Arrived, they were not busy yet no one was helping customers walking in. Figured they were short staffed. Eventually sat down after 4 minutes of waiting. Ordered drinks and food. We then went to bathroom to wash up. Bathroom was filthy! I mean bad. I don't get why places let it get that bad. Sink had water everywhere and trash all over floor. Horrible- During my recent visit, the staff behavior and service were very disappointing. Several workers were sitting around, being loud, and using their cell phones with the speaker on--some were even watching football games. Despite only two customers in the restaurant, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and my pancakes were completely forgotten. This Denny's stood out from others I've visited. The staff was great but there was a young white lady waiting on another table that was probably the best waitress I've ever witnessed. She was very helpful and engaging but not to the point of being annoying. Now the food. The chicken sandwich was great and the chicken was cooked perfect and was tender. Denny's is a great addition to the Highlands and Cumberland area. They serve all the favorites 24 hours a day. The location is accessible from both 1314 and Cumberland Blvd (through the parking areas). So if you have a golf cart, it's a quick run for a great meal. For the folks in The Highlands, it's still an off road walk, but the road is being developed. We visited 3 days after their grand opening. While the crew is still visibly shaking out the kinks and learning the ropes, they were friendly and attentive. They sat us quickly and took our orders. They kept our coffee cups full. Everything showed up hot and fresh. They never rushed us. It was a great breakfast. I had the Philly cheesesteak omelet which is a fav. Sadly, I substituted the hash browns for veggies to fit my keto diet, but I did get to taste a fork full ... delicious and crispy. The order came out fast and hot. It was delicious and so filling. How wonderful to have a brand new Denny's just down the road. It is located at the junction of FM 1314 and the Grand Pkwy. We went for breakfast and were seated right away. The staff was incredibly friendly but still getting used to the new technology they are using to take and place orders. I had the 55 plus special, one egg, hash browns (cooked crispy), and swapped toast for an English muffin. The meal comes with 1 bacon and 1 sausage. The food was cooked to my instructions, served hot and quickly. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak omelet and a side of sausage. He also opted for the English muffin. Terrible experience. My wife and I sat down and we saw our waitress ordered drinks and food. Then we sat there for 30 mins. I finally got up to complain and the manager basically said oh that's a normal amount of time but people that sat down after us already were getting their food. We waited another 20mins before talking to the manager again and just said we want the ticket to pay for the coffee. Another manager came to talk to us and said they would fix it. Our food finally came out maybe 5 minutes later. At the end the original server finally showed up with some bullshit excuse about why she hadn't been back. Nothing was ever communicated to us about what was going on honestly. The food was fine but the staff clearly does not care about customers or service. Honestly the manager should have comped but the food but we still ended up paying for the meal. 0 out of 10 would not recommend and will not be back. read more

Food was good but the restrooms do not have a diaper changing station. We were told they were taken out for Covid but never put back in. They need to be put back in. I could not change my daughter's diaper and she needed to be changed. We had to change her in the parking lot in the back seat of our car. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Brand new ... nice diner but the experience was a little weird. First thing was the mild smell of sewer backing up, zero personality, slow moving ... it just felt off. Our server cleaned a table off very near where we were sitting, a table with one patron. She left two napkins on the table that appeared unused. He took those napkins and tossed them up on a buffet where supplies were kept (e.g., napkins and silverware wrapped in napkins) to be reused. Are they supposed to do that ??
