There were two guys instead of three. They moved very slow and did a poor job packing the truck. We ended up moving a lot of our three bedroom house by ourselves in another truck, because the truck was full. Perhaps they have new employees now, I hope so! We were quoted $1200, and we ended up being over $3,000. We moved less than a mile away. We were charged extra for things deemed "fragile." Despite this overcharge furniture was damaged. We called and sent e-mails as instructed because they claim their are insured, but they never responded back. One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. If I could give 0 stars to this moving company I would've.... They destroyed my furniture and brand new TV. The owner is a CROOK, he had the audacity to tell me to return my TV to the store and inform it was broken to get a replacement. I placed a claim through their insurance, however their insurance is worth , it doesn't cover any damages, in addition they give you a price to move and at it ends up being more. One of the worst experiences of my life, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These guys are bullies and base their business on charging you extras for everything and threaten to take your stuff away if you dont comply. Long story short, they were late and took forever to get my stuff to my other apartment, and then they wouldnt get my stuff out of the truck saying I would have to pay them DOUBLE. I had to call the police twice, they would insult me, threaten me, and not do anything even with the police there and issuing a notice against them. Moved TWO people from one house to another LEFT THE HEAVIEST PIECES at old house and REFUSED to go BACK get all the furniture left at previous house because they finished moving into new hone at 2:30 AM and had a job scheduled for next day! I'm going to write my personal experience with Popeyes and the company's owner Leo, now please do keep in mind that Leo will respond to this review, most likely posting my personal information or something nasty, like he did to other people but that's a risk I am willing to take for the sake of alerting others to go elsewhere. I heard about Popeyes through a friend, and I was there during her move and the movers were great (Leo was not there at her move) ,therefore I decided to book them for my move. I worked with Leo on the phone and he was helpful. He gave me a "set" quote for my move, later on I called to tell him I had to add 3 more items, and he increased the price even though the original quote was "set". On the day of the move I called to inform him that I no longer need to move my sectional couch to the new address as I sold it, and he said that won't change the cost as it is "set" (but when I added more items, he increased the cost and it wasn't set then?) The day of the move came, he came with another guy around 2pm and started banging on the door, came in and started complaining about the amount of items I have, granted I did have a lot of items to move, but most of them (whatever I didn't inform him of, I was going to move myself) which I told him. I said, just move whatever you quoted me for and whatever I have paid for. He kept complaining and counting my boxes and raising his voice at me and my mom who he was especially unpleasant to with phrases such as "I am not done talking" and constantly interrupting and not letting us get a word in. My mom asked him since he no longer has to move a couch, why is moving a few extra boxes an issue, and Leo kept on saying how it is a set price and it doesn't matter that he isn't moving a couch, he won't move any extra boxes (which to be honest makes no sense to me). Then he finally started loading a dolly with boxes that stated "extra fragile" and started throwing them one over the other, and my mom asked him to be more gentle as the boxes are fragile, and Leo said he isn't responsible if anything breaks as he didn't pack the boxes. My question is just because you aren't responsible if something breaks, does it mean you have to break it? Then he walked out of the door, and came back 1 min later stating he no longer wants to proceed with my move, dropped the boxes on the floor and said he is leaving and he will give me my deposit back (making it all sound as if he was doing me a favor). So he left me hanging at 3 pm on the day of my move just because "he didn't like my mother". Then I called to make a complaint, and that's when I found out he is indeed the owner, and I received a text from him which I will attach with this review threatening me with "I know where you work" and pretending he knows the name of my manager. He then also stated, that my mom was drinking and that he didn't like that, which actually blew my mind, because most people when moving have some beer and pizza, and he was hired to move my stuff, not my mom therefore I am very curious how her having a beer was relevant because she is no on his payroll. With all that being said, I hired a very unpleasant, unprofessional "man" to move my apartment, who made it sound as he is doing me a favor the entire time, even though I was paying him, and even though I may have had more things than I was quoted for, there are nicer ways to work with me on figuring it out. Please if you are reading this, do yourself a favor and go with a different company and one thing I did learn is, that the company should come inspect your house/apartment prior to the move for a more accurate quote. read more

Horrible experience. They will give you a price upfront by hour and WILL take FOREVER for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, therefore what would take an hour for any PROFESSIONAL moving company takes them 3. Supposedly you get 3 helpers but reality is 2 of them will be on the phone while one of them does the work. Glad I had two friends to help out because if not , they would've taken 10 hours to move everything (not exagereating at all) . They took 5 hours to put everything in the truck . And it ONLY took ONE hour and 20 minutes to unload the truck thanks to my friends help. They charge for every little detail (wrapping,tape,GAS, putting a cover, and other). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! This maniac was supposed to move my mother today. When she called to ask what time the movers would arrive he started yelling at her telling her there was a window and she should remember he told her that yesterday. When she calmly asked to speak to a manager he said he was the owner and called her a "fucking asshole" and told her not to "fuck with him" because he would get her. My mother is 65 years old and all she did was ask a time. That is horrible for a grown man to treat a woman this way. She got scared after he verbally abused her she said she wanted her money back. He hung up on her. Then she had to go to her bank on top of the stress of moving. He proceeded to keep calling her back asking if "her attitude had changed". Then he started texting her. This man should be ashamed of himself. Also while researching more there are ppl who used the company and he upcharged them after loading. Just do not use this company. Don't keep their word and will destroy your items. Agreed was to show up with 3 people, ended up with 2. Just to calculate that in time is a lot of hours extra that you have to pay for. These extra cost and fees you have to pay before they even open the truck upon arrival. The moving truck had a water leak and lots of boxes and items got wet and rain water was still running out of the boxed in the living room at night. Their response was that they were not responsible for the item in the boxes!!! Lots of items got damaged and destroyed due to not securing the items in the truck which made all fall over. The actual cost was more then twice as agreed on not taken in consideration the cost and lost on the damaged items. If all companies operate like this, it is way better to move yourself and pay friends and family to come and help. read more

Total rip off, they advertise 216 for 3 hours but the charge for everything, they will over charge you at the end for seating around waiting for a so called boss to call while we were paying. One mover just seats inside the truck while we had to do all the work. Don't get fouled. Hire someone else or Soffer the consequences. read more

Last week I spoke with the representative, Leo, about pricing our move to central florida from south florida. I took over an hour going over our inventory list and listening to his explanation about how his company is different. After going through the list, he asked that I email him a final list which I promptly did. In preparing my list later, I had about 8 or so items that were not on my original inventory but were small items. In addition, there were a few items on my original list that I decided not to have them move. In fact, the items I elected not to move were larger than those items not listed. He also told me that he was going to charge me for 65 boxes so even though I only had 35, I did as he asked and listed 65. We had agreed on a price and he used our credit card to make a deposit. When I spoke with him, I told him that I had to have the moving booked because I was going to be out of town for a week before the move. A week later, after returning from being out of town, he called to tell me that the price was going to increase by $700 because of the discrepancy on the items. I told him that I would take those items that were not on the list with me and that he didn't need to worry about those because they really were small and light weight items. Anyway, he offered to refund my deposit which I accepted because I could not afford the additional fees he wanted to charge. This was a major problem for me because I already had the other events surrounding the move booked and now I have to start all over again at a very late date. Also, he spent a lot of time in the first call explaining all of the tricks that movers use to charge you more than their quote so I turned down a lower offer from another mover because I had already made arrangement with Popeyes. Zero not one!!! Nightmare! Horrible service provided by Joseph, one of the partners! After telling him several times my financial concerns, he told me that everything was included and I would spend $630 if the moving would take 7 hours for 3 men moving a one bedroom loft. When the truck got to my new place, they told me that I had to pay and gave me a bill over $1200 for 9 1/2 hours. I was forced to pay otherwise they wouldn't take out my stuff from the truck and I was also forced to sign a contract saying that I had the knowledge of the whole settlement which wasn't true. I payed otherwise it would just take more time and be more expensive since we pay by hour. I called Joseph who was extremely abusive, yelling at me, saying that I was a liar and told me to SHUT UP and hang up on me!!! Then he called his driver to tell me to call when "I calm down" and I felt forced to call him back and hear this bastard yell at me again and be forced to sign that "I misunderstood " the conversation that he's not a liar and he has all the conversation recorded. Seriously? So he could hear when I asked thousand times if I wouldn't pay anything more than that, but the estimate he gave me did not include a lot of things as the 20% of the total for fuel. I moved to a place 3 miles away! That's why he refused to send me a estimate, just sent me a promotion paper saying 2 men for $60 and 3 men for $75. But if I didn't sign he wouldn't give me "a discount" of $200. Nasty man who is abusive to women and has no character!!! After their response: Wow!!!! All false accusations and lies of everything!!! They broke things and I can show the pictures. The truck was never parked far away, in both places the truck parked in front of the houses and I have wisdoms who saw that and they will be glad to call them liars. Since the beginning I told everything I had and I asked for three not two guys. Everything on their response was distorted and more than that they want to attack my character when they are the one extremely abusive! You don't treat a costumer or anyone like this anywhere!!! And now because I complained and told the truth about what happened they sent me an email charging more $200 the "discount" gave to me at the day of the moving after all the humiliation I've been true!!! Men like this probably caused a lot of distress to a lot of women if that's the reason they think they should do a donation!!! They think this is a joke accusing me of use drugs and saying that they are religious!!! This is such a fool answer and couldn't be more appropriate to show you all who they are and be careful with them, never do any business with these people, cause if you complain you will be called a liar and accused you that you are in drugs!!! Stay away of these people!!! He should start praying a lot to get forgiveness of his behaviors in his life , humiliating and talking down to women, being so aggressive, lying and responding with empty accusations!!!
