This review is regarding ONE female manager,short women, brown hair in a ponytail, no name tag- I waited for my turn, as there were a few ppl ahead of me, this women Behaved Horribly to the customers, she actually barked at a customer who was waiting on his order, she was yelling at staff, a guy came up to take my order Super Nice guy, this women was standing over him, I asked if they had coupons, and this WOMEN snapped at me, Told me NO WE DONT TAKE OR OFFER COUPONS anymore,pushed the guy who WAS TRYING to take my order AWAY FROM the register, then asked me what I wanted WHILE she barked at other employees, Her behavior was so Completely unacceptable that I said forget it, I then told her her attitude Sucked and I left ! I have being going to this location for almost 3 yrs, and the STAFF has ALWAYS been kind, helpful and efficient!!! That is until today !! This women (mgr) and her poor attitude is a reflection on this location, I feel for the employees who have to deal with Her negative DICTATOR BEHAVIOR! I did actually Call to complain, something I have never done before! I spoke with a very Kind Man (BRIAN) who manages this site on the Regular . I explained what happened, even though this women had no name tag-, BRIAN knew who I was speaking of! I ordered online directly to their website. the staff working in this hour have said that the store is close at 10PM. the store hours says 11PM and direct website -app takes money! we are not the only one who also ordered. they refused to give us our food as they said they are already close. My brother and I walked in and each ordered a two piece dinner. It took 13 minutes for us to get our food. After 10 minutes of waiting, I asked why our order was taking so long, the manager said "we are extremely busy." Us and another gentleman were the only people in the restaurant. Although it appeared they were busy filling a couple of Uber orders. When we finally got our order, I was given white meet, when I had ordered dark meat. My receipt clearly stated dark meat, and the box was marked dark meat. Since we were already running late, I decided to just eat the white meat. I took a bite out of the breast and it was so dry and overcooked, that I could not eat it. I ate the wing, (which was also very dry and overcooked), the biscuit and beans and rice. My brother, who loves white meat, could not eat his breast either and ended up eating only the wing and his sides. I will have to say that the restaurant was very clean. You guys suck as bad as Burger King. We just left Burger King because their doors were locked. We decided on going to Popeye's for chicken. We get to Popeye's and while the doors were open, we walked up to the register and there was a sign saying drive thru only. When nobody acknowledged us we walked out. You know at least Burger King locked the doors. As I said in my Burger King review, if you can't serve us for dine in, you don't deserve our business. Trying to eat fried chicken in a car, it makes a huge greasy mess. We left Popeye's and again went down the road to Applebees. They welcomed us for dine in and we had a great meal. read more

Nice people work here and they are always busy at the drive thru. Of all the businesses in this area I like the practical nature of this one the most. They serve ginormous pieces of chicken and I appreciate it. Usually by the time I admit I really want to go to Popeyes I need a lot of food in me. I walk everywhere since I don't drive so I justify spending $14 on a combo for myself by building my muscle all month. Staff is polite and friendly. No attitude from anyone here ever! We are newer to the McHenry area and we have been really wanting Popeyes since moving up here but saw the reviews weren't good so we decided to not get it for months. Fast forward about 9 months it is now last weekend and my husband really wanted Popeyes so we checked the reviews and nothing changed but my husband said let's just chance it lol. So I go in expecting some smelly dirty place with rude employees but it was NOTHING LIKE THAT! I walk in and doesn't smell and is clean. Walked up to the counter and some girl was moping the floor so kinda ignored me and I was like ok w/e she might not have seen me. Then a guy that looks like a manager walked up and took my order and he was was friendly. We ordered the 14 tender family meal that comes with 2 large sides and biscuits and added the strawberry biscuits. Everything was good and hot except our only complaint is the chicken could have been hotter or fresher (that is why I am rating 4 stars). I would definitely recommend and go back again. I am only posting this just in case someone else is out there relying on reviews and wanted to have Popeyes but did because there hasn't been any new good reviews. read more

Ok so I wanted to try the famous chicken sandwich. It was roped in half not even a whole intact piece. It was just ok. I will not go back. The fries we good. Arrive at 4:00 in the afternoon. Only one there , no drive up just me. Waited at the order counter for 10 minutes. Finally a person from the back told the girl that someone was at the counter. She was talking to the girl at the window drive up. Took my order and my money and started to prepare my meal. I ordered 12 piece meal. She dropped half the chicken on the floor and started over. When done I received my meal and drove home. After I opened up the chicken I Only had 9 pieces. Shorted me 3 thighs . I had the worst service I had ever been thru. Never again. We stopped in and ordered food through the drive-thru. We were told it would be 10 minutes because they had to make us wings and legs fresh. They told us to park in front and they'd bring it out to us. After 20 minutes of waiting, I called and was told they were bringing it right out. 10 minutes later, still nothing, so I called again and was told they were at the door bringing it out. 10 minutes later they refused to pick up the phone so I went inside. They told me they gave it to me already, which they hadn't, then they all ignored me and it took another 20 minutes for them to fulfill my order, just for them to get it completely wrong. I was there for almost an hour just for them to never even give me wings AT ALL, or apologize for the way they treated me. We got there at 3:58 and didn't receive food til almost 5, half of which wasn't even correct. And we NEVER saw anyone come out with food for anyone! read more
