They have the best pictures and books I have ever seen and I'm 80. Praying they will return to the South Bend/Mishawaka area.

I was not impressed. First time to the studio. Staff was not friendly. One employee there, and acted as though she'd rather be somewhere else. I will give her credit for "putting it on" for my 4-year-old grandson who was being photographed. Printer was broken when we went (I was told beforehand), but then never received a call when prints were done. I called 2 weeks later and was told they were ready. Stopped in to get them. Two employees there, and both were involved in taking photos. Had to wait 20 mins just to get the prints (already paid for), and again, felt as though I was more of a bother than I was appreciated. This, plus the fact that their packages are expensive, I would not recommend. read more

I have gone here three different times in the last 1.5 years and have been treated with kindness and respect each time. Kelsey and Ashley are pleasant, accommodating, professional and fun. Each of my four children (ages 10-2) have enjoyed the photo session and the ladies have captured great smiles. I have never felt pressured to purchase the more expensive photo packages but have felt properly informed about the different options. Twice I have only gotten the emailed coupon special and the third time I purchased a larger package. Their attitude and professionalism was not based on how much I did or did not spend. The pictures were printed quickly and look great! I have recommended this place to several friends and will continue to get my family and individual photos taken here. read more

Awesome experience! The photographer, manager also, was amazing. She was patient with my 3month old son, took the time to talk with us about what we were looking for and made the portrait picking process simple and easy. Our photos turned out great. I must admit the pricing is pretty pricey though. We only wanted the CD with access to print anywhere and the only option for that was $300 (comes with more, but we didn't want any of it really or to pay that price). Went yesterday to have my 3 month old sons Christmas pictures done. Kelsey B did an amazing job!! I loved how she worked with my son. She got down on the floor with him and played with him had him laughing and smiling. Most photographers don't interact with the kids like she did. My sons pictures turned out amazing. I would go to her any time I need pictures done. There were a couple times he got fussy but she was patient and waited for him to calm down. He was fussy while she was taking my picture and she picked him up and held him as she took my photo. I will continue to go there for my sons pictures!! read more

I will never make an appt. with this place again. Besides it took more than an hour past our appt. time, the pictures cost A FORTUNE and anything extra, you couldn't save a enough money. So okay, you have wasted your time because they don't respect it, then cost ya an arm/leg...and then when you get the pictures, well the printer I had back in 2007 could have printed a better quality pictures. Every year I add one or two more pics to my montage and I've had a picture added to this since 1999 and that was the first time I didn't feel it looked right. So what this was a special occasion and she will only be 16 once. Never never never would go again!!! read more

Took my granddaughter for her 1yr smash cake pictures and was delighted with the photos. Although we had to wait well past our appointment time the staff was great! They took the time to give us many different poses and backgrounds and were very accommodating with the cake smashing mess. We also use a professional independent photographer but feel Portrait Innovations is an affordable option for capturing special moments in pictures. The best part you get to take your pictures home the same day! We will be back. read more

My granddaughters have had a Christmas photo taken every year since 2003 at Portrait Innovations. Today my daughter sent me a coupon for 42 photos for $14.99, that ended today Nov. 22. We went to the appointment, the photos were taken immediately, we went through the shots taken and listen to the big sell. I only wanted the $14.99 deal. The woman working with us could not see a code, so the deal was not available. She did not make any attempt to find a code in her paperwork. She tried another deal that still would have been $39.?? and could not get that to work. Of course the $42.78 deal worked. I was not happy, but rather than make a scene I paid. Then she tells me I can not have a receipt because the printer is not working. I am very disappointed by the poor service we received. When I went to the site, right there was the coupon for the $14.99 deal and the code WB8153. read more

I have had back and forth experiences with this studio for three years now. Sometimes it's as good as passable, usually it's mediocre, today it was crushing. My daughter turned 3 today, yay! As a tradition we get photos taken ON our kids' birthdays. I knew I would be late, so I did the adult thing. I called and pushed my appointment back an hour. We arrive slightly early, as is proper etiquette, and waited. And waited. And waited. Two hours later, after they had already pulled one customer that was behind us in line and had arrive 45 minutes after us, they finally got to my daughter. If you don't have a 3 year old, you don't know this a d it doesn't matter. If you do have or have had one, then you know... By the time our session started it was more than an hour past our appointment time. The photographer was about as useful as a lump of clay shaped to hold a camera. I don't think he ever pushed the button (something these people are notorious for, they miss SO many cute expressions). At one point I even said "Do you have thus and such prop? Sometimes that cheers her up" because at this point my child was screaming and crying and flailing, it was horrible. He said "Yea, I think so" and proceeded to stand there until I said "Think you could go get it?" So he finally goes after it, but this guy is so rough and unpleasant that she will absolutely not let him point a camera at him. I finally said that's enough and took my children to the car. While my husband was getting them strapped in I went back inside to make sure that this store full of people who just glared at me and my poor daughter as though she were an alien monster knew what had transpired, and that it was her birthday. The three employees at the counter, no joke, stared at the desk heads down. When i called them on it one looked up and said "We're going as fast as we can". Well then clearly you are overbooked and understaffed, and my daughter's birthday was spoiled as a result. I had to remind them before I left that that only real appropriate response was "I'm sorry" before I got an apology out of them. This is a day I can't get back. The people whose job it is to create memories destroyed mine. My oldest child will only turn three once, and I don't have keepsake photos of that day. read more

This place sucks and should never be visited. My sister who is 20 took me and my brothers who are minors here to take pictures to surprise our parents. She read online to make sure a parent doesn't have to come. So, she made an appointment. We get there and we wait 40 minutes just to be told we cant surprise our parents because a parent wasn't there. The website did not say anything, and we were super excited. This place told it to us in a rude way to. We will never return here and want to help people to not come here. read more
