Update: Ruben, true to his word, came back and fixed the corner of my shower wall so that it is ready for me to prime and paint. He also cleaned up the plaster that was on my floor. I feel kind of like a dummy. I didn't realize how easy it was to clean up the plaster off the tile floor. I could have done that myself. But he was a very good sport about it and didn't make me feel like an idiot and cleaned it up without hesitation. For that I thank you. My walls now look great. So I got multiple quotes and multiple things done over the last week or two. 3 dry wall people. One was really high bidding, one was super flakey, one was an hour late to bid and came in at a reasonable offer ( but bad communication). Then came Ruben. Ruben is a breathe of fresh air. No joke. Super communicative, ON TIME (even a couple minutes early!), pretty fast, and very efficient. The guys were also super nice as well. Came to my property in need of a good amount of work. He walked around and looked at everything. Promised to send a quote and said he could handle the job. Then never returned a quote or replied to my two different days of messages. Waste of my time. If you are going to take the time to reply to texts, drive to someones property and then have them meet you there and do a walk-through it would be nice if you left them a bid. read more

We moved into a new house with an old alarm system. Once we got rid of the boxes, we were left with a few holes, some more sizable than others. After trying a few places to get quotes, Ruben was the most responsive and able to do the job the soonest. After some back and forth, we got set on a time. He arrived promptly and was done quickly. Using his equipment he was able to patch everything up quickly and it looks great. After painting you can't tell where the work was done. Absolutely blown away by the speech and efficiency they got things done!!! We removed 10 wall heaters and needed the huge holes patched up on a very tight schedule. I messaged them and sent photos and got a very fair quote right away and they said they could come out yhr NEXT DAY. They finished the entire job (it was a big job!!!) in under 4 hours. I don't know why people have said Ruben is a typical flakey contractor. That couldn't be further from the truth. He was always extremely responsive and punctual. Contacted Ruben and agreed a scheduled date which is Friday. The day of our schedule , he cancelled it and reschedule Monday. Supposed to have a flight on Tuesday but I was able to change it to accommodate the schedule. Monday came , I was expecting a call from him but no call at all. I texted him and he said he cannot do it because of the weather. First of all , he knows the weather ahead of time and he should just tell me that he cannot make it. We needed a new layer of drywall over old ceiling tiles in a loft bedroom. The finished product looks very nice (thank you Daniel). The contractor slipped the day of finishing, resulting in my having to pay three nights at a hotel for my tenants because it was the weekend and I had other commitments before I could get the ceiling primed and painted. Let me tell you, I was so surprised at the speed and the quality of his work. The first time he came over, we had two rooms with exposed insulation and since we were in the phase of remodeling that we needed the walls to be put up, he came over and finished the job in 2 days, with minimal fixes.
