While the exterior leaves a bit to be desired, the interior of the store is well taken care of. We recently visited this location to get some touch up paint for our new build. Our first visit we shared exactly what we needed, flat city loft white. We did not realize it at the time, but we were given a paint and primer white, which did not touch up at all on our walls. Our second trip on, Heather assisted us and immediately noticed the issue from our first visit. She got is set up, educated and checked out...all with a great attitude! The store was well stocked, clean and again the associates, especially Heather were helpful and friendly!

When I first walked in I was enthusiastically greeted by a wonderful gentlemen who was extremely helpful and guided me to the various areas of the store that had the products I had described to him. Then he promptly set off to start my custom paint orders. The store got very busy right after that but he periodically checked in with me with a progress update. I added to my paint request a few more items and before you knew it I was being checked out with ease. I was offered assistance with loading my purchases and sent happily on my way. I told them I needed to come back the next day because I needed to do some measurements to know how much paint to buy. When I came back the next say, the same guy who was there the day before wouldn't honor the price he told me the day before. Today, I stopped in another SW because I saw they were having a sale (the one on Lafayette was closed today) and I needed some more of the same paint (another trim area). Turns out the Lafayette store had never created the account they said they were creating for me. I've used Porter Paint and ICI in Nashville before for big remodeling tasks and always make sure they have an account with my paints on file. Well, the SW on Lafayette just used some default account because I wasn't on file. To top things off, they didn't put the formula on the paint cans so they had to do a match rather than reproduce the same blend. SW paint are great. I'm never going back to the Lafayette store in Nashville.

They also employ local former inmates who are reintegrating into the community, and these guys need all the help they can get, so this is a good aspect of patronizing the store. The building is new and there is plenty of parking. It is conveniently located, although the hours are a touch limited and vary from day to day. The store employees are friendly and accommodating. On one occasion I returned an item to exchange for one that would fit my needs and the manager approved the exchange despite a store policy that would have otherwise prohibited it. This seems like common sense but, well, it's not the thing you can just expect anymore. I did not give the store a five-star rating because the pricing on many of their items is comparable to new and/or higher quality items. I think the store and the brand would be better served by a pricing policy that rewarded patrons rather than offering a 'hit or miss' gambler's philosophy.
