I spoke with Marco who was eager to help me figure out what I could do while I get a new tech in. He asked me several questions and had me check our pump, telling me exactly what to do. Matt walked me through the whole process, finishing options (we chose midnight blue pebble w/crushed abalone mother-of-pearl), made a few AWESOME suggestions on finishing looks, and let me know that the pool couldn't be heated for about 30 days, so I immediately: - signed a contract - pushed off the work until late October, figuring the swim season would be over by then. I was wrong - I swam the morning that we drained. Matt's team showed up the next day and woke up the neighborhood with demolition of the old plaster. Two days later they were laying in the new surface! Acid wash the next morning, and BOOM. Start the fill. We had our pool re-plastered (regular plaster, not Pebble Tec), Kevin was the designated service…read moreperson going forward and responsible for the pool startup (under our contractor). On day one he dumped about twice as much salt into the newly plastered pool as would have been needed given its size, along with the conditioner. This is 4 weeks too early according to the recommended procedure! The new plaster was beyond repair in no time. The salt chlorination cell failed as the salt level was way beyond its operational threshold. In the following days he did not show much urgency to bring down the elevated salt level, he even left the pool controls in service mode once, and another time had a valve switched manually causing the spa to get pumped dry the next morning. The pool had to be re-plastered again. Kevin did not accept responsibility for ~ $11.000 damage he caused, and walked away.

Since we've hired him our pool has gone from murky, green and gross to sparkling clear. I can't wait for the warmer weather so we can start using it again. He and Nariel do an excellent job.
