Oshiro did the work we actually did need at a fraction of the price we would have paid had we not gotten a second opinion. 2. Customer Service - we have an RV and were traveling with 5 dogs and no tow vehicle. They were extremely accommodating to both us and our dogs. Our shy dog (who's selective about people) loved the mechanic, who was sweet and gentle with all our dogs. 3. Honestly- as I mentioned the previous mechanic who looked at our vehicle was going to charge us way more for work we didn't need. It would have been easy for Oshiro Garage to do all the work on the estimate we bought in, but they were honest that we didn't need a lot of what was quoted by the other mechanic and explained why. They saved us a lot of time, stress, and money, preventing us from being out of our home for multiple days of (unnecessary) repairs.

I asked the guy in the office how much markup is for parts. He said 'it ranges from 10% to 200% markup'. What a fool. There were 3 things I could reasonably see them noticing for service. Headlight, radiator, maybe a dink on the windshield. They found over a dozen 'major' issues, most of which I don't even agree with. Don't waste your time. They charged me $80 to look at it only to slap me with that quote. I'm going to get a lease for an auto shop and compete with them as soon as possible. You couldn't pay me to work with them.

I sent the truck in with nothing but a dead battery and 10 grand worth of parts and got it back broken down. They told me there was metal in the transmission and they didn't know how to delete the DOD (weeks were spent discussing the build) which didn't matter either way given I gave them every part to rebuild and bullet proof the transmission had the truck sent straight to Chevy and the transmission had 0 metal in it and nobody has been able to figure out why my truck is broken down a week later, absolute unprofessional bums.
