I heard a lot of good things about Peri Peri so I had to give it a try. I must say I was presently surprised. This may be one of the better chicken spots in Redding. The chicken is super moist and very flavorful. I got the Mango Lime and the Mango sauce on the 2 Boneless Chicken Thigh meal. Both sauces were great. Mango Lime was definitely my favorite. Their fries are also solid, but you gotta dip them in the Peri special sauce. I ate my meal so fast I forgot to take the picture Solid 4 Star spot for Redding.

Made to order grilled peri peri chicken and potatoes. Highly recommended their potatoes. Welcoming staff. Great service. Clean tables and great ambiance to enjoy your meal.

This is a chain in the same building as The Sourdough Company serving mostly chicken dishes with sides. We dined in on a weeknight and it wasn't too busy. You can order a set meal or a la carte and they have a fountain drink machine that has soda water. The staff were all super friendly and the tables were pretty big. I thought the chicken was a little dry, but the mashed potatoes were divine! I also liked the different sauces they have. Overall, a quick and decently tasty place to grab a meal.

Got the whole chicken with lemon herb and mild sauce. The grill on the chicken was great and whatever base marinade/sauce they use was delish by itself. But the sauce is where they shined! The lemon and herb sauce had almost a chutney vibe to it, sweet and tangy. The mild sauce was so flavorful! Lots of spices but not too spicy. The last sauce I had no idea what the name was but it was also delicious! Creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet. The only thing is that the chicken was a little dry in some parts. Nothing that the sauce couldn't fix. Mashed potatoes were seasoned well. The coleslaw was more on the savory rather than sweet side which I prefer. Overall great grilled peri peri chicken! The staff were also super friendly and checked up on us throughout our meal.

We got the lemon herb and spicy chicken, and both were incredible. The lemon herb really added a bright, zesty flavor that brought out the marinade. The spicy added the perfect kick without being overpowering, just enough heat to keep you coming back for another bite. You could tell the marinade was spot on and the flavor went all the way through. The meal came with a side sauce, but it honestly wasn't even necessary because the chicken was already so well-seasoned. We also got the potatoes with gravy and spicy rice -- both sides were delicious and paired perfectly with the mains. The staff were super friendly and very helpful, you can tell they love what they do. My family was just driving through, but I would make it a point to stop here again!

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner had some pancakes. The burrito was decently sized tasted fresh and was nice and filling, no complaints there. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

We chose Woody's because our little one wanted mac 'n cheese and they have some of the best in town! I cannot rave enough about the restaurant and how well they handled the party. The booking process was easy and completed via e-mail. This aspect was handy as I didn't have to leave the house or make a phone call on a busy day. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my questions during the booking process. On the day of the party, we showed up a few minutes early to put up some decorations. A waitress and waiter came and greeted us right away. The owner even came by, promptly, and introduced himself to me. The kindess and professionalism was outstanding. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name! I feel terribly that I can't provide it.) did an outstanding job! We were a big group of people and she took all of our orders, answered questions, and helped us with anything we needed. I hope it can be determined who worked that day so she can be given her kudos as she was lovely! Lastly, the kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. I was impressed by their speed and the food was delicious. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't have a chance to say thank you one final time before we left. So, thank you again, Woody's! You guys made the party enjoyable and easy for us. We felt we could take a step back and enjoy our daughter's day! :)

Or maybe they were the peppers/onions that go on the cheesesteak? We did a DoorDash for a work group and with all fees it was a $30 sandwich (menu price $23) but I trashed after 3 bites. I tried, because I do not like to waste, but I couldn't stomach that combo. The side salad was actually great so I ate that, but essentially, $30 for a side salad is no bueno.

For starters we had steamed clams, calamari and meatballs. For our mains we decided on their Bistro Filet Ravioli, which has Ricotta, Romano, Parmesan, and Asiago jumbo stuffed raviolis, creamy alfredo, chili flakes, topped with their signature pan-seared bistro filet tips. It was amazing. We also had their Ribeye steak at about $53.00. I think it was a 14oz hand-cut ribeye, and it had the best butter on it. It came with mashed Yukon potatoes and marinated asparagus. We will be getting all of this again. We were staying in a hotel so took home some great pasta. The service is great. The food is amazing and the place is just so cute and ever so clean.

However, I was extremely disappointed with my entrée. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was so bland I was actually shocked. How could nothing on the plate have any flavor? I added salt and pepper twice and that didn't even help. The vegetables had zero seasoning. The mashed potatoes had huge chunks in them and zero seasoning. The chicken and Marsala sauce, tasteless. I saw so many reviews raving about the chicken Marsala. Maybe they got a new cook because the sauce was basically just heavy cream didn't look anything like other pictures people posted. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good and had lots of flavor but the marinara was also quite bland and the garlic bread was a joke. It was toasted bread with a smidge of butter, no garlic whatsoever. I will not go back for the price. Definitely not worth it. The fried artichokes and salad were good, but the entree is the most important part and they totally dropped the ball. Very disappointing.
