Worked with a guy named Andrew who showed up on time. Washer was in a difficult place to get behind with a dryer stacked on top. Andrew came up with a creative solution and working together we got it done. I had purchased the part I needed ahead of time and he made sure it was compatible and installed it. It was much less expensive than what they would have ordered and he advised me that they could not provide any warranty but the part was highly rated on Amazon so he put it in. I was very impressed with Redline, especially "B" the service tech who came out to diagnose our Samsung Refrigerator. He walked me through every step of what he was doing, showed me the volt meter readings of the temperature sensors and explained everything he was looking for so I could see what was going on. Our aging Kenmore side by side refrigerator started failing with a series of new sound patterns and temperature problems. We tried to troubleshoot by matching our situation with online repair videos but nothing really fit that well. We decided to post on Yelp and heard back from several repair places so we selected one. That brought someone who seemed very capable but he recommended that a repair would cost us more than half the value of buying a new one since they don't make them any more and parts are spendy. We really don't like sending our junk to the landfill though so we got one more opinion from Redline, who a friend of my wife's recommended. That brought out Alex, who assured us he has years of experience with our brand. His analysis came out better, where he said he would order and install the needed part and guarantee the refrigerator for 90 days, and if that didn't fix the problem we would get a refund. That's what we chose to do and it worked out great. The fridge is working very well now and we did end up avoiding the higher cost of replacing the whole appliance thanks to Alex's familiarity and confidence. A few weeks into owning our new house, we realized that the dryer was taking 3-4 cycles to actually dry our clothes and with two little ones, we do a LOT of laundry so that caused quite the pile up. Not only was Redline the only company able to get someone out to us the next day, the level of customer service was outstanding. Having never owned a home before, we were intimidated about the process, especially dealing with the appliance warranty that came from the previous owner. Andrew (our service technician) was not only friendly and efficient, but he was incredibly helpful in dealing with the warranty folks. Andrew was able to diagnose the issue quickly, provide us a quote and although he couldn't call the warranty folks directly, once I had them on the line he was able to get them the information they needed quickly. Through NO fault of his own, Andrew realized he had phrased the issue in a way that gave the warranty folks a way out of covering the repair (which...shocker...they jumped at) and told us the claim couldn't be covered. After Andrew left, I called the warranty company back at Andrew's request and told them that he had misspoken and felt that the repair was due to normal wear and tear from the previous owner (no faults of our own). Andrew even offered to call them himself to explain the situation, which he did, and got the warranty company to change their mind...which might be a first ever. Whirlpool Refrigerator Repair: Alex arrived within his scheduled appointment window and promptly diagnosed my refrigerator problem as a Freon leak. He clearly and concisely laid out my options, explaining that a small leak could be sealed, but a larger leak ran the risk of another breakdown. He gave me an estimate for fixing the leak and another estimate for failing. In the latter case, he suggested the best course of action was to junk the old refrigerator and buy a new one (about $700). Alex provided me with the information I needed to make a decision, without any pressure to go with one option or the other. I chose to have Alex seal and recharge the system, betting that my eight-year old refrigerator was still repairable. Time will tell if that was the right decision, but in the meantime I want to highlight the excellent service, communication, and transparency throughput the 90-minute service call.
