I asked the worker for a minute to look up the menu on my phone and she tried to tell me "her manager wouldn't allow me to sit there for one minute to look up the menu - if I needed to see the menu, I could come inside". The chicken must have been kinda folded over when it was fried bc the breading was raw on the inside like the chicken breast was fried while it was folded over. I think the chicken was still raw in the middle as well and I started puking in my lap as I was driving down Gause blvd. when I realized what it was I was eating. It was soooo gross. The last couple of times picking up food the chicken was not good at all. The quality of the chicken has consistently gone down. My guess is they are now using the cheapest, most poorly ‐raised they can buy. Tonight I had a chicken thigh that was rubbery, tough and inedible. The skin seemed raw, although the meat was cooked. A wing was broken up, but fried anyway and served with the bones poking out through the batter. It was disgusting. I don't know if other locations are losing it, but this one has certainly gone downhill. Btw, the fried chicken at the Time Saver kitchen on Gause West is crushin' it! Terrible service, manager and nasty lobby. We ordered from the app inside the restaurant and checked on our food 10 minutes later to see if it was ready, the girl and manager said there was no order for me, I checked my app and showed them the order and went to sit back down. 5 minutes later I walked back up and the manager said someone else got it. I was like, impossible I have been waiting here listening for my name. Long story short, she lied and could not own up to it or even apologize. I was going to walk away without getting my food. I will pursue this with cooperate and the owner to make sure she is fired; I am sure this has happened many times with this manager. It is time the reverse discrimination takes a stand against incompetent hires. I don't go to franchise restaurants anymore because I used to live in towns that only had those options, and now living in an area saturated with local restaurants I am making up for the lost time. That being said, I've always been a fan of Popeyes ever since my first experience in downtown Dhahran, Saudi Arabia of all places. So after seeing all the fuss about their new chicken sandwich, I had to check it out. I went in for a late lunch so it wasn't busy. I was pleasantly greeted and my order was taken promptly. I got my cup of sweet tea and a few minutes later my order was ready, again presented with a very pleasant smile. I picked a random seat in the back and prepared to dig in. I did notice there was a ketchup stain on the table after I sat and considering it was slow, that seemed a little inexcusable so that is why it's a 4-star review instead of 5. Anyway, as far as the food goes, it is a damn good fast food sandwich. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and it was a very respectable size. I ordered the spicy, and while there was some heat, I really like heat so for me there could have been more. The sandwich also includes mayo and pickles which all work well together. My side of red beans and rice is always a winner, so not much to add there. Overall a very enjoyable spot and I will make a point to visit more frequently read more

Worst Popeyes to ever exist. Had a coupon that said to use at Cashier, and when we pulled up to the window, the woman shut the window and proceeded to talk trash about me and my lovely wife when we showed her the coupon. Another decrepit looking woman walked up and told me I messed up the order because I didn't tell them I had a coupon when I ordered. She then complained about having to "re ring up" the order and blamed us for the long line that was behind us. Contrary to this foul mouthed woman, the line was already long when we arrived due to the novel coronavirus and not being able to go inside. After being scolded and yelled at for something that was the sloppy workers fault, we got our food and drove off. After looking in the bag, already distraught form the disservice we received, we were appalled to find out they did not give us our sauce and straw. We angrily drove to the other Popeyes and were told they had sauce, then when we got to the window given attitude and told they did not have sauce. I am livid. We returned to this location and asked for three blackened ranch. Mind you this has already been an hour since we first got into line. We asked for the sauce, and the very kind woman in a blue shirt gave us a bag of sauces. She made our night with the respect and southern hospitality that Popeyes is all about. Thank you ma'am. I love Popeye's so much and that's why I was so disappointed when we came to this location. I read on another review site that it was horrible but being hungry for some chicken the other day, I didn't feel like driving to the Popeye's on Pontchartrain. I ordered two combos and was told to pull into a parking spot while my order was prepared (actually it was mumbled "pull to the first spot and wait" which I barely understood.) So we waited while every other car behind me was told to pull ahead as well, received their food and left. Finally my food came and it was the wrong order. After another 10 minutes, my "correct" order came. Well it wasn't correct but close enough. I just wanted to leave by that point so I took the food and left.
