This is a pizza spot my wife and I have gone by so many times and due to another plan falling apart we finally looked to grab a pizza here. Thankfully I had looked on Yelp recently and saw the mentions of cash only here so we could grab some before going. We called ahead for a large pepperoni and sausage pizza and the worker said it'd be around 20 minutes. Which wasn't bad considering it was dinner time on Saturday. We waited a bit once we arrived but total time from call was around 25 minutes so no complaints. Staff seemed hard to work keeping up with orders and almost all the people who walked in knew one or more people on the staff. So it gave me a sense they have a large constant following and bring people back. Small space inside with space for eating in if you want it fresh out the oven. Also your first step into the door you are greeted with the wonderful smells of pizzas being made. Once we got home we enjoyed our pizza, my wife said it was nostalgic and reminds her of the takeout pizzas she had growing up. I also enjoyed it and would gladly order more pizzas from here again. Overall if possible I would give this place a 4.25 or 4.5 star rating cause it was not quite a 5 but also a little better than 4. They have run a successful business the way they do for so long, so they clearly know what they are doing. I think it would be beneficial to have a website or even just some social media for a menu and presence in general. Also I think cash only is a bit outdated at this point and accepting cards would attract more customers. With countless places you can get pizza I do believe this is a spot worthy of giving a try! read more

I ordered 2 pizzas, and I guess I should have to checked my order in the store. I got home -20 minutes away, I did not have what I ordered. I called and I was asked "are you sure you ordered that from Angelones." When I replied with yes, remember you quoted me 36 for 2 pizzas, but it was wrong, it should have been 32. She remembered, but said she did not remember my order and asked me if I wanted to bring it back in. I replied with no, and I'm not happy. No offer to make it right, other than to bring it back in. read more

Love the pizza sauce and toppings on the loaded pizza. The sausage was especially good. However , I am not a fan of their crust. I love a thin crust pizza , however this combo this thin and extra crunchy crust was not for me. Service was efficient and great thus an extra star. read more

Very happy I ordered from Angelone's. Called in my order and picked it up on my way home. Cash only but the prices are so fair! Everyone inside clearly knew each other when I arrived. I've heard great things about Angelone's Pizza. So, I decided to stop in at Pizza by Angelone in Westbrook very recently for a quick bite to eat. The menu here is dedicated to pizza. I ordered a Small 9" Sausage Pizza ($5.50 with tax) which was ready in about 10 minutes. I perused the local community paper while I waited. The pizza was just the right size to eat in one sitting and it was not greasy. I enjoyed my pizza with a cold Diet Pepsi as I rode through town. The crust was very tasty with a nice crisp on the outside. I liked the sauce, cheese and the spicy chunks of spicy Italian sausage. Overall, very good pizza. Yum! Initially I was shocked to find it was cash only (or check) because I never carry cash and can't remember the last time I wrote a check. I figured I wouldn't be visiting much even if I liked the pizza. Now, Friday night is Angelone's Pizza night for my wife and I even though we know we have to come prepared with cash. The pizza is so good AND affordable that we actually plan ahead and get cash for our Friday night pizza fund. It's that good! Yes, right down the road is one of those fancy, trendy pizza places with their selection of dough styles, cheese choices and odd toppings but we're not goat cheese or feta and spinach people. Plus, we don't want to spend $18-$20 for a pizza. Angelone's is fast, cheap, delicious and basic pizza. People who like Alex's Pizza in Biddeford will most likely like "Loney's." The crust is not crisp like Alex's but still, it's yummy. If they delivered I would gain 100 pounds. read more

This is the best pizza in the 'Brook. Granted, the competition isn't that stiff. Thin crust, good sauce and toppings. I really like the retro vibe of the place esthetically. It is made to order and took about 20 min for two pizzas for pick up. I've been a few times and will be back again. It's cash only and they do not deliver. I also thought it was on the expensive side. A large pepperoni and a large Hawaiian cost 29.00. While the end result was satisfying, accepting credit cards, offering delivery, and lower prices would boost their rating much higher. A great little spot regardless. I grew up eating Angelone's Pizza, primarily from the shop in Westbrook. It used to be a favorite...apparently, things change with time and not always for the best. Ordered pizza on Saturday evening, didn't expect a 30 minute wait for a pick up order. Not overly impressed with the pizza. The crust was a little overcooked, the toppings on a loaded were not in the quantity that other area shops offer. The cheese was adequate but the pizza just wasn't up to par. As a family run business, expected a little more customer service also. I placed the order myself and was not told that it is a cash only business. The son wanted to argue that they tell everyone that. I hate to complain about a local business. There are so many choices available now that you can get with the click of a mouse or have delivered.....local businesses have to keep up with technology or hang it up. This place is not the same as it was back in the day. There are other pizza places out there, you would be better off going elsewhere. read more

Im from Texas and I try to come to Maine each year. The first stop once we leave the airport has always been Angelone's. The pizza here is the best that I've eaten. The people and service are also as good as it gets. Everyone, including the owner, are very pleasant to talk to.
