They do not offer current releases, back issues only. It's a great use of a small space, packed to the gills with Funko Pops, action figures, and other toys. The art design in the store is beautiful with a life sized sculpture of Poison Ivy, posed in a jungle of greenery greeting you when you walk in the front door. The grand opening was fun, with the 501st Legion in attendance and lots of cosplayers. Ivy's Hideout is a welcome addition to the geek culture that is alive and well in Downtown Petaluma along with other stores like Goblin Bros and Nostalgia Alley. Check 'em out and support a local business.

The reason for the 3 stars is the feeling the staff give. There is now a receipt checker at the door and when you are in the checkout area you are watched like a hawk for theft. With both a main floor and downstairs area, and great customer service and knowledgeable store staff, this is a wonderful bookstore to visit. On top of that, they are very supportive of local authors. I know because my wife, Annie Fox, now has her books in the store. They have an ongoing program of author Meet & Greets, where you can talk to a local author and buy a signed copy of their book. Of course, they can also order any edition of in-print books for you, in case you don't want to feed a certain massive online bookstore. Support your indie bookstores!

It had little dark blue fish on the base. I might be breaking some unknown color rules, who knows? I thought about that lamp for weeks. And went back and bought it. Not much more than I'd pay at World Market or Target, honestly, but more charming. I'm so glad I did. I'll be back - they're within walking distance of home and have lots of lovely items. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Did I mention how much I love my lamp with its little fish pattern?

Came in for the first time on Saturday with my daughter as she was looking for something specific…read more Oh man, the minute we walked in the stench about knocked us on the floor!! It smelled like really really bad body order! Another customer actually said to us that it always smells this way inside the store. The smell was so bad that we just about did an about face and left but we didn't. Instead we looked for the items she was hunting for, couldn't find it and then flag down an employee. The employee was very nice (someone who actually knows the definition of customer service which is very rare these days). She said they ran out of the item but when they are in stock they are stored up front with the cashiers. Then she asked us to wait a minute as she wanted to double check that they were out of stock, whicch they were. The store is very open and spacious, lots of items, organized and you can actually find employees to ask questions. Lot's of items, great for wanting to get a lot without spending a ton of money. Good customer service.

When I began to leave I heard her tell a group of boys that she had "saved" a few for them and to not tell "the lady in the front". I waited from 9:30 to 10am in the front of the store until they opened and she let these guys in at 9:45., Then locked the door. I was prepared to spend up to 500.00 on my brother's birthday present. Needless to say I'd NEVER shop here. She should go back to her parents basement where she belongs. Worst experience ever!
