I am still keeping 3 stars for the original job they did. The first guy that came did a great job! However one small thing went wrong. Our soap dish was loose in the shower. It came off a few days ago. We had a warranty for ONE YEAR I think it was. We called them hoping they might fix it. Different people showed up. They had their equipment went into the bathroom and called their boss. Their boss told them it was not their responsibility. So my husband got on the phone and asked if they could fix it. They said no after having told us on the phone that they could. He asked could you at least fix it for a price? The person on the phone was not interested in helping and was going to charge half of the entire bathroom cost to fix the soap dish. She obviously did not want our business because as my husband was trying to resolve this she put him on hold , the 2 workers who had her on the other line walked out. Very unprofessional. (it was not their fault it was the person on the phone giving them directions) I do not understand what went wrong. My husband was kind and courteous and just wanted to resolve the issue. She was ONLY interested in money. He did say it was a different person who he spoke to this time. So I guess it is all in who you deal with. But if a business is not consistent, I personally would not use them again. 3 stars for the first job which was in June. But it was not complete other wise it would not have fallen apart so easily. Also they did not want to honor their own warranty or even keep our business after having paid in full in cash and also after having given the original worker a generous tip. They just threw away not only a good customer but also we live in a community with many buildings where we could refer them to other customers. There was no reason for this! I have never written a review, but I am beyond pleased with the work completed in my home. I had my bathtub and wall tiles refinished, and it looks like a new room. I priced out replacing and opted to replace for far less money. The tub was stained and rusted and the wall tiles were a mauve color. They refinished the tub and tiles in white and it looks amazing. It was done in one day, highly recommend this company. read more

TERRIBLE. Buyer beware. Most expensive, no warranty, we were so stupid to use them- they were convincing over the phone that they would do good work and the chip repair would never again be an issue. Well, it's been a little over a year and it's chipping and peeling. And they won't fix it with us paying full price again. Please use someone else!!! 1 year and 8 months ( even though this started a few months ago) is not a long enough amount of time for a repair to last.. especially one that cost $300!!! And while you'd like to make excuses such as children picking at the finish, that was not the case, just bad workmanship. I hope that this review will make people think twice before using you, unless they like to pay for work that won't last more than a year and a half- I sure would not have used you knowing that I'd be back to square one so quickly. read more

My tub was reglazed in April 2019. It is a very labor intensive job. JC was here for about 6 hours and did good work. He was both professional and courteous. The tub looks great. However, the fumes from the stripping and glazing were very bad. I could not stay in my apt. that night and went to a local hotel thereby incurring an extra expense. Be warned that you must be out of your home for a few days when this job is done. Unless you have a big place with extra bathrooms there is, in my opinion, no way someone can sleep in an apt with a newly glazed bathtub or while the work is going on. read more

I can't stress enough how happy I am that we chose to use this company for our bathroom. Not only was the price better than other estimates we have gotten, these guys know what they're doing. They were honest, reliable, and didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need like previous companies. They resurfaced our bathtub and it looks BRAND new ! Joe was a pleasure from the moment he stepped foot in our house! He reassured me that everything would be perfect, and it was ! My tub looks brand new , AND they cleaned up the area before leaving (trust me , not every company does) if I could give 6 stars I would ! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their technician locked me out my apartment after I specifically told them "NOT TO LOCK THE DOOR" because the lock is broken and I don't have a key. It cost me $150 to have a locksmith let me back into my apartment. Porcelain Industries refused to compensate me. And when I even offered to split the cost of the locksmith, they still refused to take responsibility saying that its my fault. Why would I tell him to lock the apartment if I knew the lock is broken and I don't have a key!?! They are completely unreasonable and I will be disputing the charges. read more

For anyone who has inherited a clawfoot tub in disrepair it is a tough decision to resurface it and pray. One of the leading antique dealers of this type of product recommended Porcelain Industries. My tub was 5.6 inches, from the 1880's and had an unusual motif on the side. It melted off when the work began but I was able to replace it with polyeurathane and it came out even better. Porcelain Industries nurtured the experiment with great communication, great results. The cost including transportation may have been more than a classic duravit type tub but my clawfoot is ion sale on the internet for $9,500!! So it added enormous value to a vintage home. And it feels great hen I bathe. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their work is sub-standard, they do not stand by their work & their warranty is worthless. I hired them to do a tub. The tub was not wiped dry by the technician after cleaning the tub so their glazing was all wrinkled & peeling the next day. They came to repair it but the same thing happened again. They refused to come back to repair it again unless I paid them. read more

Used company in 2006 when I moved in, had the entire bathroom done for $1000. 30 days later had them return to touch up a few spots. Overall I was happy. Jump forward to current, tiles were chipping around the grout line, dark grey underneath so it was very vi sable, total of 5-7 tiles affected. I called to have it painted again so I could list it for the spring with my Realtor, made a Saturday appointment, gave all my information and was given a price for simple repair and a full paint price if the tech felt it needed to be done. I was prepared for either, well all day sitting and waiting and they finally call. Oops, so sorry, unable to send someone to you since the girl you spoke to on the phone failed to ask me for a picture of the bathroom. ????? They did not need a picture for the $1000 job. The owner told me to disregard what the girl told me, she was not qualified to quote the job and she was doing her best........ Do NOT Use this company, I lost time and now have to locate another company to do this job which means another day off of work and reschedule what plans I already have set....Great way to treat a returning customer! I live in a 800 unit complex, already sent in my posting for the news letter warning the other owners as well as posting on our Do Not Use board in the community room. I have never done a review for a company, however, I was so disappointed with this company I feel compelled. Without going into details, I had my bathtub repainted and in a little over a year it had already started to chip. 2 1/2 years later it looks horrible and has big patches that are peeling off.
