Nice place, I ordered bagels and lox twice with all of the trimmings The first time it was packed with smoked salmon. I only missed having both sides of bagel with cream cheese. The second time I asked for both sides to have cream cheese and they cut back on amount of salmon. It's was still good but it wasn't consistent amount. read more

Thought I'd try their offerings for the first time and was in the mood for their "Steak, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich"... well, the good part: the plain bagel was very nice, maybe I'd come back for bagels next time. As for the "Steak, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich", there was NO cheese, only an egg and steak (thinly sliced like you get in a Philly cheese stake, was hoping for the bite of a steak). The sandwich was very dry (maybe add a tomato or mayo or something) but it had a lot of grease if you like your food swimming in it... not good for $8... By far, the best smoked salmon bagel I've gotten around here. No competition at all from what I've found so far. We were stopped at the light outside of this place. Saw the salmon lox bagel photo and turned into the parking lot. The man working behind the counter yesterday was making coffees, cutting bagels, taking orders, checking people out. What stood out to me the most- a customer didn't have enough cash and the ATM wasn't working and the man behind the counter said don't worry about it, just take the coffee. My mouth dropped. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and an iced coffee. Iced coffee was delicious, one of the best I've had. Unfortunately when I opened the bagel to eat it, was very disappointed. Bagel was deff burnt, still decided to eat it, as I'm half way through found a piece of egg shell on the egg . Overall very dissatisfied with my sandwich this morning. :( Service was super quick, red flag to me. I'm thinking eggs were pre made, which also caused sandwich not to feel as fresh. What an awesome little spot that we just *happened* to stumble upon! Our family has been living in CT for a little over 3 years now, and it has been SO HARD finding a bagel joint that has NY-style bagels, and not those big & tough dough rounds that some places like to call 'bagels'. I am unsure as to whether or not this place makes their own, or ships in bagels from NY, but whatever they are doing I hope they continue to keep it up. The bagels are soft, chewy and delicious! The cream cheese options are decent and flavorful. My only real complaint is that I wish the toppings (everything, for example) would cover more of the bagel. Some things to note before you go: -Get there early; bagel topping selections decrease more as the morning progresses. -They measure cream cheese by the container, not weight. As someone coming from a long history of deli experience, this was very confusing in the beginning, but now I know to just order the full containers worth. -Cash only. Don't complain, just be considerate. -Inside is a small, tight space. Normally this isn't an issue, but in our covid-related times, it is helpful when only 1-2 people are in the store at a single time ordering. A line usually forms outside but it moves quickly. these bagels are downright awful...don't see how they can even say they are a "bagel". Tasted more like regular bread dough in a different shape. Outside crust tasted the same as the inside...no chew, no crispness and no taste. Even the addition of almost an inch of cream cheese didn't help. Bagels are decent. Customer service is abysmal. I've been in there twice and both times the woman behind the counter could barely be bothered to help. She also doesn't put your bagels in a bag while you order. Instead she listens to you rattle off what you want (2 of this, 3 of that), THEN she grabs a bag and tries to remember what you said, finally asking if she got your order right. I've gotten a few different sandwiches here, but mainly breakfast on bagels - dozens and dozens of them. The bagels have always been perfectly fresh, and tasty - the ingredients always cooked exactly to my specification and the staff is always a pleasure to deal with. Being on a very active corner, having a tiny parking lot and small space inside provide some challenges when they get busy. Unfortunately, due to the size, it doesn't take much to make it seem busier than it is - but these folks actually do a grand job keeping things moving... especially considering how few people work there. read more

I got a bacon, egg and cheese on a salt bagel that I was craving which came out so good. My boyfriend got pumpernickel bagel with turkey, egg and cheese which he enjoyed. I sat down inside at their one table and enjoyed every bite. My everything bagel was fresh and tasty and the rest of the sandwich was just as good. I can imagine at times parking can be tricky since the lot is small, but that's a minor issue. I stopped in here yesterday, after doing a quick Google search for trendy coffee shops in Fairfield. I was actually looking for a place to sit and do some work, while enjoying the coffee and maybe a breakfast sandwich. I was a little skeptical of this place as I pulled up, and that proved to be accurate. First I should note that they don't take any sort of plastic it off, so you have to have cash on you. Second there is no seating outside, and the only seating inside is a single table with three chairs - which was occupied by three older ladies when I arrived. Since I was going to be leaving anyway, I only ordered a bagel with cream cheese and lox. It was OK, but I would've had roughly the same quality if I had walked into a Bruegger's or an Einstein's bagel. I doubt that I'll return personally. Seems like a reasonable spot if you want to stop in and get something on your way to work, or for a drive somewhere, but beyond that just keep driving. read more
