We bought a new dishwasher from Costco which included installation. Two installers From Portland Installation delivered our new dishwasher as promised on time and as soon as the truck stopped , these guys were like an Indy 500 race pit crew. It was obvious these guys knew what they were doing. Each one had a specific task and were very good at what they do. I don't think it was longer than 20 mins. They did a check of all operations and checked for leaks. They gave me an orientation on the operation and they were on their way. read more

They replaced my 25 year old Jenn air downdraft range with a newer model. It was a difficult installation as the new model is significantly different from the one existing one and also l a because of the depth difference it required cutting the existing island and moving the outlet. We had a kind of tricky dishwasher install because of a tight fit after I'd put tile along the end of the counter that hung down lower than it should. With some effort they managed to wrangle the old dishwasher out and get the new one in without having to break the tile, and they did so cheerfully. After paying another company for install but all they did was take out of box and put in place and not level, not use new hoses we purchased, not use anti tipping brackets etc. - this company did it right. I got a new electric double oven to replace my existing one. The new one was slightly more tall and they said they could cut the cabinets to fit. Scheduled for after my oven was to be delivered. On the day of the install they contacted me to say they were running late and asked if the new time slot was acceptable. I was ok with it and they let me know way in advance. The two guys that came were super professional and nice. They knew exactly what to do and went right to work. They cut the cabinet and had the oven installed in a few minutes. Everyone looks and works perfectly. They also cleaned up everything and left me the accessories and instructions. Total bill was $346 which is great for the service and work they did. read more

I asked them to install a new dishwasher. I bought it from a big box store, but my previous experience with the box store's installers was horrible. I told them when I expected delivery and they scheduled my install for the next day. They said to expect them between 9 and 10; at about 10 minutes before 9 they texted that they were 15 minutes out. They showed up when they said, the technicians were polite and professional, got right to work and had the job done in about an hour. They had all the installation stuff with them, so no excuses about the right plug or the hose too short, etc. They left the area cleaner than it was before they started. The fee was very reasonable, a little more than the box store would have charged, but service was like night and day. I'll absolutely use them again when I need something installed. read more

We needed a wall oven installed, and we heard from multiple people that Portland Installation were the best for this. Indeed they were. In the spring we had measured our space and purchased an oven from someone else. After months of waiting the installers showed up and told us it was the wrong size. Everything they told us was wrong, but we didn't know any better and couldn't do anything about it. Because of that experience we asked PI if they would come inspect our space so we would have the right measurements to purchase a new one. And they did. They told us, as we had suspected, that our situation was standard. We didn't need anything custom. We trusted them with some caution. But they delivered. Our new oven arrived and they came back to install it. Just as promised, the standard oven worked in our standard size space. They got it installed quickly and accurately and hauled off the old one. The representatives arrived on time. the price was less expensive thqan others we contacted, the technicians needed to cut through our porcelain counter as the opening was too small and they cam prepared to do so including vacuuming up the dust as it was being created. The PI installers/technicians (Jeff, and ?Tom) who replaced my 30 year old GE double oven with an upgraded GE double oven were experienced, respectful of me and my kitchen cabinets, professional, courteous, informative. They tested the new 350 pound oven after connecting it. I was worried that the new GE might not fit the existing cabinet, but they snuggly fit the heavy appliance in place without damaging it or my kitchen cabinets. I was impressed. I would use them and PI for any product installation. Some of the other bids I received from other companies were ridiculously expensive. BTW I bought my white special order GE at Home Depot on sale. If J & T couldn't have fit the new GE in the existing cabinet I would be stuck with a $2300 double oven and would have had to spend $$$$$ for demolition and replacement of the old cabinet, which I had just refinished as good as new. Portland Installation was great. I just moved to Tualatin and needed to replace my old drop-in oven. I reached out to Portland Installation, Their owner - Jim - came out and recommended I stay with a Drop-in model. He did not think the cabinets could handle cutting the bottom area to switch to a slide in. He did not charge me anything to come out. He even verified the drop in oven I was thinking of ordering would be a good option. I ordered the oven and scheduled the installation. His employees were on time, very neat, and friendly. The price was very reasonable and included a bit of cutting of the counters and the installation of the new oven. There was no "up charging" or "extra fees." The price I was quoted was what I was charged. I would strongly recommend Portland Installation if you need any appliances installed especially if you have some extra needs like built-in / drop-in appliances. read more

My wife and I ordered a full suite of kitchen appliances from Home Depot and were having their people do the install. What a huge mistake; we had nothing but issues with them. They claimed they could not install our microwave due to the way our upper cabinets were designed and basically threw in the towel. We kept the microwave and contacted Jim. His team arrived and within minutes knew exactly what to do. They were clean (wore booties over their shoes), professional, and very nice, even going so far as setting the clock to the right time and ensuring we knew about the sound the vent made when shut off to know it's normal. The job was to install washer and dryer over pedestals and replace the washer hoses because they were past their lifetime. The job was not easy because the washer is heavy and the laundry room cramped. They came the same day I contacted them because of a cancellation. They did the job as expected and without any mess. Had a great experience getting a dishwasher installed. I called to request a quote and was booked right away for the next day. Unfortunately increment weather caused a reschedule, but Jim called to inform me early and rescheduled for the the next day in a 2 hours time window. The techs gave me a call right before they arrive on site. We have a no shoes policy in the house and they brought their own shoes protective booties! I was delighted. Justin came out, took 5 minutes and two pictures and told me the office would be in touch to schedule install. Ten days and several phone calls and messages later I finally got a hold of them only to hear that "this was not in their work scope capabilities ". Glad I sat there for 10 days waiting for NOTHING.
