Fast, friendly, they always get the order right and the food is fresh and delicious! I never have to wait to long in the drive thru either.

quite possibly the worst Popeyes ever. The order was completely wrong first time. Even had the customer in front of me walk back and confront the worker because her order was wrong. This time, "exact change, credit or debit" What the hell? ridiculous....done with them. read more

Actually the 1st popeyes I've been to in my 52 years of living where all of the young ladies were very nice and patient and that's grea6 appreciated, and goes a long way these days. I know they are tired like everybody else, but they were cool. Restaurant was clean, white guy in the back was getting his fry on as well as one of the young ladies. The only issue was the older black guy who stomach was over his pants, his loud red belt was not buckled, and he left out of the door to where they work and came back in, clocked out on the computer, never washing his hands and then he grabbed a bag of fries with his keys in his hands and poured the fries in the fryer. The women were all working, Always remember people are watching ESPECIALLY the ones that eat there. We live nearby, but haven't been here lately. They had several staff members milling around in back. There were a couple kids smoking by the door, which allowed smoke into the restaurant. We ordered what was readily available, so I'm not sure why it took so long to get our food. When we got our order, it was wrong, and some of our chicken wasn't cooked properly. The soda machine was broken, no iced tea, and the place was in need of a good cleaning. I hope they can improve because we like the chain's food. read more

Ordered a three piece whole wing combo. I was advised that it was exact change only or credit card. At the window she said they were unable to make change for cash payment. I guess math is too hard. $9.21 was the total. After getting the bag containing the order, I checked the contents because it felt pretty light. The wings were very small. I don't ever remember getting wings anywhere else that were this small. I stopped at Dierberg's and got two wings from the Deli to compare ($1.99 ea.). Check the photos for comparison but the Dierberg's wing was about the same weight as the three Popeye's wings combined. Final note: The clerk never spoke after receiving payment. She handed me the bag and drink with no eye contact or a "thank you". There were no napkins or plastic wear in the bag. read more

We like Popeyes chicken but this location has to be the among the worst locations in the chain. My wife and I have tried this restaurant a few times (with large pauses on between each visit), hoping that the service would improve next time. It never has. Each time the order was incorrect in some way. Wrong/missing sides, not spicy when that was what we ordered, etc. Never once did we ever hear a thank you or even a total at the drive up speaker. One time we went to get a family pack of chicken and we were told they didn't have any bone-in chicken. How does a chicken place not have chicken?! Another time they did have chicken, but the chicken was cold and dried out. The final time, we ordered online. Don't -ever- order online from this place. The lobby wasn't open and we had about an hour wait in the drive thru... for 3 cars ahead of us! They already had our money, so we couldn't just pull out of line and go somewhere else. If we ever go back to Popeyes, it will definetly not be at this location. read more

Only 2 star because food was good and 2 ladies working were kind. Tgey were out of Coke and Dr. Pepper. There was 1 employee watching the TV and watching what he wanted and kept stopping it when he would walk away and talking to it. He would get up and walk around behind the counter and come back to watch tv. Mom went into the bathroom and said no toilet paper and trash can hadn't been changed in a while. I'd never been here before and I was getting red beans and rice for a sick family member--his request! The drive-thru was quick and easy. I wasn't familiar with a bunch of new items but the worker at the intercom didn't rush me. I went ahead and ordered wings for myself, too. Food came out quickly and with a smile. This was my first time trying this location and did I make a mistake. I normally frequent the Popeyes at 4103 First Missouri Credit Union Dr. (near I-55 & Butler Hill). They were like night and day. I ordered a chicken sandwich at the drive thru and was promptly told that "We're out of chicken sandwiches". I then ordered an eight piece nugget . The cashier asked what dipping sauce do I want. I replied Ranch. No thank. No please pull around to the window. Just a curt " Pull around" Upon paying for the order and receiving the bag of food I looked inside and saw no dipping sauce or napkins. I asked about the forgotten ranch dressing and again got, "We're out". I then drove away vowing to myself to never return to this location. I realize times are tough for businesses trying to obtain competent help now. However whoever orders the food for sales clearly is falling short on their responsibilities. And as a representative of the Popeyes organization this cashier is sorely lacking in people skills. first time ever at this location . last time ever at this location . ordered 3 thighs meal deal and red beans and rice . rice and mashed potatoes were good but the chicken was the worst ive ever had . cut into one thigh was over cooked looked like it was fried twice, dry and tough in some parts and some it just fell apart in shreds dried up no juices left , the skin was like crispy shoe leather and had absolutely no flavor but grease from frying. would have been better off throwing my money away. 14 bucks and some change. just wondering whats up wth popeye's they used to be great . read more

Since we moved into the Lemay area, we have had to switch to this Popeyes because it's the closest if we want Popeyes. We have been there three times now and all three times they've gotten our order wrong. Today I went through the drive-through and I ordered three pieces and specified the exact pieces. I wanted and I wanted them spicy. She got it wrong on the screen and I corrected her. When I got to the window I was very specific again about which pieces I wanted and she said yes sir we got it. Well, they got it wrong (wrong pieces and not spicy) and I got soggy stale french fries, which I did not order on the side. I ordered mashed potatoes. The only thing I can think of is that they are getting the orders wrong on purpose. That is the only way to explain this level of ineptitude. read more

Let me just say that I love Popeyes chicken, but this location is dismal. They've always been out of everything I want to order, no matter when I've gone, and the staff is always very rude. I don't go to this location anymore even though it's 4x closer to my house. I am surprised it's so bad because this location is fairly new. I think they need to consider a management change. I did the online order and sat in the drive thru line for an HOUR at the Popeye's, 9501 Gravois Rd., Affton, Mo. location (while 3 employees stood outside smoking and talking), several cars left while I was waiting (those that were at the back and not trapped in the part that has concrete barriers so you are trapped and cannot leave! I finally got my food after sitting an hour in the drive thru and when I comment on the wait I was given attitude! Got home and of course things were missing! Worst Customer Service Ever! read more

Waited in line at the drive thru for 30 minutes just to make it to the ordering station. Exasperated by the experience, I drove away.

Stopped in here last Friday to pick up some fish sandwiches and shrimp tackle boxes. I was the only customer in the place. There were 3 employees standing around. Got my order to go. When I got home the sandwiches were soggy, but even worse, the Shrimp Tackle Boxes contained shrimp only, no fries, no biscuit. What a rip-off!!!!! I will NEVER stop here again. Been to this location 2 times. 2 times too many. Got 3 chicken strips, 2 rice and beans, which was the best part of everything I got, including fries I did not order and no sauce that I asked for. Reading the other reviews for this place, you might think it's a conspiracy. It's not. The chicken was so dry on the ends, the coating they put on them was hard as a rock. We pulled up to the place and my dad tried to order a chicken sandwich and the rude lady who we could barely understand goes on to say they were out of chicken filets. So next we orders chicken strips. After our order is done she say. Oh yeah we just changed our grease it's going to be a 20 minute wait. The girl taking orders could not here anything. We asked about something and she assumed that was what we were getting and that was all we wanted. She then side she already sent the order before asking if we would like anything else. We got to the window and remembered we never told her we wanted it all spicy so we asked to make sure we were getting what we wanted. She then told us that she put it in 1/2 and 1/2 like we asked .... no i just asked about it so we asked to make sure the food came out all spicy she said she can't the order is already in..... what? She then told us we would have to wait if we wanted our food correct so we pulled up as instructed and not 2 seconds later she walks out the door with the food. Ultra slow service, when available. The restaurant has taken a dive that I can't see it recovering from. Receipt-less cash register for over a month, filthy store, signs and building in disrepair. When the awesome chicken arrived 20-40 minutes after order you remember why you continue to suffer for the food. But if there was any competition, they wouldn't exist. Horrible service! After waiting in the drive thru for 10 min and I get to the intercom to order, they tell me to hold, no please or any politeness. Then a few minutes later come back and tell me that they are closed for 15 minutes, no explanation or anything. I don't understand how you even run a business like this. If I could've given zero stars I would have. For starters of all the fast food restaurants I have gone through this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received or not received. I have frequented this particular restaurant out of convenience but I can no longer continue giving my business to this place. Not only is the customer service terrible but the wait times are extensive. And even then they never seem to have any chicken. How can you run a chicken restaurant without any chicken. Lastly whether they have chicken or not I have also been told multiple times that they are closed for 20 mins only to return and be told they don't have what I want. Went there 3 times and only once it was ok . Had to return food 2 of the 3 times because of dry overcooked food and getting my order wrong . The last time I went I called because of both of these reasons and they put me on a free replacement meal list , not telling me I had 48 hrs to redeem , so they didn't give me my meal then hung up on me and wouldn't answer 3 other times I tried to call back . This restaurant is under abysmal management. I have been sitting in the drive thru for over 30 minutes trying to pick up an online order. I intended and requested in store pick up only to be told upon arrival that they that option was impossible due to under staffing. As I sit in the drive thru line I have watched two employees take smoke breaks and two employees playing on their phones away from the kitchen near the door. Having worked in food service myself I know that it is a cardinal rule not to take a break during the dinner rush. Never go to this restaurant!!! read more
