Picnic table seating in the outfield has the added benefit of being near the bullpens
    John K.

We've done a couple of family outings, and have purchased a picnic table in the outfield. In pandemic times, it means we're able to keep our distance from other fans, and as a group, it gives everyone the chance to interact better than we could in traditional seats. Be aware, though, that you'll either need to turn your head to watch the game, or sit sideways on the benches. A wonderful benefit to outfield seating is proximity to the bullpens - it's wonderful to be able to watch the pitchers warm up, and to hear the players yakking among themselves, or with the players on the field. The laid back environment at this wonderful little ballfield is perfect for Portland. Pickles games are perfect for groups of any size. Be aware that street parking may leave you walking a fair distance to get to the game.

    Great night out!

When it comes to Americana and hometown fun, this night out is a pure hit! We went for Woof Wednesday, so even our dogs got to cheer on the Pickles. Exploding Whale night did not disappoint! The crowd is fun loving and there's lots of food and drink options at the park. You can pick from inexpensive bleacher seats or even more affordable spots in the outfield if you bring your own chair. You don't have to be a huge baseball fan to get caught up in the antics and joy of the game.

Go support this team. Go more than once. You will have a blast. Beer, food, happy fans, buff players, affordable prices. College players on their way up. Seriously, go get pickled. You'll be glad you did. Bonus for parents: there's a grassy area where the kids are all running wild and happy, the way they should be, watched over by everyone, while you relax with your crew.

    Dill with it!

How can anyone not give this effort five stars? To each their own. What fun! Great little park. Two blocks from Green line MAX Holgate stop. They do their best to provide beer and food and it's great! Just be a little patient people....tickets cost 6-8 bucks and picnic areas and fam friendly too. Nice beer selection. Dogs and burgers that rival Safeco. Cash machines. Hot Pretzels. Merch galore. Oh AND DID YOU KNOW this is wooden bat baseball?? Hard to find in the minor minor minor leagues. Just appreciate it for what it is. Go have fun. Support a Portland neighborhood. Hug the Portland Pickle. You won't ever forget it ;)

    Every seat is great!

Totally cool fun experience for the entire family. Affordable seats, cool and fun crowd, and nice food options. I had to post some pictures because the site was a definitely in need.

Thanks for ruining my kid's day!

The family berm seating is first come, first serve which means people like these folks (shouldn't they be wearing MAGA hats?) can park themselves right in front and block the view of other people who just choose to sit on the grass.

Great venue, wonderful fans that are eager to share what they know about the game and the point system, super welcoming staff & volunteers and spectacular teams. So much fun. The energy of the crowd was awesome. The announcer keeps the spectators engaged with play by play in the fast moving arena. After the first period volunteers came out to race on tricycles keeping the energy hyped and engaged. Fantastic sporty and some very tough roller derby battles. Crushed it.

Its pretty easy to follow and wow does game play go by fast! Our friends try to get the VIP couch so we even got the full treatment which was neat. There are snacks at a pretty decent rate - hot dogs, nachos (which are crazy big and loaded!), sodas, candy and chips plus a beer/wine garden. Cash only so plan accordingly but their merch table can take cards and they have some pretty great merch. This was standing tickets only, no seats. Also no private area and there were tons of other people so very few people could actually see the field to watch the game. $50 to just get in to the park. Then let's talk about the catering, paid $11000, that's right $11k to run out of some cheap pulled pork and baked beans. Think $10 plate dinner, but paid almost $70 a person. Worst of all they ran out of food and drinks. Their way to make it up was a platter of $5 grocery store cookies. I've never been so frustrated and disappointed

It was a big win for the city as an Atlanta pro sports team had not won a championship since the Atlanta Braves won the 1995 World Series. The Timbers played Atlanta United in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Timbers were the MLS Cup 2015 champions, beating Columbus Crew SC, 2-1, despite Portland playing a road game at MAPFRE Stadium in Ohio. The Timbers set an MLS Cup record in that match when Diego Valeri scored only 27 seconds into the game (fastest goal recorded in the championship match to date). Valeri went on to be named MLS Cup MVP. Also, similar to Atlanta above, it was a big win for the city of Portland as a Portland pro sports team had not won a championship since the Portland Trail Blazers won the 1977 NBA World Championship Series (now known as the NBA Finals). Caleb Porter coached the Timbers from 2013 to 2017 and, somewhat ironically, has been head coach of Columbus Crew SC since 2019. He was a great coach for Portland. The Timbers' first MLS season was in 2011. So far, the 2015 and 2018 MLS Cups have been the team's only appearances in MLS' championship match. In those seasons, the Timbers finished in fifth and third place, respectively, in the Western Conference. Both in 2013 and 2017, they finished in first, but were unable to make it past the Conference Finals in 2013 and Conference Semifinals in 2017. In 2013 and 2018, the team had impressive 15-game unbeaten streaks. Overall, all seasons combined, the Timbers have been a middle-of-the-pack MLS squad. Over the years, goalkeepers Donovan Ricketts and Adam Kwarasey tallied high numbers of shutouts. Some of their single-season shutout numbers approached league records. In 2013, Ricketts had 14 shutouts and in 2015, Kwarasey had 13. Incredible. Portland won the one-off MLS is Back Tournament in August 2020, earning a spot in the 2021 CONCACAF Champions League.

You will be on display, tested and worked with to see if, you can make it in the BIGS. So, it is a lot of fun to watch the players on both teams try-try-try as hard as they can. The new stadium that is brand new this year, has got to be the nicest minor league stadium on the West Coast. It has something for everyone with multiple levels of seating. From, $12.00 admission in the grass area where the kids play ground is, $22.00 seats on the first and third base line all the way up to $122.00 seats that include a full buffet with free Beer and Wine during the game. The regular game food on the first level is affordable and very tasty. The Maletis group is a sponsor, so you will find a lot of Budweiser Beer and local Micro's too. PARKING is about $10. Get there early as the closest spots get taken quickly. The OWNERS, attend every game since they moved the old Yakima Bears team from Yakima, WA to Hillsboro to start the HOPS. So, this is a Family affair, not just a bunch of investors. GO to see the HOPS! You will not be disappointed.

Pros- the stadium is old, but still pretty nice. They've done some updating. I was surprised by the number and variety of food vendors. Cons- The announcer was not very good and made a lot of mistakes. "Next at bat, #16".... um, no, #16 was the kid who was just out. He said the sound system was new or recently improved. But the sound was terrible- was way too loud, and scratchy. They played ridiculously obnoxious canned sound effects all night long- lots of buzzer sounds, a line from a movie, the law and order dun-dun, 80s video games beeping, air horn effect, so many dayo's, short clips from so so many songs (lots from the 80s), loud cartoony Woohoos, and much more. Constant overly loud scratchy noise all night. Two lines of a song into two lines of another song. The umpire had to tell them to stop playing loud music while a player was at bat. If you find baseball relaxing or like the pace of it, Salem Keizer might not be the place. I have never heard sound effects like this. A kid from the opposing team got hit while at bat, and they played a loud dun-dun-dun, which was pretty tacky. Any time anything happened and anytime nothing was happening. They played 5-10 seconds of easily 30+ different random songs- EMF unbelievable, rhinestone cowboy, dirty deeds done dirt cheap, what is love, boot scootin boogie, 9 to 5, shut up and dance, Batman and A-team themes, etc etc etc. It was so obnoxious and gimmicky that it detracted from the baseball. I don't know whether I want to go back there.

It's embarrassing watching an umpire forget a baseball rule and then eject a manager for trying to correct him. Hearing things like "that's a mavericks league strike" only further diminish your reputation. I doubt this will even reach someone who can and WILL make a change but fans should know. Don't waste your money if you actually like baseball and watching a competitive game supported by knowledgeable umpires who don't have a personal vendetta with players. Your money would be better spent at the Keizer little league fields watching 8u baseball.

As a big NBA fan in the late 90s and into the 2010s, and as a Georgia Tech alum and longtime men's basketball season ticket holder, never in a million years would I have guessed Damon Stoudamire - of all people - would be one of Tech's head coaches. That was a connection I would have never made. I always saw Damon as a Portland/Pacific NW/NBA kind of guy, *not* an ACC men's basketball coach. I told Damon that when I met him, back in 2024, and he listed a few connections to Atlanta that included his sons. I knew he was well-connected in the basketball world and I could see why Tech's then-athletic director J Batt hired him. Damon can now add ACC head men's basketball coach to his journeyman resume. Also, Damon hired Bonzi Wells to be on his staff. I watched those two up close and in person at about 50 home games over the last three years (2023-2026). Anyway, this review is supposed to be about the Blazers. When I think of the Blazers, I think of Damon, Bonzi, and the "Jail Blazers." I first saw them in person during the 1999-2000 season at Staples Center, Portland at the Los Angeles Clippers. I liked that team and wanted them to win the 2000 NBA championship. It's too bad they didn't because they got so close. I highly recommend watching the 2026 Netflix documentary "Untold: Jail Blazers." It features Damon, Bonzi, and Rasheed Wallace. It's very entertaining to hear their first-hand accounts of the Jail Blazers era. I grew to really like and respect Damon and was sad to see him go.
