Man this place is a disorganized mess. Waited over an hour and they still forgot our order. The soda machine was leaking all over the front service area and was out of ice. Only two girls (visually stressed the f out) trying their best but failing. A non existent manager was suppose to come help - we never saw them. We suggested they shut down the drive thru or the indoor dining cuz man a shit show for sure. We asked for our money back - again over an hour for two easy chicken meals - the cook who is also the manager had no idea how to do the refund. The food is great. We enjoy the Classic Chicken. The last two times we have gone through the drive-thru our I order was not accurate. Our five piece meal was a leg and thigh, that's all, just two pieces! We did get the rwo sides and two biscuits. Tonight I ordered the same meal and told them about the shortage on our last meal. Wish I could give no stars. Spare yourself THE HOUR it takes to get your food. They have a drive through but no one gets the food in the drive through you have to go around and wait. Then they don't give you a receipt so they give the food to anyone. (Our order was given to someone else and then they accused us of throwing it away to get more.) Never will I ever need to go back for seconds at popeyes so that's a weird thing to say. This place is a joke. Ordered 6 piece boneless wings on app and went in and showed the manager(because she was the only one wearing black shirt) my order but she didn't say anything but turn around and went inside the kitchen. So I thought she's getting my food ready. But it didn't come out so after 10 min I come up to the counter and she comes and saying 'how can I help you?' So I showed her my order again and she said they need to cook boneless wings. So I was standing there for 5 min and the tall guy came out from the kitchen and told me it will take 6 min to make it. So I waited another 10 min. While I was waiting I saw another guy comes out with a box with some chickens in it and put it on the counter top. After 5 more minutes later I come to the counter and asked cashier about my order and she started to track my order and brings out the box that the other guy brought out from the kitchen 15 min ago. I usually get my fried chicken at my grocery store deli, but this time I decided to give Popeye's a try. I've had them before but not in a long time. I'm not really into that crazy spicy chicken sandwich craze, I just want my chicken. I ordered a 8 piece box of chicken. There wasn't too much of a crowd in here at the time and service was just fine. OK, I just couldn't wait till I got home, since home is 30 minutes away. I had me a nice drumstick in the car and yes, it was quite tasty and hot. I do like the breading better than KFC for sure, but I think I'd say the pieces are sort of on the small size, you know, small chickens in the first place. The pieces at the grocery store are bigger. Sure, I'd come back and have Popeye's again, only if I was in the area. I'm not gonna drive 30 minutes just to eat Popeye's fried chicken. It never occurred to me to Yelp check this place. I wish now I had. Their present rating of 2.1 stars is far too generous. This place is a disaster. Visited the restaurant at 11:00 am on a Friday. Upon entering the restaurant the first thing you notice is an awful smell. Very old cooking oil smell permeates the entire restaurant. And it was STRONG. There were two customers waiting for orders. There were no customers in line to order. Still I waited five minutes at the counter before I was approached by staff. By staff I mean the drive through attendant. I placed my order and paid. The total for two sandwiches, 2 small fries and two medium drinks was $36. I filled my drinks and while I was doing so I was informed that there would be a 10 minute wait because nothing was cooked. At 11:00am on a Friday. I waited. And waited. And WAITED. Twenty minutes later I was handed two bags. Fries were cold. Even after waiting 20 minutes for "fresh food". The chicken sandwiches were terrible. Tasteless. No seasoning at all. I did not order spicy, but I certainly did not expect the alternative of utterly bland and tasteless. The service at this location was cold and off putting, to the point of blatant hostility. For all the online praise you hear about this place, I just didn't see it. Any of it. I gave them one star only because I had to. Absolutely nothing to praise here and frankly, if this place is still open a year from now it would be a miracle. I'm an idiot for continually coming back here. I placed an app order and the time was different on the app order confirmation due to me having opened the app earlier. I went to pick up my order and they couldn't find it. That's ok, I went inside to try and find a solution. The workers obviously hate their jobs. Do I expect ass kissing and shit eating grins? No. I just expect them to not have the attitude of a 12 year old preteen when they can't go out with their friends. I explained my situation a couple of times. Brought up receipts. Showed them The app and the order. The guy helping me said fine I guess I'll make the whole thing. And skulked away. After that every interaction with him was literally like talking to an angsty angry teen. Bro looked late 20s maybe. Another customer had ordered and requested to use the restroom. The girl helping him pointed to the restroom and slowly walked away like a zombie. The customer couldn't get into the restroom due to it needing a key. He came back and asked a couple of times if it needed a key. To which my manchild assistant and zombie girl stood next to each other ignoring him. Man child then gave me my bag of food and said oh I'll get your drink. Came back with one drink, I politely corrected him and showed him the 4 drinks, he skulked off again slowly barely able to contain the sigh of frustration he let out. Still got the wrong drinks which I discovered when I got home. The three other customers waiting and I exchanged nice looks and smiles, it was a great time for everyone! I guess this interaction at least went better than that time I went through the drive through and one of the employees was very visibly nodding off on some nice pharmaceuticals. Keep it up Popeyes!! He greeted me with a smile and told me that the menu board was not updated, so just him what I wanted and he would make it happen *thumbs up* Super friendly, very efficient, made to order. My husband loves Popeyes chicken he wants to eat there any time we grab food on the way home, but the last 2 times we have visited this particular one has almost turned us completely off of eating there. Last time, we waited for 20 mins for 2 4 piece chicken meals. While a homeless lady sat right outside the front doors tweaking out. This time, we were sent to wait again. After 25 mins of waiting, my husband went inside to check on our order. One of the employees yelled across the room to him, "Hey, you can't be in here. Inside is closed we don't have staff." (The door was open) My husband let him know and then just asked about our order. And we told, "We're working on it." After waiting another 5 minutes, an employee comes out, "here."
