I have had their pizza as well as their calzones. Both are great! The price and quality of the food equal a wallet friendly place to get a bite to eat. If you enjoy the pizza at Little Caesar's then you should enjoy this pizza as an alternative choice and the quality will be much better in comparison. When I place an order, I usually call it in by phone. It's usually for a calzone with a garden salad. Stopping by for pick up is always easy and the service is good. I pay money for food; good food received - done deal. Moreover, I find that most people are often friendly when you are friendly yourself. Everyone I've encountered here has had time for a friendly greeting although it is obvious that they are actively busy filling orders for other customers. This is a small family owned joint and there is occasionally a help wanted sign out front... but this has not had an effect on my experience getting food here. Moreover, I gotta say, this place must have hustled to stay around and survive the covid-19 pandemic. Mario's Pizza in Fontana is seriously one of my favorite local spots in Fontana. The food is always hot and on time. My go to is their XL with 2 toppings and 10 wings for like $30 bucks. The prices are super affordable compared to other pizza or Italian places. They even have great deals that won't hurt your wallet, and I've had their lunch specials a few times too which is a total deal! Their service is very good, one time I needed a full tray of lasagna and some pizza for a last minute family gathering and Mario's pizza still came through and had it ready right on time. The owner and staff was taking orders while I was placing mine but the owner was very nice and informative. When it comes to the food, there's lots of room for improvement, but it wasn't horrible. The fettuccine had a strange taste, but according to my friend, the garlic bread made it better. The pizza sticks needed a little more seasoning and the pepperoni was soft so they could've definitely stayed in the oven for two or three more minutes to make it crispy, but the sauce was great. Just a PSA for my vegans, the marinara comes with meat!! The Italian sandwich was delicious but Like I said prior, it just lacked a little something. Microwave frozen pizza is better than this joint. One star is too many. Three month old hotdogs boiled in dog water is a step up from Mario's. The bread horrible and soggy, the eggplant is supposed to be fried and layered with cheese and sauce was slimy and grey and nasty, the roast beef is a cold sand which and dull, the meatballs where ground beef in sauce NOT MEATBALLS AND GROSS. This is a travesty and should not be called Italian food it was not something I would serve my dog. The pizza was all Aight but had no personality.
