First time here and it's so cute. It is pretty spacious and pretty inside. I love that they have a lot of seatings both inside and out. I wish they would have used some of those seat space to build a bigger bathroom it's a bust having to wait for a one stall. But the bathroom is cute. The kid pictures are a cute though. Big menu, lots of options to choose from. Ordered the blubbery matcha and it was good. Not the greatest but it was decent. The chicken sandwich was good, the lettuce and cucumber taste fresh. Took a while for someone to clean the table so we ended up cleaning the last people mess ourself. Wish the table were a little bigger though too small if you order a lot of stuff. Only a few tables in there that are bigger than a two seater.

My first experience at Maman was so good, the baked goods looked incredible and fresh and the staff was super friendly and recommended some items. I ended up getting the Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie which was heated up and OMG, that chocolate just melted in your mouth! Delicious!! I also got the almond banana chocolate bread, and yammi! Moist, perfect for a little breakfast snack! The hype makes so much sense now. Considering this place originated from NYC, I have to say the prices are in line with the rest of the bakeries in town. The decoration is modern and nice, loved the ambience and will be back on my next walk through the neighborhood.

I love maman!!!! I had it in NY and was so excited when I heard they were coming here. The breakfast sandwich is amazing, and the chocolate chip cookie is maybe the best I've ever had. So excited to try more of the menu!!

SO thrilled to have Maman in the neighborhood! I came in a few times during their soft opening and was blown away by the service, wide menu selection and quality/flavor of every item I tried - and that was before the word got out on social media and the big crowds began to form! We came back this morning on a Saturday and waited in a long line, but it moved pretty quickly and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. The space and vibe are also absolutely incredible - the branding is on point, and you truly feel like you're stepping into a café in France when you walk inside. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and free parking, too - not easy to find in the Plaza Midwood area! Food and drink-wise, I've so far tried the Quiche Sarah (perfectly cooked and so flavorful), several of the homemade pastries (my favorites were the milk chocolate crème brûlée bun and the lavender blueberry swirl) and a few of the specialty iced lattes (the fleur de sel caramel one was especially tasty)! I am already looking forward to coming at lunchtime and getting one of the bowls, salads and sandwiches on the menu. Such a great addition to our vibrant neighborhood!

I've seen so much hype around this cafe and it lives up to it! My friend and I came here to work. If you're looking to do the same there aren't many outlets and it's loud inside. There are a lot of tables inside and outside. Staff are friendly. The food is really good. I got the smoked salmon sandwich, the pear turnover, and honey lavender latte.

I really liked Maman! The space has lots of seating, indoor and outdoor. Covered patio is such a plus. So many different pastries to choose from, the Nutella beignet is so good, and the chocolate chip cookie really lives up to the hype. For drinks, we got the lavender matcha and the salted almond croissant matcha, both were so good. We also got the cheddar scallion scone which was so savory! Can't wait to come back. The only con I would say is parking, don't like that they don't validate parking and parking at the garage is not cheap.

I came to this cute spot on opening day and I can honestly say they kept things moving. It is a nice place for coffee, brunch, a sweet treat or just to people watch. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I got the citrus Bundt cake, classic chocolate chip cookie and crimson berry ice tea to go it was All good. my slice of cake was big enough to split in half. I suggest parking in the garage not expensive as uptown. I will be back to try the pancakes.

Yuminess: 6/10 Allergy Safety: 6/10 Price: 5/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 ‍Service: 9/10 Quick overview: Cute atmosphere, but too busy to work in. Food was decent but not contact allergy-friendly, and a bit pricey. Great service overall with only minor complaints. I'd return, but it's not my first choice. Detailed look: Food was decent overall, but there was room for improvement. The pistachio croissant tasted amazing, but had an absurd amount of filling. It took away from the taste and made it incredibly messy. The seasonal almond croissant latte was great and robust in flavor, however. Sadly, the allergy safety was disappointing. Since they do a great job at labeling what items are free from (dairy-free, gluten-free, etc.), I expected cross-contamination to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, they have dairy-free items directly touching buttered desserts and don't appear to change gloves when grabbing items. Understandably, cross-contamination may happen during baking, but there's a lack of safety past that point. If you have contact allergies, I'd avoid ordering food here. Pricing was a bit high, but it was to be expected for a trendy place. Maman has a cute atmosphere and plenty of seating. Outdoor dining is covered, which was great since it was raining when we visited. However, it's not a great work-from-home environment as it's loud and packed, but that may change in a few months as the "newness" dies down. Service was great overall, and decently quick considering the line was 40 minutes long. However, I dined in, and they didn't give me a plate for my pastry, which made my croissant even messier. I'd return, but only if going with a friend.

Signature fleur de sel caramel latte

Wow! What an amazing place! Cafe, kitchen, bakery, and so friendly! I enjoyed a Katie's chicken sandwich (savory, buttery sauce, smooth baguette..), signature fleur de sel caramel latte (can really taste the espresso and caramel), and a banana chocolate walnut bread (love the huge chocolate chips) This place is beautiful, stunning French decor, and an amazing huge menu with so much to choose from. Brand new location (came around 9:40 am): waited in line for around 30 minutes, ordered, and drinks and food came in between 10-20 minutes.

ALWAYS keep your receipts.. utensils come in DEBRIS. cups were spilled and messy. My items were an olive oil tea cake, a blueberry lavender brioche wave, and two coffees. WRONG items I didn't ask for or pay for (plus the one I bought was more pricey) so the staff had to "review" my order again and gave me the items I actually bought, which still took another 30 minutes. I felt awful. Cold and dry and flaky pastries.. The coffees... do not expect to pair them together with your pastries as you'll get in about an hour later and unless you ask the staff about the status. Extremely milky and I felt badly nauseous. Chocolate chip cookies were way too sweet l'd rather have crumbl. I do like to support new local spots, but this was a really disappointing first visit. Happy to discuss this further.

As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie who's been steadily eating my way through Charlotte, I had…read morebookmarked Lee's Sandwiches and was excited to finally give it a try--and overall, it did not disappoint. The concept is refreshingly simple: a straightforward menu of banh mi sandwiches, summer rolls, chips, and prepared foods ready to go. They also offer beer on tap, traditional Vietnamese iced coffee and tea, and fresh fruit smoothies. No frills--just solid, approachable Vietnamese fare. I ordered the #8 Chinese barbecue (char siu) banh mi and requested light pâté and extra vegetables. The sandwich was made to order and came out quickly. One of the owners kindly let me know that pâté typically isn't included on that particular sandwich and didn't charge me for it, which I appreciated. The sandwich itself was good, reasonably priced (around $8-9), and filling. I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which delivered exactly the caffeine kick I was looking for. It wasn't overly sweet, had beautifully crushed ice, and came with a proper lid--not the plastic film seal you sometimes see at boba shops. Combined, the sandwich and coffee came to about $15, which felt like a great value. The interior is charming and thoughtfully designed. There's a small tuk-tuk display with retail items, traditional Vietnamese decor like bamboo hats on the walls, and even a seating area with low stools that gives a nod to the street-side dining style you'd find in Vietnam. I also loved the creative touch of repurposed Café Du Monde coffee cans holding napkins and chopsticks--simple, clever, and memorable. One small note for authenticity seekers: as someone who grew up with traditional Vietnamese cuisine, I've been searching for the classic old-school imperial rolls made with rice paper that fries up bubbly, crispy, and slightly chewy. The owner confirmed what I've been noticing--that many restaurants in the Charlotte area adapt recipes to American tastes, so that particular style is harder to find here. It wasn't a dealbreaker, just an interesting cultural observation. For my personal taste, the char siu wasn't quite as rich or fatty as the Chinese barbecue versions I'm used to, and the pâté had a slightly bitter note. Next time, I'll likely try the lemongrass pork banh mi and skip the pâté altogether. Insider tip: This is a great spot for a quick, affordable lunch with authentic flavors and fast service. The iced coffee alone is worth the visit. Overall, a cute, well-run neighborhood shop with solid value, friendly service, and a menu that does a few things well. I'll definitely be back to continue exploring the offerings.

I used to come here all the time when I lived in Charlotte and Asian Corner was around still. Its…read morethe to go to place for Banh Mi. Now theres way more banh mi shops out there. Le's Sandwiches will always be my favorite banh mi shop in Charlotte. I had grew up eating there. They moved to another location which is the same parking lot area outside the lot by the old store. They had built and moved to a brand new shop. Iam so happy for them and wish the best for them. Their always quick and consistent with their food. Their banh mis are so delicous. It is usually quiet and not much seating inside to eat in.
