This is about the cutest, neatest store I've been to. It's colorful, quirky, amazing. This shop features crafts and products you can't do without by local artists. And everything has a flair to it. Prices were high and low depending on the item. Unique decorating items, items for everyday use and fashion accessories were there. Pop-Cycle is listed in a lot of tourist literature that I peruse. I was in town for the weekend and was able to get some uniques Tucson memorabilia from stickers to clothing. It was cool to stop in and see stuff you can't find at most other stores. We walked so didn't pay much attention to parking, but you can take the trolley here and that was slick. read more

This is an amazing little boutique on 4th Avenue. They have tons of handmade items ranging from keychains, to hats, to upcycled wallets. Popcycle supports local artists which I really love. Because of that there is quite a variance in the styles of items. They have a series of hats, brooches, and other accoutrement featuring felt monsters, unicorns and skulls that are just perfection. I also picked up a wallet made from what appears to be an old boot. Everything I've gotten here is high quality. I enjoy looking at (but rarely buying) items at Pop-Cycle. Everything is pretty expensive but quality made, unique and local. They have everything from jewelry to wall hooks to artwork to kids stuff to so so much more. There is something for everyone here. It's fun to look around. I was thankful they let me little dog in. They said as long as she behaved with no chewing or peeing she was welcomed. A lot of 4th Ave shops are dog friendly if your pup behaves but I always ask anyway. There's something about this shop that really resonates with me. Maybe it's the snarky humor. Or it could be the quirky animal and desert themed items. Either way I fell in love with almost every single item in this store. A lot of the merchandise is decorative wall art, but they do also have jewelry, clothing, and other accessories. I do wish they had more contemporary clothes, like more tank tops or summery clothes with the cool felt patches on them. Service was so friendly and sweet. A great local store on 4th ave that has a large selection of art, pottery, clothing, etc., all locally-handmade! It's fun going in to see what new items they have in stock, or picking up a nice unique gift for friends. They have a large selection of locally made jewelry! Friendly, clean, and SO cool! Nearest place Tucson yet! Furniture, stuffed animlas heads on the wall, all kids of upcycled items, great ideas, and most of the things are made by three artists on site! I can't recommend dropping by here enough. Really quite possibly one of my favorite stores EVER. It was very crowded because of the Street Fair, but they were still happy and friendly, and didn't seem frustrated at all. Prices were reasonable, and I can't think of a better place to shop. The next shop local day you should come here first, heck, any day you should come here first. not sure about parking because of the fair, but it looked like it was easy access. read more

They have some interesting items that are made by upcycling materials. There were also many things that are new. Prices were steep on some of the up cycled items though. I saw some pencil cup holders that were super cool, but the price was way above what I wanted to spend for it. read more

Definitely friendly employees however the prices are unbelievably expensive. Now, the quality of the merchandise is solid & when you shop their its local and supporting the artist here; however, I just paid $13 for 4 stickers, relatively small in size, and nothing special other than having a javalina and a cactus ... (bout them for an avid sticker collector). Had I done more research, probably could have gotten them for about half the price on Etsy (still supporting artists). The crafts can really be made at home same quality with ModPodge, Lowes drawer knobs, and pieces of wood - but you're paying for the convenience. Again, not that this is bad, I just have the time to make the items they sell. I don't think I will be buying here again but always fun to stop in! read more

Hands down one of my favorite shops on 4th Ave! Its such a great little place full of locally handmade treasures. My favorite things there are the wooden cabinet prints! Its an old cabinet door refurbished a bit with a beautiful, one of a kind image printed on. The images are usually super retro and sometimes with an Arizona flair. Love them. They come in different sizes, with the larger ones selling for $48. I think the price is fair, and if you still want something but unsure if you want to spend that much, they have a sale section in the back! They also have jewelry, shirts, housewares, magnets (I have purchased like 10 of these babies, such great gifts), cards, and other clothing items. Its difficult to describe how creative it is, so do yourself a favor and check it out next time youre hanging around 4th! read more

Super friendly staff, and a great location for me to acquire those Arizona curios I want to hang on the wall or send home to people who have to deal with real winter. If your taste falls a little more to the eclectic, the quirky, the conversation piece, well, you've found a stop for you. Jewelry, wearable accessories, housewares, art, barware (Stone IPA glasses!) and paper goods all crowd the shelves and racks here. (One of the racks is shaped like a rocketship.) In thinking about what I want to stock for Christmas or birthdays, especially for those far away, these are artful and fun celebrations of the Southwest. Stuffed Jackalope mounted head? The things I have actually bough here include a plaque with a vintage cowgirl pictured, a metal drummer figurine, and a vintage shirt with skull patches sewn on. If you need a gift for someone that has everything, just walk in and you will find ten things that person needs. And then ten more that you need...You get the idea. The owners are super nice! They sometimes have a sweet dog in the store. Once, they gift wrapped something for my brother in an old map - How cool is that? Be aware this place gets crowded and it's not huge to begin with. There's so much awesomeness packed into this shop that's it's challenging to even review this place! Key thing to know and appreciate about Pop-Cycle is that this place is exclusively devoted to producing art and products from recycled materials, re-used, products and refurbished goods. So, not only do the owners create and sell their own goods, but they also bring in local artists in who also use re-purposed materials as their medium! This business takes recycle, reuse, reduce to a whole other level! Be prepared to spend a substantial amount of time perusing through the store, especially if you don't have a specific shopping goal in mind. You'll everything from clothing, to homemade cards made from recycled paper, to vintage door hangers, ornaments, decorative wall pieces and more! I couldn't think of a cooler spot to buy some awesome Arizona memorabilia for visiting friends/family....because it's not cheesy! The art here has a way of authentically depicting the Southwest. You really just need to make visit to unique shop on 4th avenue and take in all it's awesomeness in person. It's almost impossible to describe every detail in a review. This place is AMAZING. Sadly, I only discovered it about 4 hours before I departed Tucson, to return home to Portland/Vancouver. As there are no "chance encounters" in life, I believe, it was fate that I stumbled (not literally) into this establishment. The store was filled with inspired, creative, artistic, original, eco/recycled goodies that sent me into a tailspin. From the Frida Kahlo pieces, to the Monster Booty Threads piecs to the License Plate artwork, I was simply blown away. To top it off, one of the staffers (you know who you are) was attentive, thoughtful, friendly, and incredibly helpful. I bought 2 crazy fun shirts and have since ordered more stuff by calling the store. A lot is handmade at their workshop in the back of the shop. The staff was sooo friendly and helpful, and helped me carry all my bounty to my car. we were down on 4th ave for the biannual street fair and one of artists that have their stuff on display in pop-cycle had a booth. i really liked their stuff, so we decided to walk into pop-cycle and check out the entire store. they really have an assortment of very unique items. among my favorites, was a lamp that was made out of a map and the moster hats! in hawaii, we wear trucker hats to the beach and they had such cute ones, i had to buy one. i will definitely come back when i'm in tucson again. read more

On a recent visit to Tucson, my cousin Laura and I walked around 4th Ave in search of gifts. We ducked into this little shop and were floored by the artful upcycled art and crafts. The place even boasts a wood panel picture of Johnny Cash making an R-rated hand gesture - nice. I liked the fuel can guitars and counter culture collectibles.
