Rude and unappreciative of your business is how I feel about the Mokena location. The people that work inside rarely bother to greet us when we go in to pick up an order. Very rare for them to say thank you. Perhaps their English skills are lacking. Twice recently when I've gone there in the evening, the doors are locked at 830 to 845 PM. That happened again this week. The sign on the door says the lobby is open until 9. So I have to go back to my car and now go thru the drive thru to get my online order. I said something to the guy at the window: "Why are your doors locked?" Response: "We lock them at nine." I told him it's 845 PM. He looks at the clock and says "We were very busier earlier today, so we locked the doors early." He turned away, closed the window. Didn't bother to say thank you. Does that even make any sense? Can these people not handle working a little harder? Unbelievable reason for locking up early. I'm done with their rudeness. I won't be back. A few weeks ago I was there on the weekend and some people were washing the windows inside and out. I could tell they weren't related to the staff that works inside, because the exterior window washer thanked me for coming on my way out! I had hopes the restaurant was sold to this guy and the rest of his crew. No such luck. The same unappreciative and unfriendly people continue to own it. Went to Mokena Popeyes on April 28th. I went through the drive thru because the app was having technical issues. I forgot scan my rewards qr code because I was just going to enter it manually. When I looked my receipt to enter my receipt code in the app, I couldn't find it. Low and behold I discovered that the guy who took my order Miguel scanned his code and collected my points. Seems he's been doing this alot as he has amassed over 30,000 points. I tried every way I could to get my points, Popeyes Regenional Manager said nothing he could do, customer service said they couldn't do anything, the restaurant Manager couldn't do anything. This place has gone down hill. When they first opened the food was fantastic. Over time the food became worse and today it was disgusting. The chicken must have been sitting out for HOURS before serving us. It was dry,overcooked, "grey looking". We called the Manager who had no clue on how to handle a compliant and advised us we would need to get the chicken out of the garbage to bring it back for a refund, otherwise we should call Corporate- what!?! So your incredible team tonight made a mistake by putting gravy on the mashed potatoes. No big deal. We told the window guy nicely and even offered to pay for them and he said no problem. Then one minute later your thug manager or what ever his position was comes back to the window and says "What's this mam you didn't want gravy on the potatoes?" So my wife had to explain to this guy why my autistic son didn't want gravy! It was a 2 dollar mash potatoes like we were trying to get extra potatoes. My once a week break from cooking during this pandemic was a bust! Finally decided to stop by and try the famous chicken sandwich. Line to order is 8 cars deep when I arrive. I ordered 5 spicy chicken sandwiches, 1 mashed potato and 3 fries. Since there is no screen to verify your order, I proceed to pay and receive my order. Look at my receipt, they charged for 4 fries. Okay. I'll let it go. Get home and unpack 1 mash potatoes, 4 fries and WHO IS NOT GOING TO EAT??? I only have 4 chicken sandwiches in the bag!! Guess who only had fries with leftovers!! I like the chicken there but how hard is it to complete the order. I usually stop here when going to auto store next door. Never any more. Im tired of missing items. Am I supposed to open everything? They have no problem charging for 3 piece chickens and giving 2 pieces. My son has had many items missing also while visiting this restaurant. Its says lobby open but thats not true. The only way these places are going to learn are to not use the service until they step it up. Its chicken in a box. Sides in containers. Awful awful awful!!! Stay away from this place! After spending $50, I get home and half my order is missing. I call and no one picks up. It just rings and rings. I go back to Popeyes where the manager Tiffany hears my complaint (with an attitude) and since I was never given a receipt, I showed her my bank statement showing the total for the order. Out of all the Popeyes I've been to in Illinois this is the best one thus far. I'm comparison to the rest this location is the cleanest, fastest and the most polite. It seems to work at Popeyes your attitude has to be horrible but here I was using the lady's facilities longer than it took to have my two Infamous Chicken Sandwiches prepared. UPDATE: After visiting this location about half a dozen times, my rating has completely changed. While the customer service may be friendly, nothing else is up to par. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to get a simple order. Last week I waited 25 minutes for one order. I could see it just sitting out in the open getting cold. The owner and management really need to invest in more training or they are going to lose out on a ton of business. Love that chicken from Popeye's!! Honestly when you don't mind feeling greasy and bloated, it's well worth it to stop by here. I've gone to this location twice since it opened and I was satisfied both times. Food was hot and delicious and the prices are reasonable. This place smells so good that it's difficult to not stop by after leaving the local gym but one must resist!
