Unreal! We have patronized this business since moving to Charlotte and despite the lack of consistency of their operational practices and hit or miss customer service, because this is a business owned by African Americans, we wanted to provide them with our consistent support, specifically given that the pandemic has forced many small businesses to shut their doors. Each week, my husband or I would patronize this business ($20-$35 per week) but today we refuse to support a business owner that does not possess the ability to 1. Be humble 2. Be consistent 3. Provide respectable and high quality customer service 4. Be willing to listen to inconsistent experiences in efforts to course correct and ensure high quality customer service for its patrons. Several occasions we have been given different information regarding how you refill the tins. Nevertheless, the discount of such is the more trivial part. The most disturbing is the manner in which the business owner, Mr. Daniel Frazier, husband of Mrs. Kysha Frazier is was exceptionally honorary, unwilling to listen to varying customer experiences, unprofessional, inflexible, and dismissive of a consistent patron that has contributed to the health of his business! Really absorb. The core of the matter is that today (8/20) Mr. Frazier lacked the communication skills and professionalism to identify a mere miscommunication and despite that my husband was willing to pay full price $30++ dollars for popcorn when it can easily be purchased on another day or at another establishment for cheaper, this business owner decided it was more important to "silence" a patron of who has been told various different protocols from store personnel than to gain an understanding of how to create more consistent business practices that may actually increase your profit. It is actually quite shameful that my husband had this experience as we have gone out of our way to patronize this Black owned business. To not be respected and appreciated as a consumer means you DO NOT deserve our hard earned dollars ($120 per month- at least- not to mention potential profits). We will never patronize this business ever again. And to think, we were planning on engaging them in a large initiative that would have yielded a tremendous return-could have even kept your doors open! In the immortal words of Julia Roberts in the movie, "Pretty Woman"... Big Mistake! HUGE!" Advice for Mr. Frazier, sir, invest in a Customer Experience course of some kind and know that your business does not have a strong enough competitive advantage nor market demand for patrons to deal with your poor disposition. read more

Yum. I was in the area running errands and I decided to stop by this place. They have a good selection of flavors for anyone. Spicy, sweet, savory. I decided to get cheddar but wanted something slightly different. I saw they had buffalo so I asked to try a sample. It tasted good so I decided to get a small bag of that as well. I was happy with my selection and I'm interested in coming back again and to try something else! read more

Great popcorn flavors like birthday cake for unique gifts! I was searching for a unique present for my teenage niece and nephew who are foodies and are into good food. The popcorn is available for multiple flavors from normal, salty, sweet, or special flavors of the day--I got cookies and cream and zebra flavors. Zebra is dark and white chocolates combined and is delicious! You can have free samples to taste and they also have decorative tins if you want that type of gift. Popcorn Heaven is my FAVORITE popcorn store in the Queen City. When I first discovered this place, I shared with Daniel and Kaisha the need for great popcorn for events I plan for my church. They were excited and ready for every order I sent their way. Even during the summer when we host Love Week they were always ready and available. We would connect two months prior to provide orders, dates and times, just two weeks before the big week we would review the pricing. The also proud little sample bag which I have purchased a lot for church and work events. They are perfect as party favors, kids parties and great snacks! I highly recommended purchasing theses as well, and they offer all their amazing flavors in the mini bags as well. I'm so grateful that I connected with them when the first moved to Charlotte and I have watched them grow..literally! I recently heard they are working towards opening additional location! My husband was doing me a favor, by running in to pick up some popcorn as a gift. He Was told to leave the store due to not having a mask on. He did not have one, explained that he had just been to the car wash, and his car was cleaned out. He asked if he could have one from them. They said they did not have one, and he would need to leave. He went next-door to the dentist and asked if they had an extra mask. They did. He then came back. Trying to place an order, was told repeatedly they were out of a certain flavors. When he finally decided on two flavors, while being rung up, he was informed that one of his flavors was more expensive. The only reason he put up with all this, was because I asked him to stop. I don't live in the immediate area but have frequented this establishment several times over the years when dropping off Goodwill donations in the same parking lot. About a month ago, however, I went by on purpose and had such a bad experience that I most likely will not return. Since it would've unfair to give a one star rating based on a bad experience, I have rated three stars. Some family members were setting off the next day on a cross country road trip, and I wanted to get them a couple of bags of popcorn for the car. I stopped by mid afternoon on a Saturday and found the place was empty except for the two teens behind the counter. I said up front I wanted to buy two large bags of popcorn. Howeve, I wanted to try a kernel of the caramel corn before finalizing my selection. The young woman had been waiting on me but now the young absorbed with his phone gets off his stool in the corner. They're not giving out free samples due to COVID, says he. I told him I literally wanted one kernel of popcorn, to be dropped from their scoop into my hand in a contactless transaction. I offered to pay any small cost that seemed reasonable, but did not want to buy a large bag of popcorn that the recipient might not like (he hates the Boy Scout caramel corn). I pointed out again that my plan was to buy two large bags and that I had already picked out my other flavor. He was extremely rude and argumentative and refused my request, also refusing my request to phone the owner/manager to see if it was okay. (Again, the place was empty - it made no sense to lose the sale.). I left without buying anything, because it is wrong to reward bad behavior. I would suggest keeping adults in the store. read more

Some cravings you just can't ignore! Today was our first time visiting Popcorn Heaven in Ballantyne. The smells alone are worth the trip! We were immediately greeted by the sales clerk who was helping another customer. (Call me old fashioned, but I like to be acknowledged. Her smile made us feel very welcomed!) Then Daniel the owner welcomed us and explained the menu, purchase options & specials. This place has folks pouring in & they all knew what they wanted. While my husband and I were trying to make a decision on flavors, Daniel graciously offered samples. It was...heavenly! Deee-lish! Fresh! Popcorn Heaven also ships! Prices were great when compared to online companies. I love shopping local & Popcorn Heaven will definitely be keeping my business! I recently cohosted a baby shower for my friend and we did "ready to pop" popcorn party favors. The service at Popcorn Heaven was exceptional and everyone loved the popcorn at the shower. I choose the white cheddar and Zebra (Chocolate Carmel) and they tasted Fresh and Heavenly. I also purchased a small bag of cookies and cream for my husband and he ate all in 2 days. I guess he really liked it. I definitely will go back to try more. read more

I'm not sure whet am the flavors are, but I didn't see anything ready worth my money. Not greeted when I walked in, strike one. Ok there was 1 guy working. Oh wait here comes a 2nd guy. Still no greeting strike 2. What I did see for flavors I had no idea what the 5 were. 5. Wait., i thought they had a ton of flavors? Guess not because I did not see anything. Went here with a friend, walked in with my service animal. Young man working shouts "yeah we don't allow dogs in here." I said even if he is a service animal? He replies "you'll have to talk to the owner about that" as he turns away from me. I decided to wait outside for my friend as I didn't feel welcome. Upon finishing up she said he was beyond rude to her the entire time as well. We won't be returning and won't be recommending. read more

Great popcorn. Bought 4 flavors and all were fresh and tasty. The caramel popcorn is so flavorful and rich, like I have never had before. The popcorn is amazing! Very fresh & big fluffy mushroom style kernels. I'm a huge fan of the savory flavors like Salt & Vinegar, Dill Pickle, Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper.l, and Buffalo. Every last single popcorn is full of flavor! I wasn't a huge fan of the caramel or other sweet flavors, but I hear they are good if you like sweet popcorn. Love the popcorn here! They have any flavor you can think of, and it's always fresh. It's hard to justify buying microwaveable popcorn after eating gourmet: I don't think I will ever do that again!
