Two other Popeyes, Splendora and Cleveland refused to sell me the chicken I wanted. I asked for two pieces of dark and they told me I had to get a leg and a thigh. So, like usual, I have to come to the best Popeyes in Houston. It's a bit further but its always great. I used to come from west Houston here and now, just a little north. The chicken is always great, the service is always very pleasant and I have several reviews on here from many years in the past. This is the Popeyes that got me to eat at Popeyes again after two bad experiences in the '80s near Astroworld when it was absolutely horrible. This place has always been great. read more

I received old hard stale crusted chicken again!! Why are you giving customers old chicken when you open? I can tell chicken that I has been refrigerated and reheated. The remodeled restaurant was clean -the staff was very friendly, but that chicken sandwich is the nastiest food item I have tried to eat in many years ! I actually spit out the first bite!... it was a nasty mouthful of greasy, fried breading,with mayonnaise and bread ....absolutely terrible! I want to say I have never written a bad review but I signed up just to leave a review of this place. I placed an mobile order and my husband went to go pick it up. They said someone picked up my order and just ignored him afterwards with no apology. He left angry and came home.The way they treated my husband was so wrong. I went to go pick up the order instead. They continued to say that multiple people tried to pick up the order and refused to see my id. The cashier had such a horrible attitude for no reason. Can someone please tell me when did Popeye's start selling SHRIMP JERKY? I know about the fried chicken, chicken strips, popcorn chicken, butterfly shrimp, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches... I even remember them selling naked chicken at one point but never SHRIMP JERKY. I missed that promo. Well, I pulled into the fairly new location and since I have been wearing braces lately, if I want some Popeyes, I'd opt for the popcorn shrimp. Since I know they're bite sized and not so crunchy on the teeth, I've come to enjoy them so that's what I ordered last night. I pulled up to the window, paid, and got my food pretty quickly. Now my past experiences ordering popcorn shrimp and most Popeyes have either resulted in me being parked or I'd have a few minutes before my food was brought to me. I was surprised and how quickly they brought me my order. If I had known they'd be serving me shrimp jerky instead, I would have gladly wait on a fresh order. Peep the pics y'all. Those are 3 different pieces of shrimp. But this location needs an update and staff that wants to work. i ordered my food and the guy taking my order goes to the back and gets lost and someone else has to figure my order smh!!! and the bathrooms need to be cleaned all times, if the bathroom is dirty that means this place is dirty. windows around the resturant has tons of finger prints and water streaks, theres rips and holes in the seats. 1 star read more

Why this location keep giving me chicken breast without meat. I used to buy 8 pieces 3 of them straight to garbage. Now I'm buying 10 pieces 4 of them messed up. 2 chicken breasts without meat and 2 dried wings.. Then they don't pick up the phone Pls if you have big family don't go there. Popeyes decided to join up with T-Mobile to do T-mobile Tuesday. But the moment people tried to order on their app, the website, or in person, the people aren't allow to order. Popeyes insist, to use the T-Mobile Tuesday, you must order online or through app. But when Tuesday comes around the order function isn't working for the people to order. I got their buy one get one free chicken sandwich deal. Both chicken sandwiches were cooked perfectly crunchy on the outside moist and tender on the inside. The only downside is where the Cajun fries they either were a little bit old or were under the lamp a little too long they were too hard for me to eat the majority of them but it was still worth going and it was a little bit after 9 PM and the chicken sandwiches were great. I would've gave them five stars had the Cajun Fries been fresh. Customer service was great as well. The drive-through employee was very nice, fast and my order was 100% correct I will be going back here. read more

Cajun chicken fast food restaurant. We chose to use the drive through this evening. We were greeted and waited on right away. We ordered the 16 piece spicy bucket with green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and macaroni and cheese. The drive-thru line was not very long even though it was already passed 6pm. They were very quick getting the orders out. When we got home, the food was was pretty warm still. We only had to travel 10 minutes. The chicken was crispy and juicy but I was not impressed with the sides. The green beans were slimy and tasted smoky, the macaroni and cheese was some weird orange color and tasted like a clump of velveeta cheese. The mashed potatoes were instant of course(the usual fair for most fast food chicken places) and the gravy was the cajun gravy. I really don't care for the spicy gravy at all (but that is just my preference). The biscuits were very good. They were warm and very tasty. I am not really a big fan of Popeye chicken in general as I don't like the cajun style of cooking. But if you do, this place would do in a pinch. The plus side is the fast efficient friendly service and the chicken is very good. The negatives are the sides are just not all that good. read more

Sorry I've been MIA yall! As you know Houston was hit by Harvey really bad, my family lost everything on the first floor of our home, but we are so happy to just be alive and together. During the storm by the grace of the chicken gods Popeyes was open and the line was so ridiculous I can't even describe it to you. So we are waiting of course stomachs growling wondering when the world will return to normal. So we get to order our food and make it to the windows in about 30 min. Which was good time actually. And we of course thank the employees for being so kind to come in to work and we asked if they were being treated well and they sure had a lot to say about the grumpy customers. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH DO NOT EAT HERE. Twice now we have found shrimp in my boyfriends food who is DEATHLY ALLERGIC TO SHELLFISH. Last time I called HR and all they did was offer to send me a $5 coupon, which never even arrived. This time, they claimed up and down that they fry shrimp and chicken separately. It is bullshit. Worst customer service ever! We ordered our food and the the girl asked us to park in the parking lot because she said it will take 5 minutes for spicy chicken to get ready. So we parked and was waiting on them to bring our food. After waiting for almost 20 minutes I was out of patience and went to the drive through again to ask them what was going on and the guy said oh your food is almost ready it should be out in 1 minute and he closed the window. We were waiting at the window for 5 more minutes to get our food and after we got our food and got home then we found out the chicken they gave us was not completely cooked and was pink from inside. Just keep in mind we got our food after waiting for almost 30 minutes. I'm never going to that location again never. read more
