Update: Ruben, true to his word, came back and fixed the corner of my shower wall so that it is ready for me to prime and paint. He also cleaned up the plaster that was on my floor. I feel kind of like a dummy. I didn't realize how easy it was to clean up the plaster off the tile floor. I could have done that myself. But he was a very good sport about it and didn't make me feel like an idiot and cleaned it up without hesitation. For that I thank you. My walls now look great. So I got multiple quotes and multiple things done over the last week or two. 3 dry wall people. One was really high bidding, one was super flakey, one was an hour late to bid and came in at a reasonable offer ( but bad communication). Then came Ruben. Ruben is a breathe of fresh air. No joke. Super communicative, ON TIME (even a couple minutes early!), pretty fast, and very efficient. The guys were also super nice as well. Picked up after themselves (even offered help on other little things). And now on to it, they did a FANTASTIC job. Can't even tell anything was wrong with the walls. Came to my property in need of a good amount of work. He walked around and looked at everything. Promised to send a quote and said he could handle the job. Then never returned a quote or replied to my two different days of messages. Waste of my time. If you are going to take the time to reply to texts, drive to someones property and then have them meet you there and do a walk-through it would be nice if you left them a bid. read more

We moved into a new house with an old alarm system. Once we got rid of the boxes, we were left with a few holes, some more sizable than others. After trying a few places to get quotes, Ruben was the most responsive and able to do the job the soonest. After some back and forth, we got set on a time. He arrived promptly and was done quickly. Using his equipment he was able to patch everything up quickly and it looks great. After painting you can't tell where the work was done. The cost was $275, which I deemed a bit steep, but for the work, responsiveness and ability to quickly repair it was worth it. read more

If there was a lower rating i would give it in may I hired ruban to fix my wall that had been fixed poorly 2 times ithad avery large hole which twice it had been mudded in and ii told him I needed new sheetrock putin so it wouldn't gave in , and he gave ne a price of 500 dollars ,I agreed on that price, it was at a renters place ,then when he had already started it ,he was just mudding in ,no new sheet rock and he bragged that this would be fine now in dec 2021 my renters in formed meet is caving in again so now I will have it Putin writing new sheet rock Do not trust him, it in writing.the new contractor is charging 350 for complete repair with new sheetrock. read more

Absolutely blown away by the speech and efficiency they got things done!!! We removed 10 wall heaters and needed the huge holes patched up on a very tight schedule. I messaged them and sent photos and got a very fair quote right away and they said they could come out yhr NEXT DAY. They finished the entire job (it was a big job!!!) in under 4 hours. I don't know why people have said Ruben is a typical flakey contractor. That couldn't be further from the truth. He was always extremely responsive and punctual. I was probably a difficult client at times but he always jumped at an opportunity to help out with things that I needed with my new townhouse. His pricing is fair and the work performed is excellent. Contacted Ruben and agreed a scheduled date which is Friday. The day of our schedule , he cancelled it and reschedule Monday. Supposed to have a flight on Tuesday but I was able to change it to accommodate the schedule. Monday came , I was expecting a call from him but no call at all. I texted him and he said he cannot do it because of the weather. First of all , he knows the weather ahead of time and he should just tell me that he cannot make it. The contractor slipped the day of finishing, resulting in my having to pay three nights at a hotel for my tenants because it was the weekend and I had other commitments before I could get the ceiling primed and painted. Ruben was recommended to us by work colleague and since we didn't know of any dry wall person we decided to give him a try. Let me tell you, I was so surprised at the speed and the quality of his work. The first time he came over, we had two rooms with exposed insulation and since we were in the phase of remodeling that we needed the walls to be put up, he came over and finished the job in 2 days, with minimal fixes. As time went by there were some exposed screws and we had a beam, part of the ceiling that needed to be covered up, he with one of his crew members came out the 2nd time and right on the spot started working on patching up previous imperfections and covered up my ceiling and the wood beams. In the beginning Rueben seemed like a helpful and honest contractor. His dry-walling and paint crew was prompt and the work was on schedule. However he had committed to do additional work on the interior and after weeks of not returning my phone calls I had to get another contractor. I understand if he got swamped with work, but without communication I was left in the lurch. It would have been better if he had just said, "hey, I'm too busy to do the work I agreed to do". Also, the drywall he put up has recently begun crumbling. He also "water proofed" an entrance which has begun leaking. Typical flaky, half-assed contractor. I suggest looking elsewhere. read more
