they can and at good reasonable prices! They are hard working and will do everything they can to help the costumers. I have had a car fixed by them in the past for an amazing price and it came out working amazing. Quality of work: 3 star Speed of work: 1 star Communication: 1 star Price: 4 star This shop is focused on getting a sale over doing what is best for the customer. The mechanic decived me to get a sale, and never truly fixed the problem I took it in for. In addition other parts got damaged during their repair that I now have to deal with. Poor boys repeatedly indicated a time my vechicle would be done and failed to contact me when the vechicle was not done by that time. If there is going to be a delay let me know and know why. I get that mechanics are people, if your sick or have something come up let me know that, for personal reasons you had to take a few days off and my repair will be late. No communication means I will assume the worst. It took 2 months for a transmisson replacement, I was initialy told it would take a week or 2. The price was a good bit less than I expected, but I can not give full points here because I ended up paying for a process that did not fix the problem. the transmisson only had 1 part noticably messing up and the new transmission has the an equaly old rubber valve causing the same problems. I towed my vechicle in the morning of Jul 27th because it would not go into gear. Poor Boys Auto was the first shop in town that promised to get a diagnosis done that day. Two days latter I called them and was told I'll do it tomorrow. When I got the diagnosis I was told that my (automatic) transmission had many bad parts and it would be easier and cheaper to replace the whole thing than to fix the individual issues. I was doubtful and asked what part caused my mountaineer to not go in gear, and if it had to be replaced. I was told that it was not just one component thing but a host of pieces each of which needed to be fixed. I approved the transmission replacement, and was told it would take about a week or two to get done, due to backlog. A week later I was told the transmission should arrive the next day and could be done by mon maybe tue. I called tue, to be told it had arrived damaged was going to be sent back the next day. On the 16th I called again and was told the exact same story. I started calling the day after they indicated they would be finished. Poor boys was very careful to never promise a day, but they would say, it is a two day job and I will try to start on it tonight, or I will start working on it first thing tomorrow, or it should be done by monday. On the 31st over 1 month from when I took my vechicle in I got the call it was finished. That very same day I noticed serious issues with the transmission and the engine. I had misfiring cylinders, a speedometer that was not moving half the time and rapidly moving up and down the rest of the time, the vechicle did not like to leave first gear, it took getting the vechicle up to 5000 rpms to get it to lurch into 2nd gear. this happened about 60% of the time I went from first to 2nd gear. Hard shifting (lurching) every time it switched in the lower gears (1-2, 2-3, 3-4) I took the vechicle back into the shop. I was told it would be a quick fix. On the 3rd I got my vechicle back for the second time, only the speedometer was fixed, also my vechicle refused to go into gear at the next day. The 3rd day it shifed into neutral (while still having auto selected) on a hill in traffic, this nearly caused an accident. I called poor boys back and took it back in. I got my vechicle back Sep 24, nearly 2 months after I took it in, with more issues that I started with. Insteed of being fixed I got temperary measures and an explination. My wiring was old and starting to cross, electrical tape was put on it. The coil probaly got damaged during testing which could explain the misfiring and hard shifting. There is a pressure releaf valve that is old. This was my original problem and I was now told that there are addatives I can put in to the transmission fluid to help with the rubber seal in the valve. I should have been told this in the first place, it was the only noticable issue with the original transmission. read more

Would not recommend. There was no communication on my car while it was getting it fixed and after getting my car fixed it turned out that they were only "giving it a temporary fix" per the receptionists response when I brought it back... it started acting up again the day I got it back from them. Then they quoted me an additional 2,000-3,000$ possibly more fix after already spending money for them to not fix it! And after calling around deciding if I wanted round 2 of them trying to fix it I found that 3 other shops around gave me estimates that were lower or the same price but the difference is, no one at Poor Boys is ASE certified(an engineering certification) and all the other shops had way more qualifications and had better pricing and communication. Eventually I got everything fixed from a different place for under 1,300$ and wayyyyyy better quality of work and great communication! To be fair to poor boys the people are nice but you can get better quality for a better price, and better customer service else where. read more

I like to only give good reviews but they kept our car for a month to fix a bent rim. They never called us with updates and only seemed to work on it when we were in the shop. We needed it for a trip and told them that a week before we needed to leave. Plenty of time for the quick fix. When we went in the day they claimed it would be finished, which was a few days later, we found it, again, unfinished. Very disappointed. read more

Honest, open, and great quality. I got my car fixed 9 months ago and still it is working great! They broke down the price for me, they worked quickly, and they explained the mechanic in a way that I could understand (I don't have a good understanding of cars). I'm not one to leave reviews but if I could give this place 0 stars I would without a doubt. We took our car here back at the end of June. It is now September 14th with still no car. Every day we are told that our car will be done the following day and then never hear from them. 1st they blamed Covid, then they blamed that they have "too many cars in the shop". They also took upon themselves to fix things and order parts without getting our consent first and then when we talk to them they expect us to pay for things that we didn't want fixed. When I expressed to JT my frustration about not having our car for almost 3 months, he laughed at me and made of joke of it. He also gave us the run around, and when recently talking with Blake, the owner, we found out thay JT has been lying and making things up regarding our car for the last 2 months.
