It's the sort of menu I once tried pitching to my mates back in the UK. Their response? "Who's gonna eat all that?" Me. Apparently. I rolled into the drive-thru, completed what can only be described as a textbook pickup, and returned to my hotel room like a man on a mission. The first casualty was the Italian beef, dressed with spicy peppers because life is simply too short to order it any other way. What happened next is probably best kept between me, the sandwich, and whatever poor soul has to wash the bedsheets. The fries disappeared without a trace. I can honestly say, in my humble opinion, the flavor of the JBB Philly cheesesteak tastes better. The chicken cheesesteak does not taste as good as the beef as far as I'm concerned. The atmosphere here is non-existent. There are a couple of TVs to watch if you are dining alone, and some old Dairy Queen-sryle booths for seating. The counter you order from is more plexiglass and masking tape than is reasonable, yet, despite that, they still manage to scrape out some of the most delicious food you'll ever taste on a budget. I like the booths, if that was unclear. They are a worn, smooth wood that conforms to your body, and nothing beats a napkin dispenser at the table, except maybe some better napkins. They provide the ones from your school cafeteria here. If you need to go to the restroom while your here, get ready for a wild ride. It's in a weird spot and there's usually a slew of boxes in the way. Anytime I am near this place, I will be stopping in for another one of those incredible Philly cheesesteaks. When I had a simple question about the menu, her response was short and dismissive, making the interaction uncomfortable. Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately that was completely missing during my visit. That being said, I also want to give credit where it's due. The food was outstanding. The burger was cooked perfectly, the toppings were fresh, the fries were hot and crispy, and everything tasted like it was made to order. Whoever is working in the kitchen is doing an excellent job because the quality of the food was far better than the service I received at the counter. It's disappointing because this place has the potential to be one of my favorites based on the food alone. I would gladly come back for another burger, but I really hope management addresses the customer service at the front. Instead of correcting it, he dismissed her and then went to the back before returning with her food. We checked her food together while on a video call and immediately noticed a white, foamy substance on her wings that appeared to be spit. Photos were taken, and it was clear the food had been tampered with. No customer should ever worry about retaliation or food contamination especially when the behavior comes from the owner of the business. This is disgusting, unsafe, and unacceptable. Meals came out quickly, burgers were huge and both came with good amount of fries. The fries had a sprinkle of some dark looking powder which I found out to be ground pepper which I did not like as it overpowered the flavor of the entire meal. Burgers were decent until I attempted to bite into a piece of bacon which was tough as leather and eventually removed all bacon pieces from my burger. My husband liked his meal but could only eat 3/4 of the burger and fries. The onion rings were dry and some were even hard and tasteless. Service was good and place was clean with plenty of tables and booths. Next time we'll stay closer to home and save some time and money when craving a burger.
