Love the pizza sauce and toppings on the loaded pizza. The sausage was especially good. However , I am not a fan of their crust. I love a thin crust pizza , however this combo this thin and extra crunchy crust was not for me. Service was efficient and great thus an extra star.

I've heard great things about Angelone's Pizza. So, I decided to stop in at Pizza by Angelone in Westbrook very recently for a quick bite to eat. The menu here is dedicated to pizza. I ordered a Small 9" Sausage Pizza ($5.50 with tax) which was ready in about 10 minutes. I perused the local community paper while I waited. The pizza was just the right size to eat in one sitting and it was not greasy. I enjoyed my pizza with a cold Diet Pepsi as I rode through town. The crust was very tasty with a nice crisp on the outside. I liked the sauce, cheese and the spicy chunks of spicy Italian sausage. Overall, very good pizza. Yum! Next time, I'll order a large to bring home!

Old school! Absolutely the BEST pie in the Portland area! Still made from the Angelone family recipe and still family owned!

I rarely do this (post a poor review).... But I was unimpressed. By both the pizza and the prices.

Delicious pizza at a fair price as opposed to some of the "craft" pizza stores. Service was very hospitable and family-like.

This is the best pizza in the Portland area and that's saying something because the competition is fierce.

First, some expectation setting- You can think of it as a first cousin to a grandma style or second cousin to a Sicilian. Thinner crust, decent structure, more structured than a NY, less structured than a Sicilian or a good grandma style. It's a little lighter than a Sicilian or grandma in terms of crust. "Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.

I do wish I would have returned sooner and/or may need to come back one more time before they close. Street parking nearby was easy enough to find. Walking in mid day on Saturday it wasn't too busy so after a short wait we were sat down. Which then lead to the biggest negative of our experience which was waiting for being greeted and also orders being taken. Granted our server did apologize and thank us for our patience. We started off with a cocktail I had the California Sour (had a good bourbon kick) and my wife had the Pineapple Rum Punch and enjoyed it. I enjoyed their rotating speciality pizza that was a Chicken Bacon Ranch and it was delicious top notch pizza. My wife got the Fried Chicken Vodka Parm Sandwich and the chicken was cooked to perfection! We also tried their appetizer of Scrappy Fries and it was a perfect app for our table to share and the meat scraps stood and had so much flavor to it. Every thing we had today was phenomenal and wish we had come here sooner!

The restaurant was very busy with pizza orders and pickups when we walked in - we were appropriately warned about the longer wait times and were okay with that.
