First timer. FYI, they don't sell individual bagels. Smallest order is three bagels and a pot of smear for $13 to go. No seating, and no bagels made to order. Not impressed with these bagels. They are really soft, fluffy and on the smaller side. For some people that is their preference, but not for me. As a native NY'er I like a firmer bagel with a good chew. I will not be back. So proud PopUp Bagels started in CT. I used to preorder bagels all the time when they sold the bagels out of a little garage(?) in Westport, CT! Their bagels are still the best. They come out perfectly hot - when you rip it in half, it's steaming on the inside! I also love their scallion cc - it's whipped so it's easy to dip into! read more

OMG! Is this what a bagel should taste like? Just delicious. I am pleasently surprised. I've been driving by this location for months and finally stopped in. The worker greeted us immediately. I told her it was my first time visiting. She explained the bagels are sold in packs of 3, 6, and 12 with a butter or cream cheese spread tub. I took a minute to review the menu before making my selection. As I waited, I saw the other two workers preparing more bagels by boiling then baking them. They would yell "fresh bagels". I ordered one plain and two everything bagels with scallion cream cheese. They had leftovers of last week's truffle butter. The cashier graciously allowed me to try it at no charge. The bagels are light and airy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Both the spreads were just so yummy. I just can't rave enough about the taste and texture of the bagels. The flavor of the spreads and the great customer service received. I can see myself stopping in frequently since it's in my local community. read more

Pop up bagels definitely lives up to the hype! The staff here is great and it's a very well oiled operation. You can only order bagels in sets of 3, 6 and a dozen but you can mix and match. Schmears are also on the side and the scallion cream cheese was delicious. We got everything bagels along with brown sugar butter and the cream cheese. Bagels were hot and fresh and we loved them. So chewy and delicious! There is some outdoor seating but looks like most people just order to go. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare so just park on the street and walk over. Note - The only annoying part of picking up bagels here during peak times is the fact that some customers aren't courteous and don't understand the concept of "excuse me" when you're trying to leave this very tiny bagel shop -- but don't let that ruin it for you! Finally got to try pop-up bagels and went to the location Fairfield. Beware the parking lot here is ridiculously bad. It's kind of annoying that you can't get single bagels here and can only get in packs of three which is included with cream cheese. Very unique and awesome concept as they have fresh bagels every few minutes. You can see why sometimes the line is long and take a while because some flavors may run out while they wait for fresh ones to pop out. Got the everything bagel here and it was delicious. Also got the truffle butter and that was amazing and delicious. I wish they gave the butter at room temp instead of being ice cold as it was hard to spread the butter on the bagels. I can't wait to be back to eat more of these bagels. read more

The best bagels, period. I grew up having bagels from Brooklyn bakeries, which were divine. These come the closest I've ever found to recapturing that magic from when I was a child. They're crispy on the outside, soft yet not doughy in the middle, and covered in seeds and flavor. The special cream cheeses and butters are nearly always a huge hit. This week I was surprised at how delicious the pimento cream cheese was, and the brown sugar butter was excellent too. Together they created a delicious swirl of sweet, salty and spicy. I've been going to the Westport location for years since they opened, and I'm excited to say that the Fairfield location is just as good. If it wasn't clear, I love this place - if you need a bagel (or 12), PopUp is the spot. read more

All the bagels I had in my live before PopUp Bagels were a LIE! These bagels are light, fresh and delicious. A simple way to get great bagels with a variety of cream cheeses to choose from. Today we had the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. After the first one I almost didn't believe I had one. It was so light, not that bloated feeling I usually have after eating a bagel. The hype is real! I am very particular about my bagels, and this place nails it. First of all, I would not recommend parking in the lot. It is small and rather chaotic. That said, there is ample on street parking right there. Go for parallel parking on Post Road on the same side as the shop. The shop itself is on the smaller side, and on a weekend is likely to be a hive of activity. That's part of the charm! You know you are experiencing *something*. But let's talk turkey. Actually, bagels. There are not a ton of different kinds, but that's not what it's about. Instead, the focus is on executing the bagel to perfection. And gosh darn it, do they ever! I opted for an everything bagel which was that magical balance between crisp outside and chewy inside. Flavor was on point as well. And perhaps my favorite part was the schmear. The day I went they had a cinnamon sugar butter which was to die for. An easy recommend. read more

I thought I would miss not having the bagel toasted but you didn't need to. It's a small shop so probably best to go outside of peak hours which I did. Pleasant service a well. read more

the man there lied and told us he threw out the bagels and he didn't have any more. he suggested to dumpster dive (ew, how unprofessional) but when my friends checked the dumpster he actually had all the bagels and just wasn't sharing with us. i was there at 2:01. as loyal customers this is ridiculous and i offered to pay him double for the bagels and he "shooed" me away and told me to go home. terrible service. Yes, it's pricey, but worth the splurge! The warm bagels are so great I always need to start consuming them in the parking lot. Big fan of the everything bagel. I especially love the butters--chimichuri butter was incredible and great in other foods like potato or eggs. Same big fan of the pesto butter. Order ahead during busy times. I happily get the weekly updates is I can get the weekly schmear and butter. The Fairfield crew is especially friendly. Go early and go often! read more

Very disappointed. Ordered 3 pack of bagels - Salt bagel had almost no salt, gave me a plain instead of Sesame I ordered. and Everything was loaded but burnt. Bagel size is one of the smallest I have seen, and overall pricey at $13. Only positive was scallion schmear. read more

some marketing genius woke up one morning and decided to "revolutionize" a morning bagel concept. millions of people every morning on their way to the office stop by a local shop and get a coffee and a bagel - we are not going to do that! instead we are going to sell them a dozen for $40. sure he's gonna eat one and the other 11 will be hard as a brick next day, but we make $40 instead of $5. absolutely idiotic concept from a customer's standpoint! if you are not a family of 12 or picking up for the whole office - go to Village Bagels where you can buy one bagel. in all fairness the bagels did look and smell amazing but unfortunately i didn't get to try one. this place is a hard pass. read more
