Ya know... this wholebsports thang, isnt my thang... but when I got some tickets to the timbers army section... we had a blast!! I dont know what to say, but the beer, cider, food, and yelling really won me over, I'm kinda digging the idea of going to another one soon!! You know how to do it Portland!

I love these guys to death. Williamson and blanco in the bench.... Sav is done. Pull your head out of you know where. What are you doing? If there is pressure from anyone, man up, don't let terrible owners control you.

    Terrible seat design cut me

All the seats on the upper level have seat numbers drilled into them. The two screws stick out on each seat and when I stood up I had a nice flesh on skin ripped off me. Terrible design and now my lower back is bleeding... sickkk. FIX YO DAMN SEATS

When I root I root for the Timbers! I felt like by the end of the match I had learned all of the chants! I come from Houston where we have the Dynamo. But in a city like Houston, there is so much to do as far as sports that I don't get to experience the Dynamo to the fullest. However, here in Portland the Timbers are the team! I had the pleasure of getting to sit...scratch that...stand in the TImber's Army section. They are loud they are crazy, but it was a blast. The team itself is very skilled. Lots of offense and solid on defense. If anything they have motivated me to get tickets for the Dynamo in their crazy fan's section.

What a fantastic atmosphere to catch a live footie match! Good seats, food, drink and pre-match banter included. Fun watching the Timber Army sing, chant from beginning to end. Lots of drama in the game also made for compulsive viewing. Will be back!

Non can compare to sitting in the army. Sec 101 is a welcomer of all. Take it to heights of frivolity. There is no cpmparison to sitting or ahould i say standing and jumping and shouting and cheering with 1000 of your closest friends for the next hour. Shake your keys as they announce the opposing team and cheer as they announce the Timbers. Get ready to know tour cheers be prepared if need be go to the website and get the words

Our old home team against our new home team. What to do? What to do? I guess this is the last time I root for the Red Bulls. The Timbers are a far better organized team. Although, I am impressed with the progress the Red Bulls have made in a short time. But now I'm a Portland resident, and when in Rome...

What a great place to watch a soccer match! My compadres and I were smack dab in the middle of the Timbers Army back in April and had a really great time! I appreciate what my friend had to do in regards to securing tickets and seats for the match. I had no idea the hoops Timbers Army ticket holders have to jump through by lining up at the stadium the day before (or day of) the match to get wristbands so you can sit in the general admission/Timbers Army section. Then on match day you hustle to get to your preferred seats and save them for your friends. It reminds me when we used to send pledges down to Husky Stadium to save seats for the upperclassmen! I really like that they play in repurposed Providence Park which was formerly known as PGE Park - the former home of the PCL Portland Beavers Baseball Club. The grandstand really amplifies the cheering! Only negative for me is security which I would give one star because there was a guy in my row that had a large folded knife hanging outside of his vest. How can you miss something like that? ________________________________________________ | | | ***THIS IS YOUR TICKET***THIS IS YOUR TICKET*** | | | | PORTLAND TIMBERS | | VS. | | SEATTLE SOUNDERS | | | | PROVIDENCE PARK - PORTLAND OR | | _________________________________________ | | SECTION ROW SEAT | | GA GEN A | |_______________________________________________ |

The friends said it was a uniquely Portland thing, and... They were right! Parking seems to be limited near the stadium, we pregamed at a bar a ways away and walked to the stadium. Upon entry, we hit up the merch, because I definitely needed the GET PICKLED shirt I got. Then I got some fried pickles from the concession stand. It was a busy night, but we found a spot with our chairs eventually and enjoyed the ride. There are so many fun traditions here ("dolphin!" and the routine when the Pickles score a run)! And who can forget Dillon T. Pickle? Now THAT'S a mascot. Plus, there's a theme for very (?) game, so when I went, they did a rocket launch after the game. I had such an amazing time, and now I'm a Pickles fan for life! Highly recommend going if you're in Portland!

As a big NBA fan in the late 90s and into the 2010s, and as a Georgia Tech alum and longtime men's basketball season ticket holder, never in a million years would I have guessed Damon Stoudamire - of all people - would be one of Tech's head coaches. That was a connection I would have never made. I always saw Damon as a Portland/Pacific NW/NBA kind of guy, *not* an ACC men's basketball coach. I told Damon that when I met him, back in 2024, and he listed a few connections to Atlanta that included his sons. I knew he was well-connected in the basketball world and I could see why Tech's then-athletic director J Batt hired him. Damon can now add ACC head men's basketball coach to his journeyman resume. Also, Damon hired Bonzi Wells to be on his staff. I watched those two up close and in person at about 50 home games over the last three years (2023-2026). Anyway, this review is supposed to be about the Blazers. When I think of the Blazers, I think of Damon, Bonzi, and the "Jail Blazers." I first saw them in person during the 1999-2000 season at Staples Center, Portland at the Los Angeles Clippers. I liked that team and wanted them to win the 2000 NBA championship. It's too bad they didn't because they got so close. I highly recommend watching the 2026 Netflix documentary "Untold: Jail Blazers." It features Damon, Bonzi, and Rasheed Wallace. It's very entertaining to hear their first-hand accounts of the Jail Blazers era. I grew to really like and respect Damon and was sad to see him go. As a diehard Tim Duncan-era Spurs fan, I thought Tiago Splitter did a nice job as interim coach of the Blazers this season.

The fam somehow scored free (!) tickets to the Fourth of July fireworks game, so we did what I vowed to never do, paid the $9.50 in parking (because we'll never make back the investment otherwise) and went to the new ballpark. In some ways, they listened to the complaints I've been making for years. The new place no longer angles fans directly into the setting sun, which is really the bare minimum, and actually has some hops growing on the grounds. They have roughly as many bines as I have in my backyard, but it's something. Maybe now that they're partnered with local brewery Budweiser, the team can take those hops down to the brewery in Van Nuys and make a batch of Hillboro Bud Light. There are some local partnerships (look at that shiny Portland Cider bus) and some party decks, and I'm told they change up the menus for certain promotional nights, but that hasn't done much to change the culture of the place. During a 1-0 loss coming toward the end of a full-series sweep by Spokane, the crowd was not only as library-silent and stoic as usual, but listless. You got the sense that the baseball was a perfunctory requirement and that the fireworks display--as was so often the case at the old building's "fireworks Fridays"--was the main event in a town that lacks a civic fireworks display of its own. Again, we didn't pay for our tickets, but the pricing at this level of play seems like madness. Yes, your get-in-the-door price is $11.50, but that's to walk the grounds and maybe sit on a berm. It's $23 to sit in the worst corner, then $30 to $60 for any non-lounge seat. Get into the lounges--your tax dollars at work--and its $85 to $135. For single-A baseball. Never mind that you could've seen NBA basketball for less this year--and could definitely catch the WNBA, NWSL, or AUSL and better athletes for a better price. The Hops seem bent on "dreaming big" and trying to woo a coveted AA team here, regardless of what it does to attendance. I saw MLB tout the Hops' "record" Fourth of July weekend box office, but didn't see them note that Sunday's game pulled in just above 1,200 people--or about 1,800 less than what softball's been averaging right across the parking lot. In fact, much of the Hops' attendance for this season has fallen below the 3,000 mark, which would've been a comfortable squeeze in its old 4,500-capacity digs. Now that it's allegedly seating 6,500 (though a "sold out" 4th was sub-5,500), I'm wondering if attendance means as much as amenities in their equation anymore. They promised concerts later this year, and they're bringing in one surviving member of Chicago, but if the main draw is going to be the same sub-.500 minor-league baseball they've been pushing at taxpayers in recent years, they may be better off just hosting fireworks and taking notes when their "women in sports night" comes around. Congratulations to the Northwest League's first-half champion Eugene Emeralds, whose city government said a word in their stadium debate that isn't in Hillsboro's vocabulary but saves taxpayers a whole lot of money: No.
