This Popeyes needs to get it together, this is location has some of the worst service out of a drive through that I have ever experienced, it allways takes more than 15 minutes to get our food, the food is allways cold and most of the time they don't give you any sauce no matter if you ask for it or not, they tell you to pull up past the window every time like they don't want you to see inside for whatever reason. It's like they are doing something in there that they are not supposed to and they don't want you to see. Overall this location needs to step it up or be shut down either or would be perfect. Placed an online order that they said could be gotten through the drive-through sat in the drive-through for about 35 minutes made it to the speaker and told us we had to go inside to get our online order and then when we got inside, they told us it wasn't ready yet so we had to wait Almost an hour for our food while a bunch of employees sat outside talking definitely won't be coming here again. They ALWAYS mess your order up and the restaurant is DISGUSTING!! First, I went here five times and four of those times they messed my order up. That's an amazing 80% of the time. They are experts at shoving your food out the window, slamming it, and ignoring you til you drive away, and also giving you something that LOOKS like your order (for example, mild instead of spicy chicken strips). Basically, when you go to the drive through, you get what they give you. But, one of those 4 times they gave me something extra and Popeyes tends to do that so whatever. However, I ordered a chicken sandwich with no pickles and they put extra pickles on it. I really don't like pickles and the sandwich is about $5 so I called to complain. Also like I said, I been to this popeyes five times and thet was the fourth time they messed my order up. So, I called and said "yeah, I ordered a sandwich, no pickles, and I got extra pickles" well, instead of like a normal place saying "oh sorry sir", the manager John just said "We can't make a chicken sandwich without pickles' and hung up on me. WOW. They sure can take an order for a sandwich with no pickles though!! Totally ridiculous you can't leave pickles off a sandwich, and a really rude response to a customer. Also, this restaurant is FILTHY. Just take a look at the big old concrete mountain by the drive through window. Looks like it's smashed hundreds of cars. The parking lot is always dirty and the place is just greasy. I'll have to find a Popeyes where they can get my order right more than once every five times. Oh: They also give you really old, dry chicken, which is amazing when there's always so many people pulled off waiting on something. Ordered online this evening (Sunday 08/22/21 06:30pm) because the drive-thru is always very busy. Figured and "hoped" this would save time. Placed order online and the app said my order would be ready by 07:28pm. (See attached) I arrived at 07:30pm. No directions inside that direct you to online pick-ups. Had to get in line with everyone else. After 10 minutes I get to counter. Nice young lady. Told her I ordered online. My receipt was still hanging from the printer. It hadn't even been taken from the online order printer. Another customer waiting off to the side was shaking his head in disgust because he had also ordered online and had been apparently waiting for some time. 10 minutes go by and people are walking in and ordering and getting their orders and leaving happy. Online people still waiting. I asked to speak to the manager. Spoke to Katy. Messed up attitude immediately detected. No apology. Stated, "We don't actually start preparing online orders until you arrive." WHAT!!! What's the point of ordering online then? I told her that makes no sense. Katy said that was their (Popeyes???) rule. No apology. Just attitude. When I mentioned I was going to call and complain she told me to go right ahead with the attitude that she didn't care if I did. Hoped I did. Why couldn't she just had said, "Oh I'm so sorry Mr. Steve! Sorry you had to wait. Let me get that order rolling for you right now!" NOT KATY. Nothing! No customer service at all! Well first time in our Covington Popeyes, not impressed. They close at 15 min to 10, NOT 10. We walked in at 15 min. to 10 and it is obvious we were not welcome. The assistant manager was shaking her head when she saw us coming in, that was nice. She then locked the doors, not sure but isn't that a fire code violation? They complained because they had shut some equipment down for a food item we had ordered and had to restart it. The register man was rude to say the least, couldn't even make eye contact or break a smile. The manager was nice in the end but for me that is just too late. I worked fast food before and you make sure EVERYTHING is still able to be cooked ( unless you ran out ) up to the time of closing! NOT 15 min before. My meal was ordered at 9 49, not 10, no excuse. And the food, well it didn't look like the commercials at all. They did give us extra due to the problems, but I gave most of it to my dogs I am sorry to say. I love good fried food and living in New Orleans I have high expectations but this wasn't even so so food. I was told to pull ahead and wait for my order, then was told to move again, then the manager came out screaming to move then again....this isn't the first time I have had a bad experience but this situation forced me to write this review.... Worst service ever! Ignorant and shameful staff! Small order took 25 minutes while everyone stood around and blamed others.

Due to covid19 drive thru only service, we were unable to return our order. The chicken tasted nothing like pre-covid popeye's spicy fried chicken tasted in the past. The batter was overcooked, the chicken dry and unappealing, low quality chicken. SIDE ORDERS ARE SMALLER THAN EVER. WHAT A SURPRISE! The chicken in the sandwiches was too spicy hot to eat. This particular location is the absolute worst! 9 times out of ten, they do not have chicken ready, which blows my mind (considering they are a chicken restaurant). They are famous for letting you order and pay and then telling you that you need to pull to the side because your order is not ready. I have had to wait over 20 minutes when they have told me it will be a 2-3 minute wait. Went there last night & the MANAGER was rude, name was BARBARA, cursing the F-word at her employees! I was embarrassed for the employees because they were getting reamed for doing nothing wrong. The other employees were fine, it was the manager who was unprofessional. She seriously needs to be fired for her behavior. Be careful when you order that you receive exactly what you order. Three times already, I ordered specific items off the menu. Either the order was incomplete or I received a totally different order and had to go back to get the correct order. Check your order before leaving window. Also, during peak dinner hours, chances are you will be pulling on the side to wait for your order because they can't keep up with the constant stream of traffic. I've eaten at many of Popeyes and absolutely love the chain. This particular one however, is horrible! Tonight was the third time I've been there and they have messed my order up every time! Tonight I ordered the Wicked Chicken combo with an extra biscuit. I took my box home, not thinking to check it. When I got home, I had no extra biscuit, my drink was wrong, and they didn't give me the ranch and tobasco that normally comes with the combo.
