The kind of toy store that is inviting you to touch everything. So many interesting toys as well! Stimulating stuff, indoor and outdoor, intelligently arranged. I loved the science sets, and the little kid versions of cricket bats and javelins. When you walk in, there's a giant spherical ball maze that I could have spent hours on. read more

There is a older male which is very unprofessional. I was near the art section and over heard the male in the back yelling in front of all the customers at one of his employees, a very nice young woman. My daughter was crying very badly we had to leave! He had followed us outside after and accused us of stealing! I had continuously tried to explain that wasn't true he threatened us multiple times to call the police after showing him proof that we had nothing! i would give this place zero stars if i could! read more

Super sweet staff, toys, set up, everything. You can find pretty affordable deals if you explore the store. I believe it is a smaller business so supporting it is a plus. LOVE their puzzles I got. And I'm going to be 22 on my next birthday yet I can honestly say that they have some of the highest quality slime around. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming. And they are extremely kind and respectful. I wish I wasn't broke because I have started quite the collection of puzzles from you guys. They are some of my favorite things. This is one of the best toy shops I have ever been to in my life! It has a great assortment of toys of all kinds and for all ages. There are a lot of interesting toys that I have never seen before, which is fun. And they have the classics like Lego and Melissa & Doug. I love this store! We were drawn inside because of the giant perplexus puzzle and awed by their depth of engaging toys. My 2 year old was drawn to their building tables and entertained while we looked around. This toy store is nestled downtown and has an adorable Lego soldier "standing guard" out front. I brought my husband here - mostly with our nephews in mind - partly for him. We walked from the back of the store through to the front. Shelves are lined with plush dolls, small toys, stuff you can build, animals you can dress, and more awesome toys - even some I recognized from childhood! There were children's art supplies, a Rube Goldberg setup out back, and a balance bicycle in the window (a bicycle with no pedals, for toddlers). It was full of greatness and a lot of fun to walk through! We didn't buy anything for our nephews (we already have their Christmas gifts) but this would be a great place to shop for any little ones in your life. read more

We were visiting from out of town and found this toy store. None of us wanted to leave. We got to know the staff, they demonstrated the cool toys for us, we even came back again!! Of course we bought some awesome toys. The reason I would give them 10 stars if I could is that my daughter lost one of the little critters she bought at the Toyworks. She was very upset to put it mildly. Jonathan at the shop found another one for her, and we arranged to have him ship it. I even got two because she loved it so much, I figured she could give one to her friend. The compassion and understanding this showed really made me fall in love with Toyworks even more. Our family happened in here while the 4-year-old and daddy were finishing up their ice cream cones at Screamin' Mimi's down the street. I took the toddler for a walk, and came upon this wonderful, fun, lovely toy store. Why is it that only smaller towns have toy stores like this? The layout was friendly to kids and adults both, with play tables in a few areas with different play sets out... so grown-ups can look over the options while keeping one eye on their little one. Great, GREAT selection of good quality, worthwhile toys (Plan Toys, Play Mobil, Ryan's Room, Melissa & Doug, etc.), thoughtfully organized. I was pretty much in heaven. Love this store! They have a great edited selection of quality toys. It is the only toy store where I could tell my kids to "Pick Anything", and feel confident that they would choose something that doesn't make me want to cringe. They have great educational toys, imagination toys and even outdoor toys....and of course are pleasantly absent of violent toys and barbies. Happy!! I'm also pleasantly surprised when I find a bargain on something. I like shopping here, I have shopped here for 10+ years! Great toy selection, helpful staff, and lovely little community toy store. They are very cool about kids touching toys, running around, etc. But I ask for only one thing. After I buy $200 worth of toys and you already run my credit card don't just leave the toys on the counter. I had to ask for a bag. Then I was charged .10 cents for the bag. Then because my card was already ran I had to search around in my bag for a dime. My recommendation is that you build the cost of the bags into the price of your products in some way? Then you can just bag up the toys? You could use eco-freindly bags and anyone who does not want a bag can ask you not to bag. Or at the very least the staff needs to learn to ask "would you like a bag for .10 cents more?" prior to running the transaction. read more

Best toy store in Sonoma County- hands down. I'm always amazed when I go into Toyworks at the awesome stuff they have and remember I need to go there more often. What separates them is not only do they have great stuff, but it's all great stuff. There's no crap to be found anywhere. And it's not like everything is super expensive either. You can get something good for less than 5 or 10 bucks. I only wish the Santa Rosa store was still around, but it's worth a drive to Sebastopol. read more

At first I thought they were going out of business because the store seemed empty & changed, however I guess they did a remodel? Regardless, the selection has become limited, they have plenty of games & interests for older kids but the age group for 5-8 is limited. They don't have much for girls, a simple doll would be nice. No barbies or similar type of toys. Disappointed, they used to have dress up outfits & such. Bummer. Guess I'll be traveling to Santa Rosa for kids birthday presents. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I was shopping for a baby shower gift and I asked my parents to pick something up locally. The person working today was late and opened the store late. He had bad customer service and spoke to them with a lack professionalism. Before he even opened the door he insisted that my dad tell him what he wanted to buy. Why? My dad hadn't even seen what the selection of items inside. I feel bad about this experience because I specifically asked my parents to shop there. I am not sure if this interaction is the norm there? Whatever the reason...rudeness is not acceptable. We all have bad days, but I will not patronize this store again, nor will I encourage my friends to. Good selection of toys especially playmobil. Good prices. However service is spotty. My 3 year old son needed to use the restroom and they directed us to a public one down the street. I'm pretty sure they have an employee bathroom somewhere. If you cater to kids you should be prepared to share your restroom with little ones who may not make it down the street. read more
