Stopped in for a quick bite, the food was pretty good! It's located right next to a seafood boil spot and across from a hotel and Texas Roadhouse, just off the highway, so it's easy to find. The interior was clean, but as the sign outside mentions, it's grab-and-go only with no indoor seating. Our order took about 15 minutes to prepare, and overall everything was solid, fresh, hot, and convenient for takeout.

Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken is an average, fast food restaurant. I purchased their boneless chicken, and it was very bland. The portion sizes are small, but the service is quick. They do have a variety of sauces to help make the chicken taste better, but the food is still very mediocre. I tried the garlic and honey BBQ. I guess this restaurant is okay if you're just looking for something quick.

Ordered 20pc Boneless wings. The entire order fits in a small box and the wings were essentially chicken nuggets. Minced meat chicken with a gross texture. Disgusting and overpriced. This has nothing to do with the owner of the store- this is clearly a product supplied by the corporate side. Franchisee cooked it fine- but charging $30 for ground up chicken balls is criminal. Stick with the bone in wings if you decide to try it out.

Had errands to run with hubby and he was like "let's get some Korean chicken". So, I looked on Yelp to see if there was one close to our location. Sure enough, we found a Bonchon to-go on La Grange in Orland Park. Same delicious aromas upon entering as the one in China Town. We ordered the wings; half garlic soy and half Korean BBQ. We ordered pickled radish and an order of fries. We received an order of coleslaw so I still cannot say how the radish tastes. As we were leaving, the young man called us back. He forgot to put our fries in the bag. Good catch sir. Thank you.

Yesterday I tried Korean fried chicken for the first time and the food ordered was delicious. The inside of the restaurant was clean and the wait wasn't too bad. My boyfriend isn't a huge fan of Asian cuisine but he liked his order so that's saying a lot. Unfortunately I'm from out of town so I will try to visit once more before leaving!

First time at this location. It's take-out only. Service was okay. The menu is pretty simple. The food itself is good in flavors, and crisp was okay, but I would prefer the whole chicken type of Korean chicken as to just legs and wings. The sides were good too but nothing special. Might order again if in the area. The amount you get for the price you pay could also be better.

Boneless soy garlic

I have been to two other locations and absolutely loved their food. This location was not good. I usually get the drumsticks and I love those because they have such a crunch and a really good soy garlic flavor. Today I went to Tinley Park and got a 20 piece Boneless and it was almost $28 for mediocre chicken. Our food was done literally 10 minutes after I placed it, so it almost felt like it was reheated. The soy garlic flavor was very light, and the chicken was not crunchy or crispy at all. It literally tasted almost microwavable, and that was very disappointing because the other locations I've been to have been excellent. It's a grab and go spot, but no one was in there and I kind of see why. It's very pricey for the quality. They have a big parking lot and the girl at the counter was friendly.

So...I'd just stick with the fried chicken here. Ordered a bibimbap bowl (had a small pile of spinach, wilted lettuce, mushrooms, shredded carrots, scrambled egg, some beef bulgogi meat and a heck of a lot of rice on the bottom. Not worth the price in my opinion. Gochujang sauce was watered down and just okay. The donuts (got an order, came with 2) was delicious. Fresh and pillowy, coated with cinnamon sugar. The "cream sauce" side was more like straight up condensed milk (which isn't necessarily a bad thing but is pure sugar lol). Again, would come here for the chicken only. Some seating is available inside as you wait for your to-go order.

A uncooked chicken

Under-fried, bone-in wings with some pre-packaged condiments "on the side", all tossed carelessly into a plastic grocery bag, no container.

Friendly service as usual for any bonchon I've been to, and the food is just as good. So happy to have one closer to home.

Ask the Community - Bonchon Tinley Park

Is this place ever going to open?!?

I don't think so. A sign has been on that building since 2016. Was supposed to open and didn't in march 2023 and again in October and November 2023. Of course it didn't.

The ordering process via ipad was easy; we just passed it around and hit the submit button at the end. The sauce bar had a lot of choices, and they had a small dessert bar as well. Overall, it's just what you'd expect so there are no hidden charges like "broth charge extra", etc like Happy Lamb. Meat and vegetable quality was good overall; fresh. Our server Mimi was on point and was great at her job, so kudos. Two things that were slightly annoying which prevented the 5 star rating were: 1) 18% gratuity for party of 5 or more; just another way to apply a price adder I guess. 2) photographer took our photos then then tried to sell us each framed picture for $20 each. A bit dear, and I would've bought them if they were $10 ea. Other than that, it's a nice place to have a meal.

Pros: The place was clean, the food was quality, the service fast, and friendly. Cons: Two sets of tongs for a family of four. All the sauce ingredients with no measurements on the listed recipes. I do have my own base stir-fry sauce I do at home that I was able to make. - The Sauce and tongs is why a one star deduction. The favorite was definitely the grill. Their base marinades don't need sauces. I did use my aforementioned sauce to flavor things like the plain chicken one of my kids ordered. Hot Pot: 1 Miso and 3 Toms. Two of us thought the Tom was not good. One thought it was okay. The Miso was liked... but as the youngest chose it and was randomly throwing stuff in there... Well her cooking skills need help, but that's not on them. Overall it was a better experience than I expected, even being the one to cook 90% of it. It was a good fun family outing. If/when we do this again, I'll likely ask if I can try other soup bases. Maybe using their mini sauce bowls before committing. Note: I do strongly suggest doing your homework if you are unfamiliar with this type of faire. We did. It enriches the experience. I'll likely bring a note sheet on sauce recipes. If you have more than two people, bring extra tongs. (I did ask for more, but didn't get more - Unsure if this is protocol or oops.)

I thought ok ok, maybe the first time when we had korean BBQ, it was a one off. Let's give them another chance. The 2nd time we had hot pot and that was even worse The food has been sitting out for at least 5 hours because the beef balls start the turn color and the sour smell coming off the food was horrendous. I really should have spoken up because I got really sick afterwards and had to call in sick with stomach pain all night. Then my family also was in the bathroom all night due to the spoiled food that was left too long. If you need a food poisoning with sour food that has been sitting out hours and hours and pay $200 for 4 people, a real bathroom cleanse so you can use your sick day in bed throwing up then this place is absolutely for you. It's not my idea of expensive fun time so I would not go back even if THEY pay me $200. Food poisoning recommended
