We decided to surprise my husband on his birthday and my son and I came up with Popstroke and then a place for dinner. Popstroke is a really beautiful little putt putt course. Lots of trees and just nicely laid out. Our 2 year old grandson loved it. I have been to a lot of mini golf courses around Tampa and Pinellas County that are more kid friendly and what I mean by the is they have adventure thymes. I am in no way saying this is not a good place for kids it just seems more adult oriented. The price isn't bad, $30 for all day. You can go to one course leave and come back and play the harder course. Service was excellent at the front desk. I didn't get the young ladies name but she helped me with keeping it on the down low that my son was coming with my grandson. We had a great time. The courses are fun. My son and husband had 3 beers each and me and my grandson had ice cream. The price for all that wasn't bad either at $42. Go to a concert or game or even Busch Gardens and 1 beer is $14 or more. Went to Pop Stroke and it was the best mini golf experience I have had. The course was actually challenging and very well maintained. It definitely felt like a Tiger Woods golf course. We played with Taylor Made golf balls and they had decent putters too, which made it even nicer. The course was beautiful, though I wish it was not so close to the highway. The staff was quick, friendly, and very nice. They have QR codes where you can order drinks on the course and they bring them out to you. Once you pay for your day pass you can play as many times as you want. The food is good and they also have ping pong, corn hole, and other games, which are fun to do for a break between putts. PopStroke was so much fun! I didn't know it existed until a friend invited me and it was a blast! There are 2 mini golf courses to choose from and I think we chose the easy one? But not sure. It was still challenging and so fun! I wasn't hungry so didn't eat or drink anything but water, but go hungry next time because the food options and the bar look like a super chill and delicious spot to kick back and hang out on a date night or with a group of friends or family. Came about 2hrs before closing and there was no line at the front counter. We checked in and was in the green within 10mins. It felt pretty laid back, and people heavily drinking while playing. With the app, the servers are able to deliver drinks to you at the hole you're at -- it was super convenient. The area is very clean, has trash cans everywhere, as well as tables and benches. There is even a bar in the green in the middle of all the holes. The only reason one star is gone, is that though it was close to closing time and not that crowded, we still ran into a ton of bottlenecks. Larger groups that were throwing the golf balls or taking photos. Not *that* big of a deal, but caused for most of our time to be spent standing around waiting. We tried to skip the holes that had backups, but everyone had the same idea so most would be taken. So I can't imagine how backed up it could get during the day or earlier in the evening. Oh, there is also a bar, restaurant, ping pong tables, and other games in the main building. We didn't play those, but also another activity here. First time visiting this place. Had it on our date night list for a while and with the cool temps, it was the perfect time! Staff was friendly from the entrance. We did wish that someone would have explained to us the process when it comes to payments and ordering food a bit more patiently. It can be confusing for someone not used to this way of managing that part. The payment process: you pay at the entrance to get inside. That gives you access for the whole day and lets you play golf and any of the side games. Then, once inside, you have to pay for all food and drinks separately. This is managed via a revolving tab. There are QR codes around the entire area that you can scan and then order anything you want. The tab adds up and you're expected to check out by the end of the day. You will have no dedicated servers assigned to you and you will pay tip off of the final day's tab, not to any particular server. Food was ambitious, but it looks and sounds better than it tastes. The recipes have potential, but whoever's cooking it can't really execute them with the quality that they appear to have. For example, the chicken wings had a good flavor, but they were not at all crispy. Kinda soggy. Wife had a burger and she seemed to really enjoy it. We ordered a quinoa and arugula salad. It was delicious but the amount of arugula was ridiculous for a $15 salad. Unlimited refills the whole day, no matter where in the facility you were... that was nice. We played several rounds of table tennis. Very fun. Lots of spaces to hang out, eat, drink, or play. Fun vibes all around! The gold itself was surprisingly entertaining, even through it didn't have all the goofy themed stuff that miniature golf spots usually have. PopStroke wasn't super busy on this particular Friday. We sat down to order dinner before we did our round of golf. You can order on an app or through one of the bartenders. The eating area wasn't super busy, so the bartender was around quick. Everyone was friendly that we dealt with. We both got signature cocktails. I got an Old Fashioned. My wife got a fruity, tasty drink. For dinner, my wife got a salad with chicken on it and I got the chicken tender dinner plate. The food was reasonably priced and seemed to be a more elevated bar food. The chicken tenders were quality, well cooked and came with a side of fries and steamed vegetables. My wife enjoyed her salad too. After eating, it was off to golf. The golf courses were busier with kids running every which way. Most of the people were playing through as you should though. It wasn't chaotic or anything. We never felt rushed either and play seemed to flow pretty well. There are two courses to choose from. We chose the more challenging one. I like to described this mini golf experience as a mature one. No gimmicky pirates or water falls. Just a miniature version of an actual golf course with sand traps and different to navigate grading. I had high hopes for this place but it does quite meet expectations. We have had two parties here and I actually do not recommend "reserving" a party because you don't get anything for it. They tell you you'll get a dedicated server but it's all bs. No one pays attention to you especially for a kids party. Our adult party was slightly better but not much. The food and drinks are fine but nothing too exciting and overpriced. The best part is the giant screen you can watch while playing golf so if they have your favorite sports teams game on while playing golf, that's pretty fun. But other than that, it's just putt putt. A lot of people on the course are taking it way too seriously and slow things down so that's kind of lame. I've never seen the app work. We arrived at 11:30AM on a Friday, not busy at all. We only played 18 holes which took a little over an hour. Note to self it best to play first thing in the morning or early evening. Wear sunscreen. The $30 pass is for an entire day which you can play, leave and come back later at night and play. I was impressed with the food. We had the burger, Korean BBQ tacos, Chimichuri Steak and ahi Tuna w chips. Everything was executed well and was flavorful. They provide iced cold towels on the course and you can order drinks via app. The course is turf on a hot sunny day can be a bit brutal. Really solid place to go for mini-golf! I love how it is modeled after a legit golf course instead of one more catered for children. The inclusion of sand traps, etc really makes for a challenging experience that helps to increase your putting skills. I love how there's cooler located around the course with cold towels to help cool off on hot days, free water, and the fact that you pay one price and can you have unlimited play for that day. This is a great place for a group outing thanks to excellent staff and a fantastic ambiance and location. I just wish there was slightly more tree coverage since during the summer, the sun and heat can get pretty extreme. But other than that, fantastic place to go! :) read more

So finally made it out to see what the rave was about and can't see any rave or hype. What I will say they do have is an ambiance for golfers who want to put around some holes. An ice cream parlor, you can say a step shy of being an arcade restaurant. You have to wait for the hostess to seat you but have to download their app to order your food (makes no sense). I think it's their way of avoiding controversy on why the food is taking so long to come out. Now once we get past the app ordering and paying upfront (yes you have to pay upfront) the waiting process begins. You can pay extra for miniature golf or you can play foosball or table tennis. Our children had the mozzarella sticks and fries kids were happy but I didn't get a chance to taste it. My wife had the Korean steak Tacos I will say it wasn't bad but not Korean-style steak. I ordered the jerk chicken Tacos and didn't taste that Jamaican-style jerk, it was off. The side of rice and beans wasn't bad it tasted Spanish-style with the right seasoning. The chimichurri sauce was heavy on the oily side. Since you use the app no one comes to check up on you. The overall experience is this, the way of the old ways when humans interact with one another are slowly dying. The apps will be the way where restaurants make you pay upfront to avoid any risk. It is now you pay at your own risk. Hopefully, the food steps up, and this place can survive, but without the gimmicks, I don't see the run lasting more than 3 years starting from today. Food is pretty decent. Everything indoor/outdoor so if it's cold outside there is no place to eat inside. The many is pretty extensive. But you have to download an app to just order food. They have waitstaff but they are not really attentive and not many of them, so it's more as "order yourself, they bring your food, and pay 18% tip for who knows who". I guess you can choose not to pay a tip but it's customary to do so. Portions are very large. We had ahi tuna and hummus platter. Food is decent, not amazing. I also had tacos (fish). We had a great time trying out PopStroke! We came during the week of spring break, which could have been risky with all of the students being off. But we had no problem because we came right at opening! We had a good time and got two rounds in before the crowds started to come. What's nice about this location is the variety of things it offers: food, drinks, desserts, corn hole, dedicated children's playground, seating area, and of course two 18-hole putting courses. Ordering food is easy using the app. They have some creative cocktails and milkshakes. It's not 5-star entrees but it will do the job. The putting course is great for families and friends. They do have daily specials such as ladies night. I like that they have iced washcloths to cool you down as you maneuver the course. Very thoughtful! Each hole is different and has the par listed so you know what you need to be at the top of the electronic leaderboard. There's a bar in the middle of the course. Oh yeah there are two courses to choose from. The price is comparable to the other place and they have many discounts available. There's a restaurant and ice cream shop so you can spend the whole day there. One price and you can be play all day or leave and come back later with your receipt. Ok y'all let me give you all the deets on PopStroke. It's $30 a person to play the course. There are 3 courses (easy, medium, and hard). They are all 19 holes each. They do give you a taylormade golf ball that you get to keep. The course itself was fun even if you're not a golfer. It's pretty realistic to a real golf course with fake little sand pits and all. There is a bar in the middle of the course which is cool. They also have drink cup holders at every hole which I thought was very thoughtful. Yes there is no shade it's not bad going on the non summer months. For the food it was just ok. I had the mahi Cesar salad. It was lacking some seasoning/flavor but i still ate it. Someone I was with had the chicken tenders with rice and beans. They also said that was lacking tremendous seasoning. I came here on Sunday with a big group of family to celebrate a birthday. We arrived around 2-2:30, and it was pretty busy. It was everyone's first time going so we had to take some time to figure it out. They told us they sell day passes for the venue, which of course has the mini golf along with other activities like ping pong and corn hole and a playground for children. The people working the front were very helpful explaining everything and then we got a table in the dining section. We went out to the course in different groups and some stayed back at different times to eat too. The food looked decent. I didn't eat much but I was happy to see at least one vegan option. I tried the hummus which was pretty good! Others enjoyed their burger and some apps but said the chips tasted stale. Overall it was a good experience. Nothing special to me and I would argue overpriced, hence the 4 stars. But we spent 4-5 hours there so ended up being worth it I would say. Went to PopStroke on Thursday afternoon with a group of my coworkers and had a great time! I had a few of the jalapeño margaritas (which were okay) and my friends all had beers. We were able to get through a game of 18 holes on the red course in about an hour, and I would only consider myself an amateur putter I wish there were more shaded areas, as it was pretty hot but that's to be expected in Florida!
