    Gluten free pizza slice
    Sydney R.

Let me start by saying I have Crohn's disease which has led to me needing a gluten free diet/lifestyle. Pizza has been a rocky road ever since going gluten free because nothing has really been worth it. However, this pizza may single-handedly be the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. We helped a friend move into their new home this weekend in Portland and ordered Portland pie co for dinner after we were all done moving. It was the best decision ever. My boyfriend and his friends are all gluten lovers - they got a garlic crust with cheese, pepperoni, caramelized onions, pineapple, and burnt ends and they all LOVED it. Bonus points for the side of hot honey that they drizzled over the pizza. The two gluten free friends in the group (me included) got a pizza with half feta, pepperoni, and broccoli and half feta, pepperoni, caramelized onions, and green peppers. I am so sad my boyfriend and I live in Boston, because this would be a constant place we hit up for pizza. The pizza was nothing short of perfect and may just land as the best place for gluten free pizza in my heart. My boyfriend rates the gluten pizza as a 9.5/10 I would rate the gluten free pizza as a 10/10 easily. We can't wait to return to Portland for more pizza!

Slice of Old Orchid veggie pizza.

My husband and I ate at Portland Pie Co. on the last night of our Maine vacation. It was a Sunday evening around 8, and a lot of restaurants and stores were closed, so we didn't have to wait long. While we ate inside, it seemed like the shop does a big to-go business. We shared the Old Orchard Roasted Veggie pizza, with red sauce, green pepper, fire roasted red pepper, mushroom, artichoke heart, fresh garlic, three cheese blend and crushed red pepper. The slices were heavy on the red sauce, which made me happy, as I've been known to order extra sauce. You can get your crust flavored with beer, basil, or garlic, and we got ours flavored with basil although it wasn't really noticeable to me. I'm not a fan of beer-infused dough but know some folks are into that, and you can get it here. My husband also ordered Portland Pie Poppers, which are a seasonal item. They're stuffed with bacon, pepperoni, sausage, and cheese and come with a side of sauce- a good appetizer to share. The shop is close to the turnpike and lots of shopping and hotels, and there's a Cabela's in the same parking lot. Both of us shared the 14 inch thin pizza, and we had three slices left, which we ate for breakfast before leaving our hotel the next morning. The pizza and service were solid, and this is a great local franchise to support.

Not as good as it used to be but the pizzas are still creative and tasty. Service was good and so was the space.

    Half salad?!! Huge

Was in the mood for a chicken Parm sandwich but sadly the menu and specials offered anything but. We decided on a beer and half salad. The half salad was HUGE! Ate half before our pizza arrived. We ordered their pie with meatballs and breaded chicken (ah breaded chicken, check!) and three cheese blend. Holy cheese! Was good. We sat at a table originally but due to still cut dirty floor we moved to the bar. A menu fell and we left the floor was so dirty: Waitress was also good. We f going to Cabela's we Might try again.

Ordered take out tonight. Extremely disappointed. Order wasn't ready when I was told it would be. Okay no problem. Everywhere is understaffed. Waited 10 mins to be handed two very undercooked dishes. My pizza was loaded with toppings but was super soggy and doughy. The calzone wasn't cut and wasn't thoroughly cooked at all. Very disappointing

    Pesto Tortellini and Chef Salad

I loved the pesto tortellini which we paired with a salad. I looove pesto . The tortellini was filling and yum. The salad was big enough for the two of us and we had leftovers. The garlic bread was delish!

Haven't had a pizza worth eating here in at least a year at this location. Went for dinner last night, basic large cheese pie well done, came out mostly raw. The second attempt was burnt on top and still basically raw on bottom. Not sure if it's an oven problem or premade frozen crusts or what really. It's a shame, enjoyed many great pies in past years. Still excellent service, great sandwiches and salads.

The classic cheese and pepperoni pie was definitely a winner. The gluten free pizza had an interesting crust, not quite great, but average. Vegan cheese is no up-charge which is awesome, and melts pretty well on the pizza for a good swap. BUT let me tell you about the bacon mashed potato pie. With that beautiful drizzle of sour cream, you can do no wrong on pizza night. Magical texture, salty and creamy flavor, and just exactly what I didn't know I needed on a pie.

The pizza that we got was completed right on time and the online purchasing processes went very smoothly!

The half burnt thing on the bottom is supposed to be a cheeseburger pizza.

Ordered to go. Neither pizza had all the toppings/ingredients listed on the menu. One crust was soggy, the other was burnt. Both were inedible. This place is a waste of time, money, and calories.

Very different from Greek, New York and New Haven style pizza. Deliciously different from what we usually get in Portland. We ordered online but ate in the restaurant. The service was very good, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the Margarita pie and the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe pie. My husband is a pizza snob and he LOVED the broccoli rabe pie. Both pizzas were cooked perfectly with generous amounts of cheese. The margarita pie had just the right amount of basil. But the star of the show for us was the sausage/broccoli pie! We had never had broccoli rabe on a pie before. The broccoli rabe was tender, well seasoned, and had a floral note to it, the crust was chewy with just the right amount of char and the sauce added just the right acidity. The only thing we felt was lacking (slightly) was the sausage. It was so mild that you almost couldn't taste it. It was cooked well and no gristle at all - just lacking that sausage flavor that you expect when you order sausage on your pizza. Regardless we would and WILL order it again. We will definitely be back and strongly recommend Coletti's if you are in the area. If Coletti's is looking to expand - please come to Portland!

We were able to park right out front of the store front. Before we got off of the Pike, we ordered 2 pizzas.....one cheese and one veggie. When my wife was finished ordering and before she was told how long it would be before pick-up, the clerk told her the total price ($53.22). When I heard the price, I almost went off the road but I would find out later that it was well worth every cent! I went in to watch the process, which I love to do. It was a pretty busy Sat evening, for sure. Only one size of pizza....all large. Pizza orders of 8, 4 and 5 were pumping out the kitchen! Three workers and one register clerk made up the staff. There are 4 small tables and chairs if you want to eat-in, as well. When our order finally came out, I was a bit hesitant. I am a fan of lightly cooked and no bubbles. The pizza, when it was being cut, looked charred up a bit and had a bubble or two. As I walked to the car, I was not very confident that things would turn out the way they did. When we each started to eat the pizza, we were both thrilled with everything.....crust, cheese, overall taste and cook-style! The veggie was "delicious" and the cheese pizza was in the Louie's class (Woburn, MA). Boy, were we happy! The price was a little high but very well worth it. You get what you pay for! Soda: no Pepsi/no Coke (see pic) Parking: on Main Street...seemed easy Price: a little high...but worth it Ambience: nice little spot Will I be back?: When in Biddeford....sure Stars: 5

However, we went this past Sunday at 6:20 pm ( they close at 7:30 pm ), Restsurant was about 1/4 full. The server took our order immediately, and we waited and waited- salads nor wings appetizers did not come. The server came by our table and apologized for the delay. In the meantime, staff were hustling to clean the Restsurant: refilling and removing items from the tables, brought a big yellow mopping bucket out, and so forth . It really put a damper on the atmosphere of trying to have a nice meal out. In addition, there was only one other couple in the facility and we were still waiting for our order. Our Cesar salads finally came, with apologies for delays, then the personal pizzas came about 10 minutes after. We waited to catch the server and ask about our wings appetizer; she said it would be just a couple of minutes and again apologized. Meanwhile, we finished our meal. The server came by and stated she would take $10 off the bill. Then, wings arrived, we had them boxed up. Overall, cleaning and restocking with customers in a restaurant put a big damper on the atmosphere of our meal along with the huge delays. I shared my honest feedback with the server as we were leaving, she provided empty promises of better service in the future. We are not so sure we would return or recommend this restaurant again; obviously not the same atmosphere as the first few visits.
