I wish I could give it a 2.5 star because i was extremely disappointed. First it took 12 minutes from the time I sat down to have the server say she would be with me in a minute. Then another 5 minutes to get her to take my order. The food was really good, but when the person delivered my food, before I could ask for another tea, she was three tables away. Like lightening. When I asked for my check and my go order, the server came back with the check but she had forgot to even put in my go order. So it took another 15 minutes to get that. It took a little over an hour to get a burger and an order to go. As I was sitting there I saw quite a few servers walking around, working, but I did not see ONE SMILE. Went to LongHorn the other night, and while the food was hittin', the service and ambiance could use some work. I had a margarita, and my husband had a Long Island--both drinks were solid. We shared the Wild West Shrimp, which was seasoned perfectly. For dinner, I had the salmon and shrimp with cheese fries and a side salad. My husband got a steak with asparagus, mac and cheese, and a salad. The food was really good, no complaints there. But the service? Not great. We could hear the staff in the back talking for a while before they even came to check on us or take our order. That slowed things down, and it wasn't the best experience. The ambiance wasn't loud, but it smelled kinda funny in there--maybe because it was raining and they've got carpet flooring. It threw the vibe off a little bit. Extremely disappointing, especially for the price. I ordered two surf dips and smokehouse wings, but they only brought one dip and didn't say they were out until we asked. The wings were overly salty, thank God I don't have high blood pressure. They were out of multiple items like salmon and steak mac. After waiting about an hour, I had to ask for my toddler's food, and we were not offered bread. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye cooked medium, and received a cut of meat that was clearly NOT a ribeye (was without question a New York strip or sirloin), and not cooked as ordered. after expressing my feelings, she proceeded to argue with me that I, the paying customer, was incorrect, and the cut of meat was a ribeye. I wanted a steak and since we were on the Northshore already we decided to stop by. I ordered the ribeye medium well and as expected it came out well done. For some reason, it never fails, wherever I go. I ended up with another one to take home but I would have preferred it then, not the next day. Other than that mishap, I had a great loaded baked potato and salad. I think the place needs to be updated. The server was very professional and accommodating. My family and I visited this restaurant on June 23rd. The food was good, but our experience took a turn for the worse when I realized I had left my credit card at the restaurant. I called the restaurant to inform them about the situation and asked about their closing time. They informed me that they closed at 10 p.m., but I arrived at 10:08 p.m. to find that customers were still in the store and the waitress who had served us was on her way out. I mentioned to Lexus, the waitress who had taken our payment, that I was there to pick up my credit card. However, she informed me that the doors were already locked and that I would have to come back tomorrow. Despite the fact that staff, manager, and customers were still present in the restaurant, she refused to assist me. I asked if she could at least call the manager. She called a number but didn't speak to anyone and claimed that she couldn't get anyone on the phone. When ask well how would I get my card, she responded with a nonchalant attitude I don't know what to tell you and walked away. Frustrated, I waited until one customer was on their way out and then walked into the restaurant. While I was waiting on the inside, my husband, who was also upset about the waitress's behavior, called the store from the car. He immediately got the manager and she gave him the same BS excuse and hung up on him. Inside, I approached the first waitress and explained that I was there to pick up my credit card. She went to the back and returned a few minutes later, stating that the manager would be upfront. I waited for about 5-6 minutes, and when the manager finally arrived, she was walking, talking, and had my credit card in her back pocket. I showed her my government ID. She explained she couldn't open the door because it was locked. Despite the fact that there were still customers and staff in the restaurant, she refused to come to the door and simply hand me the card. I questioned her about the safety concerns and why she couldn't come to the door to ensure that no one could enter. I also pointed out that if Lexus had been attacked in the parking lot, she would have needed someone to call for help. Overall, the experience was frustrating and left me feeling that the restaurant was trying to hold onto a government card that didn't belong to them. All seemed shady. Be warned. read more

Went there for the second time today. Walked out the first time due to limited staff after waiting a long time to be seated, with a near empty restaurant. Went back today and was seated in a timely manner. My wife and I ordered. After a lengthy delay, my food was brought out, and the waitress said my wife's salad meal had been dropped and another was being made. Figuring a sale would not take too long to prepare, my wife told me to get started so my meal would not get cold. Needless to say, I ate slow and finished my meal, and the salad had still not come out. My wife told them to forget the whole thing. No effort to offer the salad to go, no manager involvement, no discount. Poor management of a restaurant. Plenty of other meals came out while we waited and I are my meal. Drinks at longhorn are average but the service is cool and pretty funny. Loved the stuffed mushrooms, chicken bites and calamari. Enjoyed the LSU football game on one television and the Ohio state on the other at the bar. Chill evening with two of my girls, even though the drinks were sweet, the evening could be a repeat right where we were. Return visit for lunch wasn't so great. Steak was over cooked and I was really disappointed. Service is always average but what's a girl to do when you don't want to drive far. Now my visit for the salmon proved to be better.
