They were super busy but an employee named Jeremy did a great job getting my order ready in a timely manner. He was very professional and had a good attitude. Well we went to this location and placed our order but they didnt have certain pieces of chicken we wanted so we ordered other pieces and redbeans and rice. Everything was fine and they even gave us napkins however as we traveled along the road, their was no plasticware to eat the redbeans and rice with. This is a common error most eateries make. My advice - don't even try! The times we've managed to actually GET food here, it is mediocre and service slow. Most times however you show up, God help you if it's between 4:30 and 6:30 (shock, this is a rush time!), wait around inside or in drive through, and never get to even order. 10/29/24 perfect example - show up at drive through about 5:40, there are 3 cars between me and speaker, cool, I've got time. Then it turned into an exercise in endurance. I had some things to do on phone so I hung out until 6:10. Yes, 30 minutes total time. Watched countless people lined up to street give up and pull around. After that 30 minutes a single car, yes ONE, had had their hopes fulfilled and been allowed to pull forward and place an order, about 5:55. Then they sat. Gave up, pulled off and saw two cars stopped beyond the window being held hostage since now they had made the mistake of paying, but still apparently were waiting for food. They HAD to have been there as long as I was. Not sure if this is just another in the long chain of crappy Popeye's or especially awful management team, but since this is the norm rather than the exception they should just shut it down. This is my last time I'll ever go to this Popeyes location ever again! Ordered thru their app @ 7:05. Doezen wings arrived at 7:25. Finally got the wings after the 11 other people received their orders. 5 were prior to mine and ordered at the counter. I was the last one there left @ 7:58 with wings that weren't fresh and without the dipping sauces I selected clearly on my receipt. The manager was rude and was not pleasant She said to get him his order and make sure there's Ranch and get him outta here. I ordered Buffalo and sweet and spicy. Horrible!! I order chicken from Popeyes at least once a week. The service is absolutely terrible! They have one girl in there that will threaten to spit on your food (blonde/brown braids) if you ask when your order will be ready. I ordered at 11:44, got there at 12:00 and my food was still not ready. They were NOT busy but waited on others that came in afterwards. I stated I had an online order and was told they would get to it when they got to it. Left me standing there for 15 more minutes then got my order wrong. My colleague and his wife have had bad experiences here, my colleague is currently suffering from salmonella poison from this location and his wife had to check the drive-through attendant for rudeness. Look at the reviews people! They are accurate -- I should have checked the reviews first and I never would have come here. I ordered and paid online -- it said to pick my order up at the counter. When I got there all the doors were locked so I had to wait in the car line -- which wasn't moving -- at all! I got out of my car and went to the window and asked about my order. The girl said "we don't do online orders". I said I already paid and I have a copy of my receipt and she just shrugged. I asked why the line wasn't moving and she said they were out of chicken! Haha. I honestly have decided to write this after a half dozen bad experiences, yesterday being the worst. I truly think the franchise owner should be stripped of this location. I have been twice during operating hours where all of the employees sit at a table in the restaurant (which indoor dining remains closed) and they do not get up to take orders for the drive through which is supposed to be openetc. they just watch people pull up and drive away. Yesterday there were signs handwritten everywhere that said "cash only". we pulled up to the window to order and got a muffled greeting. It was 2pm. with our order not taken we drove up to the window to speak with someone and not a single employee was in the restaurant. i looked to my right and no less than 5 staff members were just hanging out in the parking lot on their phones. the one girl still wearing her head device, so she, from the parking lot was telling customers at the order window they couldn't get food. I rolled my window down and they all looked at me, and just told us they couldn't help us. what in the actual world?! never been to a place the entire staff is hanging out in the parking lot and just closing down a business in the middle of the day for their leisure time. we went across the street and picked up lunch somewhere else, when leaving we saw the drive through back up and operating. makes zero sense. none of it. whoever owns this place must have zero pride in their location. the employees are beyond lazy and nobody is doing their job. popeyes should revoke this franchisees ability to run and operate because well, they aren't running and operating. epic fail. read more

BE HIGHLY WARY of this location! I ordered a 10 piece box of spicy with a $9.95 coupon this afternoon about 4:00 pm. They want you to tell them that you are using a coupon at the order station which shouldn't matter. What we got was chicken that appeared to have been cooked for hours. Was dried out and just horribly subpar for Popeyes. It also had 1 wing, no legs, 2 breast and the rest thighs. Now, to be fair, I live in Madison and have eaten takeout here several times. About half the time it's been really good. I would assume up to Popeyes standards. BUT this is the third time that it has been really subpar or something else wrong with the order. They should do an episode of Under Cover Boss show here! They're doing it all wrong. I've tried giving them multiple chances to get it right, but it's always wrong. Top 3 complaints: Long wait time, handing out cold/old food, looks nasty/unclean. Have you ever gone a through a drive through and had to cut your car off it took so long? 9 out of 10 times this is one of those places. You've got about a 50-50 chance of getting old food even after that long wait. Most of the time some black dude is going in and out the back by the drive through smoking and hanging out in his car. One time they were doing their nightly cleaning over an hour before close. Seems good but when I looked in the kitchen, they piled all the food in little open to-go boxes while spraying cleaner/chemicals all around it. SICK! Nothing like Lysol biscuits and Clorox chicken... We drove through on our way to Gulf Shores. While it took longer than most fast food places to complete our order, the food was great. My kids are big fans of the elusive spicy chicken sandwich and they said the ones at this location were bigger and tastier than other stores we have been to. Would give a zero if I could. Getting a correct order is 50/50. The GM doesn't have the craftsman ship to keep the place looking half decent (no intercom box for going on 3 years) and they never run promotion. You're pretty much guaranteed to wait forever even on a slow day and if your lucky your sides will be room temp. The other franchise locations in the central ms area don't have this problem this one just so happens to be the closest to my home but I often drive to the other which would mean I pass by a Popeyes to go to Popeyes.
