What a beautiful day to sit outside and Pop's has a great location! This was recommended to us and we're glad we stopped. Got a table near the water, and service was great. Fun place. Gave it 4 stars because when we went to order the nachos which are $15.50 and if you add shrimp they're 18.50 according to the menu.... but then they tell you they're actually 25.50. When we talked to "a manager"... she's said she's had to explain it to "at least 150 people".... they need to get the menus changed. If you've dealt with it that many times, why not do something about it?! Sticker perhaps. There were only 7 shrimp on it. Otherwise it was good. So just ask if the price advertised is the actual price of the item. ;) read more

Delicious food as always, we got onion rings, 2 fried fish baskets, and a grouper Reuben with a side caesar salad. The onion rings were ready quick, all nice and beer battered, and that sauce they come with is divine, they just need to give way more of it, like 4x as much as what's in the pic. The fish was good, but I wouldn't get it again, not seasoned enough and fish wasnt flakey enough for me, too tough. The fries and coleslaw were good, tartar sauce was meh, the caesar was big for just a side salad, and the grouper reuben was perfect. Oh yeah, we'll be back. read more

We had a very nice dinner with my son for Mother's Day. We made reservations so we did not have to wait wrong. I had the teriyaki salmon dinner with a side Caesar salad because I found out the string beans. Have bacon on them. My son had a hamburger which he said was cooked very well. read more

We LOVE Pops for brunch! The tiki bar with the beautiful blue water view has become a favorite for Sundays! The Bloody Mary is my favorite beverage for brunch here! We go for brunch almost weekly now with our best friends! Many of our favorite Venice locals show up as well! The service is always great and fast and the food is delicious! My neighbor wanted to take me out to dinner for playing chauffeur! I have been several times but this was her first and she loved it. The Rum Runners are the best I have had in Florida and baby they pack a punch. I have been to the outside tiki bar but not the newer raised tiki bar/restaurant part. I was super impressed with the waterfront restaurant tables with the beautiful inter coastal views. The food is always amazing. The nightly special was surf and turf which was delectably delicious. The presentation was 5 quality. Service was OK. The gift shop has a wide variety of cute things. I live in the area now and will definitely come back read more

I didn't realize my original review from July would disappear, so here it is above this October 26th review. July 2023 The only reason this gets two stars is the view; we got to watch dolphins our entire lunch. Service was abysmal and the food was mediocre. One would think that a seafood restaurant would know how to cook seafood. The fish and chips were over cooked, chewy and had very little flavor. Service you ask? We were seated around 3/330 the restaurant was barely even a quarter full. And we waited and we waited for someone to come over and I counted six servers, all standing not far from our table just chatting and then I looked over again as we still waited and then there were seven our waitress finally came over after they saw me looking and trying to figure out why no one was helping us. I had to ask twice for a water, and she actually never even asked us how our food was even when I left over half of it and when she asked me for a box, & I said no. The lemons fell apart in your hands while you squeezed them. They were so mushy and should never have gone out to a customer; and the tartar sauce... I would venture to guess that it came from a jar and that they didn't make it there because that was not restaurant-quality tartar sauce. I know because I worked in seafood restaurants for 10 years and I can make it at home better and fresher All in all, if you want a great view and probably good cocktails head over here; if you want really good food and service, don't bother. October 26, 2023 UPDATE NEVER AGAIN. I was so embarrassed that our out-of-town guests had to experience this. We didn't even bother to get food this week because the service was so bad in the bar and an especially RUDE bartender. We left and ate at Briandi's. Another customer was at the bar trying to get the bartender's attention...it was NOT busy. After several attempts she finally rudely said...I heard you I'm busy. read more

Are here with a very large party and everything was exceptional! Our server was prompt and fun. All dishes arrived at the same time and were perfect! Excellent service, excellent food and excellent drinks. Even the parking was good.... (it was a slow day).

Enjoyed music and a great meal here. Music was a little loud but overall a fun spot for friends or family. Our server was very kind despite being very busy and maybe a little overwhelmed . While we waited for a table, we ordered drinks from the bar and mozzarella sticks. My family enjoyed that. Once seated, we had gluten free quesadillas, fish tacos, chicken Caesar wrap, and two kids meals. Everything was delicious and as always, I appreciate gluten free options! Came here for the first time, and was really impressed with the fun atmosphere of the outdoor dining and tiki bar. Sadly, I didn't want to wait an hour for a seat, but we were able to be seated immediately inside, which was air conditioned, and still overlooked the water. The food was good, we started with the Shrimp Rangoon which I'm told is a favorite, and it was quite good. I did the Fresh Catch of the Day, which was the Wahoo. I was really happy with it, it was cooked perfectly, wasn't too much, and very meaty. I would definitely come back, but I think i would try waiting for a outside table. We just finished going to the beach and we were really hungry. We found this waterside restaurant and decided we should check it out. This restaurant did not disappoint! Would have been a 5 star but the seafood boil... was completely bland. I asked for extra old bay after it was served to me. They brought out some kind of seasoning but it was not old bay. Solid four stars for me. The view is great, the vibe is great, but the food is mediocre. We came for dinner and the place is always jammed - it seems people come here primarily for the bar. There are quite a few tables, but the bar here is always packed. Service is always good, but the food - and we have tried a few different entrees - is not worth the price. This trip the best of the bunch was the swordfish entree - the fish was just ok, but the brussel sprouts were really good. The worst part was the grilled grouper sandwich - no taste and both sandwiches our group ordered, the roll seemed old - tasteless and falling apart. We finally learned our leases on and will just come here for drinks and maybe a couple appetizers. The vibe is fun and the crowd is always friendly. Skip the food and enjoy the bar. Parking is always tough here, even with a huge lot a short walk away. Worth an Uber if you aren't too far away. read more

Food was good, but they definitely shouldn't have a "reserve a table" option here on yelp because they don't take reservations. Even getting your name on the list doesn't matter, you only get on the list when you arrive. We made a 7:30 reservation and then waited over an hour for a table and were rudely told that they don't take reservations. Obviously they do take them, they just don't honor them read more

Amazing experience, amazing food, amazing view!! We were seated quickly and waited efficiently. My pina colada was the best i've ever had, and my coconut shrimp appetizer was the best i've ever had as well!! This resultant is very pricy so be prepared for that, but other than that, 100% worth the trip read more
