I had come in for some service on my convertible top. I did not have a reservation, but when I called Ryan told me to bring it by that morning (Monday). I left the car and he called me that afternoon with the news that I needed some very expensive latch motors. I gave the OK and picked the car up on Thursday. I tried the top and it worked fine when I was at the dealer. I got home and that Saturday it got stuck again (sort of same issue). Initially, I was upset, but things don't always go right the first time. I came in that Monday and Ryan and the service technician could not have been more apologizing to me about the issue. I watched the technician align the top using calipers to a very high degree of accuracy and watched him diligently verify the top was corrected and aligned right. I was happy to see that it was very smooth and left a very happy customer. I believe that the top works better now than it ever did. I'm sure this will never make the Melbourne Florida review page. I always had a normal experience getting the standard warranty and service work done on both of my Porsches at your dealership. Nice people right up to the time anything out of the ordinary needed to be done and then everything I thought about your dealership was wrong. I bring a brand new Porsche in for something as simple as a rattle in the steering wheel area. The result of me bringing my car in is they wrecked my brand new Porsche, originally tried to hide it from me, took 7 weeks to get it back to me, the problem magically fixed itself (which it didn't) and the Director of your Service Department had one thing to say, "sh!& happens". So now I am working directly with Porsche North America to get the problem fixed. What was the GM response to the situation, NOTHING! No discussion of compensation for wrecking my brand new Porsche, no discussion of not being able to fix my car, just handed it back to me and got me out of their hair after 7 weeks. I wouldn't trust this dealership to do anything on my cars other than to change the oil. They are a disgrace to the Porsche logo and shouldn't be allowed to sell even a used Porsche. Since this will never make their page I will make sure to cut and paste to other review sites so that anyone that is thinking about buying a car from Melbourne Porsche or take a car to them will think twice. I will be monitoring their page and will be surprised if this one makes it! read more
