I know this place was tagged with a lot of negative reviews but I had to give my favorite chicken joint a chance so I finally went to our new Centerton Popeyes location. Admittedly I was hesitant. I wanted to try it before going all the way for a family pack. One thing we as customers should realize that when a new business opens up it requires patience and understanding even when backed by a well known establishment. It is still a new business, new hires, new managers, new equipment. I saw the lines heard about the traffic and sure why not? I'm sure we all were excited to hear Popeyes was coming to town! I know I was in fact I was even hoping for one and even looked into franchising... but they are here now! No more planning that trip into Rogers for me. New things take time to develop and live up to their names. So I waited. And I loved it! I asked for 4 piece all dark and got exactly what I wanted! Quality is just as good as the one in Rogers and service was quick. Of course I chose a time before the lunch crowd but it was starting to get bustling. They were great, still a little nervous (I was asked several times (3) if I wanted honey for my biscuit but I patiently answered yes please all 3 times.) If you had a bad experience here when they first opened please give them another chance. The neighboring establishment also had some difficulties at the start but are better at it now that a year or two has passed, Popeyes will also meet those standards also as they did a GREAT JOB today! It sure beats the drive for me.... try it again. Please. AND the sandwiches may be returning soon but I believe the sandwiches all took a stop across the chain. Like a limited time offer. Worst franchise location for many many reasons! #1 they charge for SAUCES! I ordered a family meal paid over $20 and they charge $0.30 per sauce unless you buy their tender chicken instead of bone in chicken. At least let your customers know that you charge for sauces as I have never seen any other locations charge for sauce! #2 rude customer service. I know it is a newer location but after 6 months in business your employees should what is going on. They even told me they don't honor the survey coupons. #3 chicken is inconsistent. Either cooked too much or their spicy chicken is not even properly marinated. This will be the last time I go to this location. I would rather drive extra 15-20 mins to go to another location. Upon arrival the car line was around the building, so I went inside. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and my order was taken almost immediately. They were out of chicken sandwiches- but that isn't within their control. I went to fill up my tea and the tea was empty. I asked for tea and it was filled behind the counter and teas were switched out while I waited for my order. Thirty minutes later, I asked for an idea of how much longer I'd be waiting as I saw multiple orders being made, but not a soul inside had gotten food in at least ten minutes. The staff member put chicken in my box and my order was delivered in about two more minutes. She said something about waiting to get the to go orders out- which I understand, but I dont feel I should wait behind all the drive in customers. The chicken came out in large strips and was hot. When I got home and began eating I realized half of two strips were mostly gristle, but the rest tasted good and was more than enough to be filling. I was given mild strips when I had asked for spicy. The potatoes were great as always but short on gravy and the biscuit was fantastic. Tbh I don't eat "fast food" often and experiences like this remind me that I just shouldn't. Staff was friendly though. read more

They have only been open a week and the reviews have been so negative. I decided to stop by tonight since I was working late. The drive thru was 20 cars deep and wrapped around the building. I didn't mind because I wanted to give them a try. After waiting about 5 minutes the line was moving steady. I had a lady approach me that was working the traffic in the drive thru line and encourage me to go inside for faster service. Sweet! I just parked and walked in. There were two people in front of me waiting to order. Once it was my turn the lady was very friendly and seemed like she knew what she was doing. There was no less than 20 staff members that I could see and they all seemed very confident in what they were doing. I waited 20 minutes ya'll. That is IT! I've waited longer many time at other Popeye's. I was impressed! I ordered a 15 piece meal plus an extra side. Food was HOT and order was correct :) WAY TO GO STAFF!! Friendly, happy, and makes you feel welcome. Then the side choices: ALOT! Red Beans and Rice, Cajun Fries, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans; all with a nice Cajun flavor. The Chicken Sandwich lives up to the hype. I didn't think there could be a better chicken sandwich than Chik-Fil-A, but Popeyes has done it. Thick, juicy, and flavorful. Their drive-through line is the worst in the world. I have been in line for half an hour and just now around at the bottom of the building. Someone needs to teach these people how to process window orders and fill them quickly. Absolutely ridiculous. The food is good... But the service is so bad that you just don't want to go back. A phone call was made and the conflict was avoided. bravo! -You can come back bring it in with your receipt and will give you your money back or give you another meal! Sure that's great! Now that I have made two trips for 15 minutes to your location to have to return this crap in hopes that you review it and make major changes in your location and try to keep people from sitting in line for two pieces of chicken for 18 minutes without any communication and one car in front of them ! Centerton has nothing but fast food for the most part and I wish that these restaurants would take a little more pride in what they provide out their drive-through windows. It's not only disturbing and disappointing, but outright frustrating. HORRIBLE! Credit card machine was down on my first visit, but you didn't get that message until after you waited in the ridiculously long 23 minute drive through line. So I tried it again the next day. Line was significantly shorter ... but that didn't mean a shorter wait. I waited in the drive through ... behind 4 cars ... for 26 minutes just to place my order. Then I waited another 14 minutes to actually get my food. When I got home with my food, the large Mac and cheese container I paid for was 1/2 full of crusty cold Mac and cheese. The green beans were practically gelatinous as they were so over cooked. And the chicken was cold and rubbery. My husband was very excited about a Popeyes opening so close to home ... but sadly, we were VERY disappointed! I hope they get their act together soon. read more

Have eaten at Popeyes in other locations and states and have generally had a good experience, but cannot begin to describe how awful this experience was. To begin with it took over 45 minutes to go through the drive through including a 5 minute wait at the window after I paid for my order. Figured they must have been running out of something and were making fresh. Boy was that a wrong guess. The chicken was dry and hard looking like it had been sitting under a warmer for hours. The mashed potatoes were also cold and dry. The biscuits could easily double for hockey pucks given their hardness. Not sure what anyone was doing as there were no customers at the counter while I was sitting at the pickup window and everyone I could see was just standing around inside. Then they gave me someone else's receipt when I finally got my order. Absolutely a terrible experience. Will definitely not be returning to this location and given the extremely negative experience it is unlikely I will ever try Popeyes anywhere again. read more

We ordered Popeyes popcorn "shrimp," under the heading "seafood". Shrimp is the only seafood they have. Okay, it's popcorn shrimp (small). But their shrimp is smaller with extra heavy breading. You can barely taste the shrimp though the breading. If you want popcorn shrimp, go to the Lob and order Walt's shrimp (it costs a lot more). read more
