They came and decided our range fan was fine but to make the loud noises it makes from vibrating, found some cardboard and shoved it in place to limit some noise. I asked how much do I owe you & replied 350.00! I said for what? No parts, you were here 25min and used my cardboard. He replied, " I diagnosed the problem 120.00 and fixed the loud noises." Had Luke and his partner out to repair my dishwasher at the end of November. They did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and installing a new heat element. When they left they told me that they would stand behind their work for a year. One month later the machine died completely- I have written to them several times since asking for their help, but have gotten no response. We hired RAD Appliance Service to repair the oven igniter of a Frigidaire range (circa 2007). We are very happy with the service. What really sets RAD Appliance apart from its peers is their prompt communication, expert work, and willingness to accommodate the needs of the customer. In our case, we wanted to repair the oven igniter as soon as possible before the weekend. Luke at RAD Appliance responded quickly to our request and scheduled a time. We provided them with the range model number. Luke and a technician showed up on time. There was no small talk and chatting. They focused on the work and the repair took 15 minutes. Luke sent us a pdf invoice as the repair was finishing up. They accept only cash, Zelle, or check. RAD Appliance Services also provides 3 months part warranty and 1 year labor warranty. In other words, if the igniter breaks within 3 months, they will replace it for free. If the igniter breaks after 3 months but before 1 year, they will replace it and we will pay only for the new igniter. read more

He then said that RAD would get back to us to schedule when they would order the replacement components as we would have to empty our refrigerator for 3 days before they could work on the unit. Fast forward to 1 week later. NO communication, NO response to my texts in the hottest time of the year. I paid $120 dollars for something I could have done myself. I recommend the technician, who was very professional, get a job with another appliance repair company that matches his level of service. I STRONGLY recommend you use another company. In all honesty and no hyperbole, RAD Appliance Service deserves more than 5 stars. All service-at-home businesses should follow their operational model. Here's what to expect from Luke: 1. Communication is via text only. Don't call, you'll just get a text saying they don't answer. (If you have an iPhone, even better! Because it'll be an iMessage.) Not only does texting allow for asynchronous communication but it allows you to provide more information to them with a historical record to go back to. 2. After setting up a date and time frame, the guys coming to service the appliance are knowledgeable and know their stuff. I'm assuming by the time they come to the house, they already have a good idea of what the issue is. 3. They have the replacement part on hand. No more, "Well, we have to order the part and then we'll call you back to reschedule." 4. Payment is super easy (they only take paper checks or Zelle) and everything is done online with iPad on hand to receive payment and invoice to be emailed to you. 5.
