I went to this location at 11:00 PM on my way to work. The store does not close until midnight. They had no chicken wraps nor that they have sweet tea. I asked the cashier is it not a four menu due to the fact they one whole hour before closing she stated to me very really that they have chicken I expressed to her that's not what I wanted and she was very rude to me. Ok - lemme explain my five star rating. This location is my local Popeye's and while I'm not a huge Popeye's chicken fan when I want it I go get it here. Since I've lived in the area this has historically been a HORRIBLE location. I agree with another reviewer that even before the pandemic the food was hit or miss, they might be open when the sign says they are, they might run out of chicken (WT?), the customer service was garbage and driving thru to pick up an order took all day (you may as well go home and fry your own chicken). HOWEVER, in the last few months THIS LOCATION has been GREAT. 1. Customer service has been outstanding visit after visit. 2. You can understand what they're saying at the drive thru window and they sound like they want to serve you when you place your order. 3. Service is quick and they haven't run out of food. 4. The chicken is light and flaky. The crust is crusting. It's piping hot and seasoned the way corporate has instructed not overly salty like some unskilled cooks at other locations do. Now, please be warned this location will create their own hours sometimes, talking about they are short staffed. You might get a rude person here every blue moon. And I just feel like giving props to managers, owners and staff at this location because they do it right. I ordered Uber eats about an hour and a half before the location closed. 15 minutes after I ordered I get a notification saying my meal was canceled. Almost $30 worth of food with a free six piece promotion on it. I called up to the restaurant several times and no answer. This was on Sunday, I go up there today ,Tuesday) to speak to the manager and she is super sweet with blue hair, but unable to be of any assistance. She mentions that it's the fault of Uber, and not Popeyes since they don't have the ability to cancel orders on their side, and I guarantee her that Uber says the exact opposite. I asked to speak to her manager who was a darker skin lady sitting on a stool in the back of the store. She not only refused to give me her name, but she refused to get up from the stool and come speak to me directly. The two other employees I interacted with at the location were kind, but my dilemma still was not solved. I was charged for food I never received, and although it was refunded on Uber eats side, Popeyes took no responsibility for it. I wasn't expecting anything outside of what they promised but they refused to even give me the free six wings with the purchase of another six wings. I'm not sure what this store has to do or how bad it has to treat customers before it gets shut down, but this should've taken place years ago. This place definitely needs new management ASAP If their intent is to keep the doors open. I called the corporate number online three times and no answers. Because of the incident in my previous review - I'd pretty much stopped going to this location. Even though the Powder Springs Rd location is slooooow and even though it's very hard to maneuver in and out of their parking lot - I typically visit that one or the one at Thornton Rd. Both locations are more than twice the distance from my home - but that's just how bad the service is at the EW Connector location. Today - I didn't have time to drive to the other locations, and its been a while - so I decided to give them a try. When placing my order, at drive thru, associate, just shouted, "Popeyes!" I said, "I'd like to order the 8 piece nuggets. Just the nuggets, no combo." She replied with, "Do you want the combo?" I said "No, just nuggets." Then she asked me multiple times which sauce I wanted. When I got to the window, she took my method of payment while talking to other employees. She was turned to the side - with her head turned completely away from me. And I mean - literally. When she handed my card back - she was turned completely around - still talking to her fellow employees with her back to me. She almost dropped my card and receipt on the ground. And I had to dart around to get it because she wasn't holding her hand still. By the way, no gloves and she kept pulling up her pants. The seat of her pants were dirty (with flour type substance). When she handed me the food - once again - she had her back to me, turned around talking to coworkers - she stuck the food out - but she was actually presenting it to my rear passenger window. I had to awkwardly grab the food from her and could barely grasp the bag. So get this - once I did this - she finally turns around and stares at me - and frowns and demands, "WHY'D YOU SNATCH IT?" Because I'm not a crazy person who goes around assaulting drive-thru employees - I responded nicely - and told her I couldn't reach the bag and didn't want to interrupt her conversation. She actually said, "Oh, Ok." And she said as though she was gonna give me the business if I didn't have a good answer. Lol. I didn't get her name but she had the INTENSE brown contact lenses and very long braids. I understand that working with the public is difficult. And I understand that it's hot in the kitchen - but good grief - this Popeye's REALLY needs to stop hiring so many unprofessional people. NO chicken is worth this amount of buffoonery. And to make matters even worse - the chicken was not good. The nuggets were tough, barely warm and tiny. Two of the eight nuggets were literally just balls of batter / breading. This place and it's service is consistently and continually declining. I have really tried to stick with them abs support this neighborhood business. But, they consistently disappoint. Service and food have been hit or miss but now it's just miss on everything. I just came from getting food from there and the attitude.... You would think thy are doing me a favor....
