I recently entered this particlar Popeyes and the crew working the counter was totally unprofessional and the micro aggression from the manager (Kimbra and her employee Bryan) was totally obvious. I requested my order from a coupon and asked for special pieces and was told by Bryan that I have to take the pieces that he was going to give me and since I have never been told this I asked him again. Since I was spending my money I wanted to know why. He stated that was the owners rules. I then said as long as I get a breast it would be ok, but he was determined that I had to accept what he was going to give and continued to argue with me so I asked for a manager (Kimbra) and then she started to argue with me as well. The manager could have simply stated that I would get a mixture of chicken and that would have been good enough but the whole crew acted like they didn't want to serve me at all. Bryan was so mad he acted as if he wanted a confrontation all 102 pounds of him. Let me simply say if you are African American and you visit this popeye's and these two employees are there expect the micro aggression and unprofessional behavior!!! Corporate really needs to look at this location. The lobby is closed because they don't have staff. Even after placing the order on the app they forgot items. There are no deals like other Popeyes locations and For the price paid I could have at least gotten all of my items. The staff who we encountered was nice, but you could tell he was stressed but handling it in stride. High prices and low quality (worse than expected). Service was terrible and had multiple other people coming in saying their order was incorrect. When i got my food after waiting 20 minutes the sandwhiches were missing everything and gave me spicy instead of the regular. The atmosphere felt very unwelcoming and we were told they were training people as that was why they weren't doing the best. We will not be returning and very dissapointed compared to past visits. I just spent 45 minutes waiting for my to go order. Thought I would go inside because last time the drive thru took that long. Thought it might be quicker but obviously not. When they finally got my order together, they were short on biscuits. Now while I waited I saw people come and go, orders going out. They did comp me an apple pie for the missing biscuit. Okay, but then I got home and guess what, the meal that was supposed to have Mac and cheese had fries! Actually nothing about this was okay. This restaurant was excellent when they first built in Cabot. Went there once a week for shrimp po boys, then they took them off the menu. By the looks of the reviews, looks like it went downhill and apparently the owner, staff nor corporate couldn't care less except for we will look into it. Waited 25 minutes with only 2 cars in front of us to get to the window for a mobile order we placed 20 minutes before arriving. Once we got there they told us there would be a 6 minute wait for our chicken, which we waited another 15 minutes for. Very consistently a horrible experience eating here. read more

I waited almost an hour for my food which was a 12pc family meal with 2 lg sides and 6 biscuits I added 4 more and another lg side all for a whopping 67$ for the food just to get home over 20 mins away to only have some of my food and not a biscuit one in the bad even after I paid 1$ each for 4 extras they have poor service and apparently they can't read a ticket either won't be going back! 0 outta 10 do NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Ordered a 12 piece family meal. Wife and I ate a total of 3 pieces. We both spent the night with diarrhea and vomiting. Following day brought the 9 pieces back to Popeyes, and explained the problem, and ask for a refund. Rita, who supposedly the manager, very matter of fact said we don't refund because we don't know if you really got sick. Had an I couldn't care less attitude. She didn't even off an apology. I left the tainted food on the counter. I filled out a form on the Popeyes website, and received an email back saying "We are sorry to hear that tood caused severe diarrhea in two people." It's also said"it has been forwarded to the restaurant owner and management team for a proper investigation. and they will contact you." We'll guess what? No response from the owner or management after 3 business days. It looks like the customer doesn't matter to them. I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company. read more

Then the person come over to tell us they forgot to start our order 15 minutes later he came back and said they gave our order away to someone else as the cooks were laughing about it In our view we asked for a refund. Been three times in the past few months. They messed up the order and forgot to add an item and they are usually slow but its popeyes chicken and my son and i love it! Its close to where we live so we are willing to wait a bit through the drive through. The manager has always made things right if the order isn't. Service is ALWAYS SLOW. You can wait 30 minutes or more in the drive thru. They are out of BBQ sauce quite frequently. If you ask for extra biscuits you better make sure they are in the box, even if they say they are. They do not mark which box is spicy. read more

Placed order online. The web page after checkout has a button to click when you are five minutes away, and I did that. When I arrived, the entry doors were locked, so pickup had to be from the drive through line. there were about 20 cars in the drive thru line, and after 10 minutes of the line not moving, I called the phone number on the web. NO ANSWER. I filled out the contact us page on the website, explaining the problem, and telling them NOT to charge my credit card. Well they did charge my card, and there is no way to speak to anyone about it. I will be disputing the charge. Update... Spoke to manager next day, and he offered to credit or make the order again. The worker's took an extremely long time to get our order to us in the drive thru. On top of that we didn't even get what we ordered. I called to alert the manager to hopefully prevent further inconsistencies, but they would not answer the phone. On a positive note the location is only a mile out of the way home from work. Muffling from order taker (later saw wearing mask) and could not understand him. He finally talked more loudly after me wanting him to repeat. He sounded frustrated. It's Covid, so I totally GET there will be issues. But when you place an order ONLINE to pick it up, do what the instructions tell you... go through the drive thru and tell them you have an online order... only to have TABITHA have an attitude because she doesn't even know they have online ordering,, Another nice lady comes to the window and says the order is not ready, and then I get to sit and wait 27 minutes before my order came. While I'm watching at least two dozen people come through the drive-through they probably ordered the same thing that I did, get their order and go on about their happy way. Not sure who is in charge of receiving and processing the online orders, but that certainly could use a massive improvement. Not sure who Tabatha's Manager is, but she could certainly use a massive attitude adjustment and maybe a little training that they actually do have online ordering. I get it, it's fast food, people working for the minimum, I never try to stir up no problems, but when you follow the process, a girl smarts off to you, and then you wait 27 minutes, just not cool. **Update - got our family meal home about 6:30pm. I used to eat here all the time but when I say the service has gone to absolute crap it has. We got our order and not only was this girl a b*tch our food was not spicy when we said it 5 times we didn't get any sauces so we had to go back. They didn't have ice but that was okay what wasn't is when I took a drink it was flat plus no straws. When we went back around to ask for more sauce she rolled her eyes and shut the window on us. Service was friendly and the food was warm, not hot. My chicken breast was huge and has a lot of meat on it. Nice spice to the chicken.

The food is excellent and popeyes is one of my favorite places for spicy chicken. But service varies from location to location and unfortunately the Cabot location is terrible. Always under staffed and two or three bosses just standing around watching one individual work. So be prepared to wait. Don't recommend if your in a hurry, have large order or with a crowd, staff quickly overwhelmed. read more
