The dressing for the salad had a bit of a kick but they made me another one when I asked and it was perfect (glad I tried it before putting it on the salad) My husband enjoyed the chicken thighs and rice. Wow! Upon entering the restaurant is very clean and we were greeted with a welcome to Mr. Perri Perri's and a smile. This was a first time of many. (I make sourdough with starter at home as well as cook so I'm a picky foodie) This Brisket sandwich was the best I've had. The meat was cooked to perfection. I've never had peri peri chicken before so I didn't know what to expect. Their menu consists of chicken, wings, burgers, salad, gyro, appetizers, sides and drinks. For the chicken, you pick your own flavor/spice level. We went with full platter (whole chicken) with half mango lime and half mild. For our 2 sides, we chose corn on the cob and cole slaw. We also added potato wedges. We grabbed our seats after we placed our order at the counter. Our order was ready around 18 minutes. They called our name and we picked up at the pick up window. Full platter comes with 10 pieces. Mild looked pretty plain but it was super spicy, tasted more like hot. Mango lime was nothing I expected. The flavor was alright but wouldn't get again. Very spicy as well. Chicken was a bit dry but overall, tasted ok. Corn on the cob was a bit burnt. Coleslaw was very creamy. Potato wedges was really good. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Service was friendly. They do offer cups for complimentary water, self serve. Seatings indoor and outdoor. Only one neutral gender restroom for customers. I heard a lot of good things about Peri Peri so I had to give it a try. I must say I was presently surprised. This may be one of the better chicken spots in Redding. The chicken is super moist and very flavorful. I got the Mango Lime and the Mango sauce on the 2 Boneless Chicken Thigh meal. Both sauces were great. Mango Lime was definitely my favorite. Wow! My chicken wings were superb! Some of the best I have ever had in my life. Love the charring first. Even though the wings were flavored wonderfully I did get the mango lime and lemon type sauces which were very tasty. I will get mild next time because these days I cannot do spicy very often. These were just spicy enough. My husband ordered 4 bbq thighs which were huge, by the way, and he said we have to stop here every time we pass through from WA. They pack the chicken do carry out in heat retaining bags so it was still hot when I got home which wasn't for 20-30 minutes. Ambiance was great while I waited for my order- super friendly staff. Tender, juicy, marinated and grilled chicken with the spice that leaves your lips buzzing with the memory of every delicious bite. My son and I both had 1/2 chicken with creamy mash. I added come slaw. Our order was taken y a friendly server who was more than patient and willing to answer any questions we had. It was quickly served with hot juice succulent chicken. I had the very hot sauce that was more than just heat, but had an excellent flavor. Our mashed potatoes were creamy, hot and delicious, served with an excellent gravy. The coleslaw was fresh with delicious mayo dressing. My wife had the Portuguese salad which was a giant bowl of fresh crisp greens, topped with a mound of diced peri peri chicken cheese and their fantastic dressing. The ugly: The ambiance is so absolutely modal strip mall that we assumed it's a franchise. Apparently it's not, but it looks like that's the future the owners have in mind. In sum: It wasn't busy, and one of the workers said it was because the locals are wary of trying new things. Also, it felt like a pretty healthy meal, you just got a bunch of chicken and I did opt for fries but they have interesting sides that would be healthier. I paid around 12 for quite a bit of food. The pricing is very competitive and the portions are large. The service was great, everyone was friendly and the person working the register helped guide me as to which sauce to pick for my chicken.
