Shoes with man-made uppers are torn after only eight days of wear. Portabella does not accept returns of worn items. Buyer beware!

They sell decent suits. the staff is very courteous but very persistent. Seems like they beg you to buy a suit.

They both have decent suits for the price, but (if you read my review of Fino you'll see) Porta Bella is a little friendlier and their tailoring skills are better.

We walked into this spot on our way to another place but found exactly what we wanted. We were…read moredrawn in by the screen printed Basquiat and Jay-Z t-shirts. We were impressed by the quality of work that we saw. There are many screen printed and hand painted t-shirts and denim jackets to choose from. We left with Pop Smokes and Biggie t-shirts. Shirts are $30 and up and if you have tastes like my teens you might end up in the $50 and up price range. Definitely worth the money as the t-shirts are high quality and you're not going to find the artwork elsewhere.

As a black business owner, I usually don't like to tear down or speak ill of other black owned…read morebusinesses, but I feel like we should do better as business owners and hold our employees/associates of any degree accountable for how they treat each and every customer. And I hope this message reminds the owner (who is actually very pleasant) that employees/managers/co-owners/investors should be putting their best foot forward, treating each and every customer with outmost respect, and acknowledge that their in fact are consequences if they don't uphold that duty, that consequence being receiving bad reviews that reveal unprofessional behavior and a short tempered nature of one associate at this business. I had shopped here before, last summer and had bought a trucker hat from a local based brand. Flash forward to today, I had spent all morning at Chase bank opening another account and picking up a load of inventory I had got made from Custom EZ (a few doors down) for a Mary J Blige private event I am creatively directing. The owner as I know it, was busy on the computer. So I patiently waited to be assisted by the employee/co-owner who was busy with other customers at the time I arrived. I waited by the cap/hat/snapback section of the business because I wanted to shop and pick up another cap. The employee (whatever his technical title is) arrived to help me and I proceeded to ask him to pull from the shelves a hat I wanted to see. This is where my experience begins to go south. I ask politely to take a photo of the hat, and I get a vocal grant of permission from him, a yes. I take the photo and give him back the hat. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but admired the design. I then ask him to show me another hat and he hands the next one to me. As I'm looking at the hat, I have my phone in my right hand and rather than wait to see what I was going to do, which was actually not take another photo but to write a note to myself on my phone he proceeds to rip the hat from my hands. I proceed to say to him, that he didn't have to get aggressive and that I was just about to write a note to myself on my phone. There is no justification for an employee to feel the need to put their hands on a product and aggressively pry it out of a customers hands. Unless they are security AND they fear the customer is stealing or about to damage a product. He then proceeds to tell me that they have a 'no photo policy' And then I say "I asked you if I could take a photo..." He then proceeds to say I took three photos. Which I did not. He lied to try and make me look bad because at that point the owner was chimed in. At that point I was completely in shock trying to process what was going on and decided that was my queue to leave. Do better, be better, be nicer. Life is better when you do. God is always judging our behavior as he should.
