This Denny's stood out from others I've visited. The staff was great but there was a young white lady waiting on another table that was probably the best waitress I've ever witnessed. She was very helpful and engaging but not to the point of being annoying. Now the food. The chicken sandwich was great and the chicken was cooked perfect and was tender. I have zero complaints for the Denny's location.

How wonderful to have a brand new Denny's just down the road. It is located at the junction of FM 1314 and the Grand Pkwy. We went for breakfast and were seated right away. The staff was incredibly friendly but still getting used to the new technology they are using to take and place orders. I had the 55 plus special, one egg, hash browns (cooked crispy), and swapped toast for an English muffin. The meal comes with 1 bacon and 1 sausage. The food was cooked to my instructions, served hot and quickly. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak omelet and a side of sausage. He also opted for the English muffin. Again he was very pleased with the quality of his meal.

Denny's is a great addition to the Highlands and Cumberland area. They serve all the favorites 24 hours a day. The location is accessible from both 1314 and Cumberland Blvd (through the parking areas). So if you have a golf cart, it's a quick run for a great meal. For the folks in The Highlands, it's still an off road walk, but the road is being developed. We visited 3 days after their grand opening. While the crew is still visibly shaking out the kinks and learning the ropes, they were friendly and attentive. They sat us quickly and took our orders. They kept our coffee cups full. Everything showed up hot and fresh. They never rushed us. It was a great breakfast. I had the Philly cheesesteak omelet which is a fav. Sadly, I substituted the hash browns for veggies to fit my keto diet, but I did get to taste a fork full ... delicious and crispy. The order came out fast and hot. It was delicious and so filling. I recommend stopping in for a meal or a hot coffee.

I don't think I've ever gone to a breakfast spot and loved their eggs like they were scrambled in my own kitchen. The chicken sage sausage and moon dusted potatoes, were almost the stars of the dish! My only con, was the serving size of the grits for the price, although I understand. Will definitely be back when breakfast is on our mind. Thank you for handling the grit complaint so well, we appreciate you.

We drove about an hour to get there and it was very well worth it. The restaurant is in a plaza with other stores and restaurants so there's plenty of parking right out front. We had a 20 minute wait we ended up sitting outside which was a nice covered spot. We ordered the truffle fries, firecracker shrimp with a side of grits & beignets to start off. The girls are called creamy dreamy and they absolutely live up to their name. The best grits ever! Super creamy and cheesy. The firecracker shrimp was tasteful and savory and we loved the truffle fries. We also ordered a biscuit bc the place is called the flying biscuit how could we not? Our server Susana was amazing super sweet and accommodating she gave us great recommendations and I'm so glad to have come across her! She definitely added to our experience The restaurant itself was super cute and colorful i loved the paintings on the wall and i should mention that the bathroom was super cute! I'm so glad we went to the flying biscuit I'd definitely go again next time I'm in town!

Went here one morning/afternoon for lunch and was a little displeased. Firstly there is no sign on the front to say the name of the restaurant. my friend and I had to go through a hall where they were setting up some tables maybe for an event and we were told to walk through their back doors and that's how we saw the outside seating. There is a lovely view of the golf course if seated outside. It's just busy with all the golf carts that keep coming and going or them mowing the lawn so for me my allergies were acting up and I was sneezing and sniffling as lot do it wasn't much fun, but I loved to look at the course and the golfers afar. Inside is decorated nicely more for like hunters and as I said, the golfers will enjoy it as it is on the golf course. We decided to sit outside. Although someone was wiping off some doors when we chose our seats we had to wipe them ourselves as she did not look our way or render assistance. The chairs and tables were all dusty and had dead bugs. Anyhow a nice young lady came to offer menus and take our orders, to my surprise there was not much of a girly drink or even something virgin (and yes I get it it's a sports bar) we opted for grapefruit juice and oj which were either watered down and not freshly squeezed but bottled tasting more like Minute Maid. I ordered the cheese burger bowl and a side of mashed potatoes. The plate was messy when received and the patty was very salty. The mash was dry and even the cheese that was on it had hardened. I had to ask for some gravy for it to taste better. I'm not one to send back food because of a lot of reasons so I kept it and was making a mental note. I may go back seeing I walk that area weekly and can take it for a little pick me up stop after my walk so I'll see and let yall know how my next visit goes.

The bar is always busy and the bartenders are working double duty making drinks for the restaurant and walk up bar customers while providing full service to those of us seated at the bar. I had the Bolognese and my wife had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. First off the Bolognese was one of the best I've ever had and I grew up with old Italians who prided themselves in their sauce. Reminded me of home. My wife's sandwich was so big she had to cut it in half. She said it was really good and that they could just serve it without the bun and it would be a hit. Ended up taking half of it home which I finished later in the evening and I have to agree. It was a really good chicken sandwich. And I can't forget the fries. They were great too. Congrats to the chefs on a job well done.
