Beggars is not only a Southside staple but also a go-to for my family. We visit often for family gatherings and carry out orders to enjoy at home. The Tinley Park location is among their newer locations. It's always clean, staff is extremely nice and accommodating, and food is consistent. I visited during the holidays which this year they actually took reservations for. We had a group of 9 adults and 3 kids which they more than accommodated for ahead of time. We ordered a variety of appetizers to share: mozzarella sticks, breaded mushrooms, and curly fries ahead of (3) pizzas. During the holidays, a lot of large parties dine in so we ordered right away. They paced our food nicely, gave us clean plates for apps and entree, and kept drink refills coming. We did order (3) large pizzas which one came out as a medium by mistake; they kindly gave is an additional small pizza for free to offset the error. While Beggars pizza isn't my favorite, it's always consistent and the slogan "we lay it on thick" never lies. read more

Their pizza is amazing thin crust or deep dish it is one of the best in the area. I have been ordering from this particular Beggars for over 10 years. I usually order for pick up but this time I decided to dine in and my dine in experience was the absolute pits. The three stars are strictly for the pizza. It was a week day mid evening and the restaurant was not crowded and I understand why. The service experience was absolutely disappointing. My waitress took my order and only returned to my table twice once to put a plate on my table and the other time was to put my pizza on my table. When I finished eating, I had to search for her to bring me my bill and then a second time to get a to go box. If the restaurant was crowded, I could understand the lack of service and attention, but that was not the case there had to be maybe three other patrons in the entire restaurant. The beef taco pizza is amazing. We loved it! Probably one of the top two taco pizzas I've ever tasted for sure. I would definitely get it again. My only complaint is prices are kind of high compared to some other pizza spots. We also tried the chicken taco pizza. That was also good, but we preferred the beef one. Just got an awesome massage and stopped here with my significant other for a fat, stuffed and fattening pizza. First, I sipped a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and munched on a Greek salad shared with my husband. The salad was delicious but a little salty. We downed a few fried taco appetizers - don't judge until you try them - and then the pizza arrived. It was delicious! Jalapeño peppers, cheese pepperoni, olives, onions and cheese -- yum! I could only down one piece as it's a meal in itself. The service was good and the atmosphere relaxing. It's nice to be out again. One more thing... masks aren't required; however starting on 8/30, the mask mandate for Illinois kicks in and masks will be required once again. Go figure! read more

This is one of our local favorites! We walked in on a Friday night and it was very busy but we're sat right away. Our sever was good and took our drink and pizza order right away. We ordered our deep dish pizza order at the same time we ordered our drinks because it takes at least 50 minutes for the pizza to cook. She told us the time was running around one hour fifteen minutes for deep dish. We also ordered dough bites for an appetizer. Our drinks canes out quickly and the appetizer shortly after. Pizza took around one hour and the manager brought it to our table. Appetizer and pizza was really good. They have beer on tap and my husband and I both got 32 oz beers. This location is marketed with the Chicago White Sox. Funny thing, they were playing and the game was only on 2 TVs in the whole place. I have a busy schedule staff was friendly. I was on the go so had to order for the family too to go. I was told a small pizza would take about 25-30 mins. It was over 45, and I also ordered baked pasta, and a beef sandwich. my pasta sauce is so bad it smells and tastes like green olives. not supposed to be in there according to the website. pasta was dry. Never received my bread and butter which was supposed to come with. Definitely not worth the money. In addition the carry out staff were sitting on counters very unprofessional. I take my kids to the gym located near by and thought it would a be great idea to bring us all to order an easy dinner while the kids were in classes. big mistake $70 later read more

I ordered a sausage pizza through Grubhub and clearly paid for it through Grubhub. When I got there, the girl behind the counter insisted I did not pay for it. I was charged twice for the pizza as I bought two cookies while there. Finally, I had to show her my receipt from grub hub. Then she just gave me the cookies for nothing. They were clearly in a hurry. I placed the order at 8:00. They close at 9. So as I'm there at 8:35 to pick up my pizza. That's when they realized they never made it!!!! So I sit and I wait. That being said ... the things I don't understand is when I call to place an order I will be very nice and well spoken while ordering , but in return I receive a blunt , almost unattached I don't care about you attitude out of everyone who answers the phone . I've come to a conclusion that this will be the last order I ever make to that location . Being in the customer service industry myself , I find it hard to believe that the employees hired to take calls aren't trained in phone educate . I thought excessive sauce and bland pizza was the Plainfield location only. Ive had friends say come to the south side, youll see the difference. Well I met a friend yesterday for lunch buffet at the south side and you know what? It was no different! Kinda odd since Ive passed here before and occasionally went to the pick up window and had slices to go. The crew popped them into the oven to warm up and they were fine. Yesterday I come to the buffet, salad leaves were on the verge of wilting, soup was meh, and the pizza was cold and bland. Later when they brought fresh pizza out, the pizza was hot but bland. $9 for buffet but not worth it. Service was fine, they were there enough, but I cant figure the love given to this chain which consistently produces mediocre pizza. The south suburbs are known for great pizza, why are my friends from that area so hepped up to include this chain which really is only a few steps above fast food pizza. Personally, I actually prefer Jets to this place. Crispier crust, and toppings are almost equal but priced less than Beggars. and less sauce. Beggars needs to do an overhaul of what they're all about. Corporate should ask themselves, did we expand too much? Do we need to make sure we are back to the original recipe? Maybe quality control should sample at a few of these places to see whats gone wrong. Im not recommending any Beggars at this moment.
