I am SO thankful that my neighbor & walking friend referred us to Roger after being extremely…read morepleased with the work he did for them. - We needed several things done: - Build a new front gate for our RV storage enclosure - Repair the back gate of the RV storage enclosure - Repair water damage to our patio roof ceiling where water had leaked down around the chimney & fireplace - Replace the threshold to the garage people door - Install weather stripping to 2 doors - Major repairs to our 50+ year old French door wooden screen door - Recaulking in our bathroom & kitchen Throughout the work Roger was coming up with creative ideas that my husband & I hadn't thought of. For example, we have a very active Malinois mix who frequently bounces off the screen door to be let in, scratching the existing Plexiglass. After considering heavy duty screening to prevent damage to the Plexiglass (vetoed because it would obstruct the view out), Roger came up with covering the existing Plexiglass with another sheet so it could be more easily replaced when we decide to sell the house. He replaced the door hinges, refinished all of the scratched wood & the screen door looks & works wonderfully. Roger is a bit OCD about the quality of his work & I'm very thankful that he is. My husband & I were both amazed at what Roger charged for the quality & amount of work he did. We will definitely be calling him when we need more work done!

He was cheerful and professional, made sure he understood exactly what I wanted, and answered all my questions. He did a wonderful job, and I am very happy with the results of his work. He even cleaned up after himself! I will definitely be calling him again for repair or remodeling projects. THANKS Dalcinco!

My wife and I ripped the house to studs (ceilings, walls, etc..), installed new insulation, and…read morethen R&K put our walls back up. We started out with a 700 sq-ft portion, but they're coming back as soon as the additional ~800 sq-ft are ready; 1,500 sq-ft in all! Upon completion of our projects, we'll have paid $6,000, for what we're considering to be top-notch professionalism and services. These folks are still working, and we are so happy with the services rendered already. In December 2013 Kathy patiently worked with us, and had drywallers onsite the day after we completed city inspections. A few days prior, they had the drywall delivered - and ALL of it was hauled in by the delivery folks. We were impressed! Kathy's drywall guys arrived on time, smiling, and ready to go. Within an hour of arriving they'd finished staging, and had begun hanging our locally sourced and American Made drywall. The work was CLEAN (almost NO DUST!), they were patient, and above all, they didn't mind when I needed them to patch an "opps" hole of my own making. By the end of the 1st day, they were already laying paper to protect the unfinished flooring, and taping the walls in advance of tomorrow's work. On the 2nd day, they again arrived on time, mud went up fast, and their equipment (BIG fans) helped move the air around. They hung around doing touchup, and sanding what little had dried from earlier that day. There's clearly pride in their workmanship. On the third day, it was time for the final mud layer. Things again went fast, and the guys departed by 1pm. On the fourth day, almost 800 sq-ft of corners, walls, and ceilings were looking very flat and ready to texture. The texturing guys arrived just moments after the drywallers. As the drywallers completed their finishing touches, the texturing pump/trailer rumbled to life...they protected/taped every window and chimney surface, suited up, and were done merely two hours after arriving. The texturing looked beautiful. At this point, we're finishing up the 2nd portion of our home. R&K has patiently kept in touch with us, and we're looking forward to completing the 2nd phase of our project, with R&K's team most certainly covering these new walls soon.

I hired Alan to replace cedar shakes and do some finishing woodwork on the exterior of our home…read more We met Alan based on a referral from another home services company. From the beginning, Alan was methodical, communicative and prompt. He showed up to give us an estimate and answered my numerous questions about the job at hand. By the end of the same day of his initial visit, we had a detailed estimate in email, which we approved. Our house was remodeled in the past with uniqueness and quality materials in mind, but with 80% completion on many aspects. We needed a contractor who could help complete our unique vision. Alan replaced a large area of cedar shakes on the back of our home, helping erase the evidence of a decayed deck we previously removed. He also crafted a solution for a corner where the previous homeowner didn't seal up the house properly. Alan was organized and gave great attention to detail. He communicated his arrival and departures each day, and ended up finishing ahead of schedule. I am super happy with the level of attention that was paid to each detail of the job, and will hire Alan again for a future project.
