I absolutely LOVE Pizza Ranch! We moved to TX & were back in town for Thanksgiving. I wish there was a similar pizza buffet restaurant in TX! We stopped Sunday for lunch. The restaurant was packed, but the cooks kept up with the demand with no delays. I love the fried chicken & my husband loves their pizza so it's a great place to go to satisfy both of our cravings! If you order buffet, you can order any special pizza combination you want & they will bring it to your table. The chicken bacon ranch is my favorite, but there are plenty of other combos to try as well. The food on the buffet was hot and fresh. There were also several dessert pizzas to choose from, but my favorite was the cactus pizza. Overall it's a great family atmosphere, delicious food and great value for the money! We did not have a good experience at the pizza ranch. Tuesday night is kids night One child 10 & under free per full-priced paying adult. The pizza left a lot to be desired! The pizza that was on the buffet around 4:45 pm on a Tuesday night was not good and lacked variety. We requested a thin crust ham and pineapple pizza with light cheese. The pizza took 30 mins to appear on the buffet. No one told us when the pizza was on the buffet. The ham and pineapple pizza did not have very many toppings and was just ok. The salad bar had iceberg shredded lettuce and wilted spinach. The cheddar cheese and French dressing were good. However, the lettuce quality is disappointing. The fried chicken was not cooked properly. The chicken was chewy. The chicken was overcooked. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back to the pizza ranch anytime soon. read more

I must say the place is very clean and the service itself was very good. But 14.95 for lunch buffet was a bit rediculous! The pizza isn't really that good, Casey's pizza is a lot better and who eats 15$ worth of pizza at lunch anyway. It's just not a very good deal. read more

The service and people are very nice but the product is very mediocre. If you're hungry it will make you not that. I guess you get what you pay for and all of that would be towards service. I haven't been to this specific one recently, but decided to go today, Some noticeable mentions are that the bussers wouldn't pick up food on the ground, a year ago when i worked there the chicken was much much better and a lot less greasy, and their food now is subpar for the price they charge, The employee at the register was amazing so 1 point for them versus the amount against. The quality of the cleanliness was substandard as well, it was disgusting especially as a former employee to say I used to be a part of that store and for what, it went downhill and it went fast. I've been to this pizza ranch a handful of times, and when I'm there, I always engage in gluttony for mediocre pizza. It would be comparable to staying up all night for a TV marathon of The Nanny. Getting a 2 only because the staff were friendly and my daughter left happy (She's extremely easy to please!) The food was cold before we got to a table to eat it. The chicken was overdone the pizza was underdone, the potatoes were blah but the gravy was decent. The biscuits and gravy were good but you can't go wrong with biscuit gravy, it's universally awesome. Desert buffet was limited to a couple types of pie and I think some kind of cookie thingy. Didn't even bother. They have a salad buffet if that's your thing. $13 and change and they tout included drink as if that's some kind of bonus lol. Fountain machine with coke products. We only come out to this area a couple of times a year, so the small Midwestern farm town culture is always fascinating to me. Pizza Ranch fits right in with that setting. My in-laws had picked Pizza Ranch for our large group family get together. We arrived in the late afternoon and had one of their two private rooms in the back booked for the event. (Note on timing: by about 5:30pm it got SUPER crowded!) Each private room was set up to seat about 35 people but seemed really only comfortable for about 25. There was a removable wall in between the rooms for a larger party. We'd been prefaced a little bit about what to expect, but for a Pizza Ranch newbie it's a little confusing. You walk in and are immediately greeted by the cashiers who ask how many you're paying for and if you want a special pizza. There aren't any menus that are readily obvious, so I guess you just have to make up what you want/hope they have it. After that, you get a number card and your drink cup. Then you go to your table, set your number card there, and are free to go get your drink and peruse the buffet. The buffet has four stations: a salad bar, dessert pizza bar, random non-pizza food (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, etc), and then a bunch of pizza. A staff member will try to find you at some point with the pizza you ordered and ask how many slices you want. Anything you don't want gets placed in the buffet. The pizza was pretty good. Crispy crust, cheese and toppings right to the edge. I also had the apple crisp dessert pizza and wish I could've tried more dessert pizza flavors! :) Cool idea, a little confusing on the execution, friendly staff, great casual option for kids and families. read more

My grandfather (who mistakenly calls this place the Chicken Ranch) brought us here for dinner tonight. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I cringed after seeing quotes about God fulfilling something or other on the main sign and a review about a 'relaxed Christian atmosphere' which around these parts sounds like code for intolerant conservative atmosphere à la Chick-fil-A. Though I don't know where the owners do their charitable giving, it seems like the only bits of Christianity being translated into the service itself are the good ones (see above about the staff). While my family feasted from the buffet (which looked reasonably well-tended, none of the food looked like it'd been there for too long), I ordered a small spinach, mushroom, and onion pizza. It was the epitome of mediocre. Neither bad nor good, the crust was crisped nicely, the tomato sauce tasted industrial, the cheese was just a bit too copious, the onions were mostly flavorless, the spinach a bit sparse, and the mushrooms, though obviously canned were all right. This place has friendly folks and food that will get the job done at a reasonable price. This is the kind of place I'd go again with my grandpa, but never of my own volition. read more

Good pizza, ordered delivery to our hotel and it was super fast! Most places take over an hour but it was maybe 30 minutes maybe little longer, placed our order online. Delivery driver was awesome, gave us a side of ranch for the wings which isn't an option available when ordering the wings online. Food was good and fresh, will order again :) read more

We just watched greater than 24 people (counted them but stopped at 2 dozen) help themselves at the food bar without wearing any masks in a tier 3 pandemic. Not ONE staff of management tried to remind people to mask. We watched carefully. EVERYONE uses the same serving utensils to serve their food. No hand sanitizer available for those who would like to clean after serving with dirty utensils. When management was informed, they both got defensive. Will not be back. read more

Mary likes the fried chicken and sides. I like the new, improved, vegetarian Prairie pizza. We both like the salad bar with strawberries and glazed pecans. It's ok. I visited The Pizza Ranch last night with a friend. They were busy so the stuff on the buffet was fresh and hot, definitely a plus. The pizza selection was decent but they had a lot of specialty pizzas out which aren't usually something I gravitate toward. Nearly every pizza on the buffet had bacon on it. I love me some bacon but not on pizza. The fried chicken was really good. The rest of what is in that section was ok too - but it all comes out of a package. OK, first things first. Here are some reasons for not to eating here. It's not the worlds best pizza and it's not the best chicken you ever had. If that's what you are looking for you probably are at the wrong place. Wait, you may be asking, "Why five stars then?" I'm glad you asked. First, from the time you walk in the door you are treated with courtesy and respect. We were there at 6:30 PM on 2 Aug 2012 and Bill, a manager was at the register. Bill was cordial and pleasant. He asked if we had any specific requests for pizza. I assume that if we had had a yen for a specific pie the would try to get one into their rotation. (As I was leaving I saw him ask two ladies if they had gotten their request filled). Nice touch. Very classy. Unexpected at a high volume low cost eatery. Second, the food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Yes they keep the selections within reason. They had about six different pizzas out at all times. There is a hot bar with chicken (deep fried and BBQ), mashed potatoes, hot vegetables, gravy etc. There is also a small salad bar with the usual items. A big plus here is that they rotate / refill all the food items often ensuring that the hot food stays hot, cold food stays cold and nothing gets old. Third, The facilities are kept clean and appealing. You can tell a lot about a place by how it is kept. While we were there the staff cleaned the tables promptly and ensured that dirty dishes were not allowed to pile up. (Did I mention they were friendly too?) The decor is pleasant. The floors, windows, and fixtures are kept clean. Lastly, the price is VERY reasonable. I mention price last because I am not a completely dollar driven person. I like a good deal as much as the next guy but cheap crappy food is just that. The fact that the buffet, drinks, and everything else ran to a whopping $20.01 was great! Fact is this place gives exceptional value and a pleasant experience for he money. Forget the reasons for not eating here. My dad has been looking forward to coming here for weeks. When we finally arrived, it was packed! The wait wasn't that long, only 15 minutes. Surprisingly though, we barely got any of the pizza, not because it wasn't available...there was plenty to choose from, but because we filled up on fried chicken and the fixings. Pizza buffets are hard to come by in the area---especially on the weekends, which is why we've tried the Pizza Ranch a good handful of times. The idea behind it---different salads, different pizzas, fried chicken and all the down home sides---is great. But that's kind of where it ends. The chicken looks great until you're up close and personal with it then it has this amazing amount of orange grease. The pizza is mediocre at best. The "cactus bread" though, that stuff is addicting. The staff doesn't appear to be very clean. And the religiousness blaring at you everywhere is pretty uncomfortable for a public place. My main issue with the place though---the cleanliness. Seriously, it's horrible. We have a 2 year old---so we get a high chair for the end of the table. They put giant advertisement stickers on the ends of the tables that without fail collect major amounts of food and gunk from previous diners. The floor is always a mess. Everything on the table (menus, condiments) are always sticky. My husband and I just saw they were building a new location and we joke that they must not have wanted to clean their current building therefore they are moving. read more

I have heard great things about this pizza buffet place, so my friend and I decided to check it out one evening. It was a Wednesday at about 6. It was fairly busy, but, the best part was through salad bar. Even though it had a fair choice of fixings for a salad. Every slice of pizza I tried was either over cooked or just had no taste or flavor! I couldn't believe it.
